... ler and they had never heard of the issue. They tried to do diagnostics but had no way to determine if it was the BCM. Finally, I asked them to just replace the BCM even without a diagnosis, and after 2 months (there were significant back orders of this part) we were able to get it installed in the car and all was fine. Fast forward to last week (April 2025) and it’s starting up again - electronics turning on randomly, battery drain, windows going down in the garage, warning lights all illuminated, dead battery every day - so the BCM that was installed in 2023 has failed AGAIN. Honda absolutely knows about this issue as they have a recall for Accords. However, I paid $1000 to fix it in 2023 and will no doubt pay at least that much now to do it again. Meanwhile, the car is effectively inoperable and can’t be safely operated on the road. Honda needs to RECALL this issue and fix it for good.Read more

We had it towed to shop where we were told we need new turbo, new engine, power steering service, ac service. The total Cost was $6813.54. We had to take out 2 loans - 90 days same as cash then 145% interest as well as pay $243

We are now stuck in the middle of nowhere with our [XXX] granddaughter. Thank God a police man drove by. The next day we had to have it towed back to shop. Once back to the shop we were told that the engine or labor that they just put in our vehicle would not be covered by warranty. Nothing was fixed!!! I contacted the attorney general. We went to pick it up on 3/28/2025. Once they got involved the shop agreed to do all repairs for $1873.96. (pay $600 now and then post date 2 more checks). I received a Safety Recall notice on this known issue about a week after the first incident in 2024. I took my vehicle into the AutoNation Ford Dealer in Littleton, Colorado immediately after I received that notice and they supposedly 'fixed' the issue under the recall 24S37. Obviously, the issue has not been resolved. I am asking for a deeper look into the safety issue as I am sure I am not the only one this is happening to. I am also concerned that there were no warning lamps or messages that would indicate a problem that needed to be addressed! The truck is currently back at the AutoNation Ford Dealer in Littleton and is available for inspection. They are telling me there is no current recall for this issue. How can that be true if it’s the exact same problem and their Safety Recall ‘repair’ didn’t work? I believe the repair was just a software patch, but I can’t be sure. Can you please help me find out what the recall (24S37) was supposed to fix and why it didn’t fix the problem? Their suggestion now is to replace the Valve Body with a cost of $2,554.63 (in addition to a $219.95 diagnostic fee). My concern is that even this expensive repair might not actually solve the problem, and I am truly afraid to drive this vehicle. MODULES: Reported the display changing 1/30/23 with 26,608 miles, service documents state related to telematics controls. They replaced the module. Vehicle had a delay in shifting, reported on 06/06/23 with 36, 303 miles. Transmission control module was out of calibration and was reprogrammed at a dealership service department. Vehicle shifted into neutral multiple times. Reported to service department 09/08/23 at 38,183 miles. The transfer case lost communication with the brake control module, but they started communicating again without repairs according the service invoice. Then there was a recall for the screen switching displays, which it has done the entire ownership, even after replacing the module. BATTERY: Vehicle died at highway speed 1/12/23 with 25,404 miles on it. Towed to dealership, battery died while driving. Vehicle would not start 12/01/24 at 88,013 miles, battery was dead. ENGINE: Reported engine knocking and high idle 1/30/23 with 26,608 miles on vehicle. In service department until 03/03/03 with no issues found. Took vehicle to another dealership service department 06/06/23

Filmed the engine noises and high idle on 06/22/23, engine light came on and returned to service department at 37,265 miles. Engine was replaced after a lengthy wait time for replacement. Cam and Lifters were the issue in original engine. Received vehicle back 08/30/23. MODULES: Reported the display changing 1/30/23 with 26,608 miles, service documents state related to telematics controls. They replaced the module. The multifunction forward looking camera in the top of the windshield developed an "internal fault" and either needs replacement or these safety features will fail to work. These safety features allow me to avoid accidents. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer. There are warning lamps that state that these features are no longer working.

This issue is related to the gear shifter on the vehicle. When stopping the car and putting it into park the dashboard shows the message "Shift to Park." this vehicle has only 50,000 miles on it and this issue cause safety issues as the battery on the vehicle will drain as the car can't be turned off with this message.
