The battery in the key fob died. Upon attempting to turn the car on, the car completely shut off. Nothing works and is completely blacked out as if the battery is dead. Jumping the car with jumper cables rebooted the system but the same thing will happen ONLY when the battery in the key fob dies.

There’s no way for me to put my hazard lights on due to car shutting I had to hurry up and jump out of my car to direct traffic to go around me. I feel like Ford isn’t any help when it comes to an issue like this cause this really is a safety issue what if the car behind he wasn’t paying any attention and crashed my rear end even though they’ll be at fault. July 11, 2024 Message alert appeared indash with instructions to service ABS system. This vehicle experienced the exact same issue in April of 2022 and was taken to the dealer(Patterson Dodge-Tyler,TX) for repair, where the ABS Module was replaced. The replacement was not covered by the warranty.

Issue is with Ford 10R80 transmission. While at freeway speeds ( 60/65 MPH) transmission is engaged in 8th/9th gear and you command vehicle to downshift to a passing gear (3rd for example) with a 3/4 throttle input - the gear indicator light shows 1st gear ( which is not possible going 60MPH ), but the vehicle falls into a false neutral basically loosing all power. The RPMs will rev all the way
... up, and you have to take your foot off of the accelerator and allow approx. 5 seconds of "coasting" before the vehicle is able to get itself back into a gear to resume power. This failure happens basically on command, and you aren't able to apply more than 1/2 throttle while driving down the freeway. Reported defect to Peoria Ford who told me no TSB exists for this issue and they aren't able to fix anything because no DTC error codes exist in the computer so I need to come pick up the vehicle. I am not forced out of a Ford rental and back into a vehicle with a known safety defect according to your TSB bulletin 22-2428. Ford needs to recall these unsafe vehicles off the road instead of currently waiting for the warranties to run out on all of them so they aren't liable for repairs. This is a well known/documented safety problem and needs to be addressed ASAP with a nationwide recall. Also, power running boards fail to deploy causing a fall hazard ( my pregnant wife has fallen out and in of the vehicle because the step isnt there. As I was driving my vehicle last Sunday the "Power Steering and the Service ESC" warnings came on my dashboard as well as the "Traction Control light" I audible sound came on and I lost power steering. When I went to drive my car to my service station everything worked fine for a few blocks the problem came back. I drove it to my local service mechanic and his scan tool gave an error code of CO545
... . I did some research on this issue and found that GM put out a Special Coverage #15356 for the power steering sensor. This coverage expired in 2021 however my vehicle did not have this problem until last week. My car only has 60,000 miles on it. Yesterday I took my vehicle to the GM dealer that I purchased my vehicle from and the said I have to pay $200.00 for them to diagnose the problem (which I understand) but the service writer told me that GM will probably not replace the parts needed because their "Special Coverage" expired in 2021. I am asking if the government can force GM to recall. I thank God that my wife nor my daughter was not driving the vehicle when this happened or they may have been hurt or worse fighting the steering wheel to keep the car going straight until I could stop it saftly.Read more

The steering system on our 2019 Honda Civic "sticks" when operating the car. When driving on the interstate, even a small adjustment to stay in one's lane requires a significant force. This causes the car to over-correct once the steering breaks free. At times the force is so high that the lane keeping assist system (LKAS) feature is unable to provide the necessary force to make the correction.
... Also, when at high speed going around a curve (like on a flyover ramp going from one interstate to another), the wheel is very difficult to move. Typically, a car's steering will tend to move back towards driving straight. This tendency doesn't happen at all. If I don't return the car to straight with significant force, the car will continue the curve and would eventually drive off the road. The steering has been inspected by Honda technicians and they recommend replacing steering gearbox and tie rods. The car has 65,000 miles on it and replacing the steering at this age seems irregular. While I have the latest date I drove the car listed, this is a persistent problem and has been an issue for several months.Read more

The contact stated that while his grandfather was driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The grandparent's vehicle was left at the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was returned to the finance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000. St235 80/R16 Today a tire under proper pressure blew traveling with a 30% load at 70mph. The tire split from the rim to the tread causing the tire and tread to fail.
