We were making a right through an intersection at a speed of 9MPH when the car in front of us hit their brakes unexpectedly. My 30 year old son was driving and felt like the brakes did not respond when he pressed them. My truck did not stop until it hit the car in front of us. It did start beeping just before impact and the dash lit up but the brakes didn’t engage until after impact.

This is an ongoing issue that I have brought to the NHTSA's attention before, which resulted in a special coverage program being issued; however, now GM is not willing to assist me with the special coverage program due to a branded title (used vehicle), and the condition is only getting worse. Tonight, on August 16th, my vehicle experienced a complete loss of power, including engine functionality
... and fuel/propulsion systems. This stems from the original complaint I filed last fall (11614068) in relation to the turbocharger. I was advised by GM that they would not service my vehicle multiple times by rude supervisors, as my vehicle did not qualify under the special coverage because it's not a "safety issue:", and that the NHTSA has not issued a safety recall for this issue, when it's a safety issue. This is outrageous, and I URGE the NHTSA to look into the severity of this issue. It's only a matter of time before I am on the highway when my vehicle experiences what it did tonight. A complete loss of power, engine functionality, and the fuel/propulsion systems. I already had a near-death experience while driving on the highway when my engine power was reduced, which caused me to go from 65MPH to 40MPH in seconds on a highway, in the left lane, and I almost got rear-ended by someone going 75MPH. This is a safety issue, and it's not just impacting me. I find it so misleading that GM sent me a legal letter stating they knew there was an issue with the turbocharger and that they would take care of the repairs at no cost to me. The first line on the legal document states, ' Your satisfaction with our product is important to us," unless your car is used and has a branded title. There is nothing on that special coverage notice that explicitly states your title must be clean. I urge the NHTSA to issue a safety recall on the turbocharger so other Americans like me don't have to spend months going back and forth to get a simple repair done, an essential safety repair.Read more

My rear shocks have been corroding on the external resevior attached to the lower shock body and is rusting really bad in the exact place where the manufacturer of this vehicle says that it's breaking down ( rusting ) at. I want the dealership of the manufacturer to replace my rear shocks with new shocks and not put RTV sealant and a retention clamp on this external resevior as stated as one of the remedies the manufacturer has listed in a letter sent out to all of it's dealerships about the manufacturers recall on the rear shocks . In the manufacturer's letter it does state that one of the remedies is replacing the shocks but ONLY if the shocks are leaking oil from the shock resevior/ flange damper area . The corrosion on my shocks are bad . The manufacturer is not SERIOIS about fixing this problem and is why I trust NHTSA to help me and thank you NHTSA .Read more

Subject: Urgent Vehicle Safety Complaint – 2019 GMC Sierra Denali Escalating mechanical and electrical failures — many beginning before 100,000 miles, and continuing as of today, at approximately 110,000 miles. These issues have made the vehicle unreliable and unsafe to drive. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have had it serviced regularly and reported that it was driving rough, jerking into ge
... ar, and showing early signs of engine and transmission problems. These issues were noted during multiple multipoint inspection services, yet no lasting solutions were provided. Major issues have included: •Engine performance failures •Fuel injector malfunction •Serpentine belt and idler pulley damage •A/C compressor belt failure •Power steering malfunctions •Vehicle stalling at traffic lights •Loss of power on major highways •Rear window water leaks •Significant and ongoing electrical system problems •Shaking when brakes applied after having brakes and rotors replace in March •Screen monitor going out after paying over $ 900 dollars for updated software and repairs to the electronic component that cost over $2500. Despite continued maintenance, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, my truck began losing power and smoking heavily while driving on a busy highway in Georgia. My grandchild, who was riding with me, yelled, “Grandma, it’s smoking — please get out!” as we pulled off the road in fear of a fire. This terrifying incident left us stranded and emphasized just how dangerous this vehicle has become. I filed a formal complaint with the GMC Corporate Office, but no support provided or an investigation. Over the past six months, I have spent more than $5,000 trying to keep this vehicle operational. So many critical systems have failed, despite consistent maintenance, raises serious concerns. Finally, the fuel injector repaired 3 days later a message on dashboard displaying service Tire monitor system and steering wheel shaking when brakes are applied.Read more

