I took the vehicle to BMW service and they confirmed there is a fault in the harness that allows the airbag, seat belt and tensioner to not operate properly in the case of a collision. The service advisor admitted they have seen this before and knew how to repair it. The repair is too costly to investigate the harness where the defect in the wiring occurred, so the opt to replace the harness in a parallel manner, which still takes 7 hours and over $2200. The vehicle is only a few months out of warranty and has less than 18,000 total miles. They is no way that the harness experienced normal wear over the years to cause this with such low miles. They attempted to blame the Arizona heat as possible cause, but the vehicle was in Illinois to 2 of the 4 years and while in Arizona, it is parked in my air conditioned garage. Heat is not the cause. This situation is a design defect during assembly or a defective harness at manufacturer. BMW would not accept any responsibility for the issue, which is a safety liability to passengers.Read more

It seems to malfunction when the headlights are activated, and I noticed there is a unit mounted on the back of the headlight assembly that appears to control it and the headlights, as it is one unit. I recorded it on video, and when I took it to the dealer, they were able to confirm the issue. They are going to replace that assembly. After some research, I am discovering that this is beginning to look like a common issue as others that own 2022 model years and up report the same thing. My vehicle has only 12,600 miles on it, and I have found people with 2024 GMC trucks also experiencing it. This is concerning as it is a safety issue with nonfunctioning turn signals or running lights. As I stated before, the first time it happened there was no warning that the driving light wasn't working nor was there a warning the first time it happened that the front turn signal wasn't flashing for over one minute. Most times your signal isn't on for that period of time. Mine is warranted but some people said that without proof; the dealer can't duplicate the issue, so they aren't replacing it. Out of warranty the lighting unit costs about 1,500.00 and it isn't something an average individual can replace. GM also charges a 200.00 core charge on these. ... umber of these cars coming in with the same problem. Many people are being told Ford will not cover the cost of their bad design, causing this issue since they don't meet the criteria. As a retired helicopter mechanic from the Army National Guard, main components like an engine block and cylinder heads should not wear out unless there are many more miles than our car has. We regularly service the car for oil and other items as called for in the owner's manual. I've called Ford Customer Service three times and can't get a commitment from Ford to pay for it. Or Ford claim number is CXH-02801631-B0D5W8, and while the vehicle is affected by the attached service bulletin, Ford will not pay for it. Dealer can appeal for financial assistance to cover the cost. Nobody will tell me what the criteria is to get this covered by Ford. The service bulleting appears to apply to our vehicle so I would think Ford would take care of their customers. The check engine light is flashing making this car is not able to be driven based on my mechanic's direction. Otherwise, we are risking further damage to it based on Ford's error they are dumping onto the people who bought their product. We are the original owners of this vehicle. If NHTSA has not started the process of a recall on this item, we strongly recommend you do so. This is a repair that has $2,848.19 for parts plus 28.2 hours of labor per the dealer at almost $200 / hr. is $5,600 +/- and a grand total of over $8,500. I purchased my vehicle early August 2024 at Knudson Foothills Mazda in Spokane, Washington. Within the first five hundred miles of use, I noticed that my steering wheel would not maintain center alignment. I took it into the shop explaining my issue and they were fast to acknowledge the alignment was off and that they realigned the vehicle. The steering was off center alignment within 20-40 miles
... so I again, contacted the dealer and told them I expect a more thorough inspection. They took a brief inspection and realigned the vehicle again. At pickup, the service advisor said "the suspension is settling, this is normal. If it happens again, don't bring it back for 5K miles." They also proceeded to tell me they could not determine the cause, so they called the Mazda Technician hotline which is where they claimed to have got their answer for me. The center alignment did not last more than 20ish miles and has gradually gotten worse. If this were "normal", they would have been able to tell me on the first visit instead of two and having to call their own tech hotline. If this were "normal", I would be able to find reputable sources online confirming this. If this were "normal", I would not have been told to endanger my life for an extended 5K miles before asking for this to be fixed again. I do not feel safe in my car. Each time I call the dealer they tell me to wait until 5K miles. I have filed a complaint with Mazda USA but have not heard anything since. I'm currently looking into attorneys to go after Mazda USA as I feel the vehicle is UNSAFE to drive and they are being NEGLIGENT on their approach with total disregard to consumer safety. Searches online indicate this is likely a result of faulty parts used when the vehicle was manufactured. Vehicle developed right wheel wobble on left turns over 90 degrees, when speed is ~40 mph or above. Unable to safely make turn, at speed. 3 trips to dealership, issue persists. Vehicle threw a “VSS fault” and went into “limp mode” preventing me from driving over 40mph - was in the mountains, 60 miles from home. Serious safety issue, feel unsafe on the vehicle, no longer willing to ride.

If you do not change the super bottle the car drives on very limited speed limits which can be dangerous if you need to make a quick fast maneuver. All fuses on the power connections test as properly functioning. There is a recall covering RAM 1500 trucks from 2013 - 2019 for this exact problem definition, but multiple RAM dealerships that I have contacted state my vehicle does not fall under the recall (per VIN). The NHTSA needs to investigate this complaint and hold RAM accountable to fix the known issue on all RAM trucks. It is not a matter of if, but a matter of when. Steering wheel clock spring is not working. Controls wipers, turn signals, speed control, voice commands, lane aware and allows to toggle thru control settings do not work. Ford doesn’t have part available or an ETA. This part covers vehicles from 2013 thru 2024 so currently vehicles coming down assembly line are using. My car is unusable like this. I didn't know how to report this Im pretty ignorant to this type of thing however I did complain to gm by way of phone few times I called early on. No one at the dealership will help. Im literally in fear of me and my children's life. I test my luck because I don't know what else to do and can't afford another vehicle. Please help this complete dead stop sometimes turns the back end of my vehicle if im going over 70 when it stops, for this reason I drive like 40mph. While driving to the same local dealer, the vehicle shut down, and the mechanics had to push the vehicle into the service department. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V104000 (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC), SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.Read more

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the thermometer and the receptacle were replaced; however, the check engine warning light illuminated while driving 60-65 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fourth and fifth cylinders were misfiring due to the engine overheating.