In February 2025, my jeep would flash a “Service Hybrid System” code that would last about 3-5 seconds and disappear. This happened about 4-5 times over the next few months, code would not stay up and vehicle seemed unaffected. On June 10, I was driving with son on a highway about 60 mph when my car completely shut off, no power to engine, no power steering- absolutely nothing. We experienc
... ed a very aggressive jerk when this happened and I limped the vehicle off to the shoulder- we live in a remote area and I had no cell service. I was able to restart my car and drove it in “e-save” mode home. The next day, I drove my car again and had my son and daughter in the vehicle and the same exact thing happened. I was driving about 55mph around a corner with a large semi coming at me in the oncoming lane and my vehicle shut off and lost power and power steering. I was terrified that I would veer into that truck and there was not a shoulder readily available. We had to yet again limp the vehicle a few yards around the corner to pull off and I did not have service. So I had to walk to call my husband to pick my children up. The car has been at the dealership since then and told there is a digital crash code showing with no eta on a fix. Stellantis has denied a buyback yet my car has 26,000 miles on it and is under warranty with no eta on fix. Vehicle is unsafe to drive and unfixable for 60 days now.Read more

For the middle row, right passenger seat, the seat belt alert (visual and audio alert) goes off even when the passenger is properly buckled in. It is intermittent. This is a safety issue as the alert keeps beeping throughout the journey. The beeping can be very distracting when driving due to the noise, and also as it raises concern of safety. My workaround is not to use that seat (an inconvenie

The vehicle is out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty thus discovery and fixing the issue (if there is any) will be out of my pocket. I recently took my 2012 Mercedes-Benz E350 to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership after experiencing corrosion of the rear subframe. After removing the subframe for repair, they observed serious corr

Most likely, the issue would not have been discovered if the dealership had not removed the subframe. The dealership advised me that this issue requires immediate service due to safety concerns (potential failure) as the braking system could fail while driving the vehicle. The cost to have the work done is $5800. Beyond the dealership service center, I'm not aware if brake line has been inspected by others (engineers) in Mercedes-Benz. However, this issue appears to be frequently observed in vehicles experiencing the rear subframe corrosion issue.Read more

ting to formally report an ongoing and unresolved safety issue with my vehicle that poses a serious risk both to myself and others on the road. Despite this, the vehicle is currently not communicating properly, and the diagnostics data are incons

Here are the key concerns: •The vehicle has shut down multiple times while in motion, creating a dangerous situation. •It is only achieving ~10 MPG, a drastic drop from expected efficiency. •I was explicitly told not to drive it until the problem is resolved due to safety concerns. •The dealership has refused to repair the issue and has provided false information regarding diagnostic codes, which I’ve recorded for documentation. •This problem has persisted for nearly a year without resolution. At this point, I’m left with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate and a dealer network unwilling to take accountability. The uconnect touchscreen had bubbling in upper left corner within the first year of being brand new. OH AND THE MYSTERIOUS GLOBS OF CLEAR ADHESIVE GLUE DRIPPING BELOW THE SCREEN more specifically dripping below the control knobs that are below the screen right into my center compartment where the USB ports are located! This is a known issue caused by a manufacturing defect with the glue used by Jeep to bond the layers of the screen. it should absolutely be a recall covered by Jeep! My warranty has expired so no luck for me unless uconnect covers it. Fingers. crossed on that. I checked fuses all good, did a soft reset that brought back charging ability in usb ports and the screen turned a dark blue instead of black but wtill no function, and did a hard reset by disconnecting my battery cable for 1/2 hr. Nothing worked. I was told it would cost over $2000 not including labor if the uconnect system needs to be replaced. My jeep only has 12500 miles on it. Its keep in a carport with a cover and very well maintanined. This is absolutley a safety issue! So dissapointed as this will potentially be the 2nd expensive issue with my jeep coming out of the pocket with such low mileage.
