On 11/11/2024 while at an intersection with a redlight, I was the first car in the "merge to the right" short lane, stopped and waiting on right lane traffic on the road that intersected to clear. When it was safe to go, I moved my foot to the accelerator and nothing happened. I realized my vehicle had lost power / "died;" that all dashboard lights were out. I quickly put my vehicle gear in "Park"

I was terrified as I proceeded in the right lane of traffic since I had vehicles behind me as well as in front of me and I had to cross an intersection with traffic merging from an interstate highway. There was not a safe place to go; all businesses along this stretch had no entry except on their back side. I had to proceed across several major intersections before I could get to a safe place. Meanwhile, warning lights continued and included more than Brake System Failure. One was showing a Warning diagram about changing lanes of traffic which I had to do. Obviously, brakes worked because I was able to stop when needed but I was afraid the brakes would not work which could have been deadly for myself and others. Once I was stopped and in a safe place, I called Honda Roadside Assistance and my car was towed to the nearest Honda dealership. As of this writing (six days from incident), Honda dealership is still investigating; they have not given me a cause or solution. They are providing me with a loaner car. There is no recall on 2024 Honda Hybrid Touring although there are multiple posts online with people saying they had same thing happen with this model vehicle.Read more

Why is this vehicle not included in the Ford recall of faulty rearview cameras? The $165M penalty should be broadened to cover these failures in earlier model years. It is not just 2021 models.

I was informed of recall on my 2018 Honda Civic. I have called my local dealership - Lees Summit Honda, since receiving the recall notification. I was told there was a national shortage on parts and my vehicle could not be fixed and to call back next month. I have been calling monthly since receiving the recall notification. I again called my local Honda dealership and was told the parts are not available. I advised that I have been experiencing an acceleration issue after slowing down, such as when I slow down to make a turn. I was told that I could bring my vehicle in for diagnostic but if it is the recall issue they have to keep my car for safety. They do not have loaner vehicles but offered a rental for $50/day and no indication how long it would be before my vehicle would be repaired. Currently I have been waiting 10+ months (300+ days). If the repair takes another 300 days that would cost me $15,000 plus my monthly car payment. I believe Honda is encouraging people NOT to bring in their vehicles for repair, instead to continue driving a vehicle with known safety concerns.Read more

Codes P0302 & P0316 Misfire on start & Cylinder 2 Misfire. Found Cylinder 2 has Coolant Intrusion. TSB 22-2229 needs a Long Block Motor Replacement. TSB was written in 2019 & Ford did nothing about Notification to anyone. Cost of repair is $ 7130.66,

I called Ram customer service on 11/6 and disconnected right when they were giving me the case number. I called back on 11/7 to get the case number and was informed that the last person never created one. She created 2 case numbers for me, 1 to look at the vehicle as this is a major safety issue and another one for my rental car expense and told me I would be contacted in 4 business days. On the 4th day I called customer support back and they told me to tow it to a local dodge dealership and confirmed which one to send it to that was close. I called to have it towed there and called customer service back to let them know and the women told me that they denied my claim on 11/8 and in addition she informed me that she also had me tow it to a non-authorized dealer. I was never notified and why did they have me tow my vehicle to a dealer if they never planned on looking at the vehicle. Also, they let me eat this cost and the cost to tow it out of there. I need my truck back and I can no longer afford the rental car in addition to $3800 (right now) to fix the truck so I am having "My Mechanic" (name of shop) fix this issue and I am paying out of pocket. However, they can only find an OEM part and I am afraid that this part may end up being faulty as well.Read more

On Sept 29, my vehicle’s engine light came on while driving on a hwy. I have kept the vehicle serviced, and have all maintenance records. Due to minimal shoulder space, I continued to the nearest turnoff, and before approaching the turnoff the engine shut off entirely, creating a dangerous situation (no power, no power steering or power brakes), and I was forced to cross the highway by coasting.

Transmission lock up traveling 45 miles an hour while acceleration up modest uphill grade pulling a 3000 pound trailer. The lockup was severe enough to cause passengers to lunge forward with seatbelt engagement. ... control of the vehicle if the lockup was for longer duration. Vehicle also had prior hard shifts that are still occurring. These hard shifts usually occur in the lower gears with acceleration and deceleration. Vehicle was taken to the dealership with an explanation of the event. There were no codes. The dealer recommended a transmission fluid change to smooth the shifting. This seemed to decrease the frequency of the hard shifts but did not eliminate them. The vehicle has not been inspected by police, manufacture or insurance company. The dealer did not do a thorough transmission inspection. The reverse sensors are faulty, causing the GLC300 model to randomly auto-brake while going in reverse. My driveway is flat and long with no significant grade changes and this has occurred at another location as well with similar topography. ... new vehicle has been checked out by Mercedes-Benz of Cary service department 2 times, since buying new April 2024. They brought my car out to my house themselves and experienced the auto-braking first hand. They brought out a second GLC300 and it auto-braked as well. The technicians have calibrated, and updated the sensors to no avail. My driveway is long and flat with a slight slope at the end, but it happened to me at my friends house who's driveway is all flat. This is a serious safety risk for me and all passengers. It makes everyone tense not knowing next time it may happen. No matter the revering speed, or if you keep your foot on brake lightly as you are backing up, the glc300 randomly will auto-brake without any warning lights or sounds. The tires screech, it locks up in an instant. It is frightening and we are scared to anticipate the next occurrence or risk bruising our body or head injury. Even when I manually over-ride the rear and/or surrounding sensors, turning them off temporarily as I back up in reverse- the car will still auto-brake. Mercedes has yet to agree with me that this is a safety issue and on 11/8 asked me to pick up the car. I refused until the issue is fixed. They still have my car in service, it has been 3 weeks since 10/18/24. This was the 2nd time I brought in in for this issue since I bought new March 30 2024. The factory stereo is defective and produces a terrible static noise that is uncontrollable and regularly reaches over 100 decibels. All 2016-2017 Honda accords will have this issue.

The fuel pump power control module (p129F, I believe) failed. I was in the carpool line when the engine sputtered then turned off, and would not turn back on. The engine light also came on. I had to walk my children the rest of the way, then got a tow truck. There were no dash light or other indications of a problem ahead of time. My local GM dealership was not able to get to me for multiple days
... , so I towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic. The mechanic informed me that there was already a recall on this part (Recall number N212332040). I paid for the repair, and when I contacted GM, was told that my VIN was not included in this recall. I would like my VIN added to the recall and other VINs with this same part that were not originally included in the recall.Read more

Issue-1 High pressure fuel pump in the engine bay (no the fuel pump that was recalled for some VINs) failed at 88000 miles. There was a loud motorcycle exhaust kind of sound coming from the engine bay , which is more audible from inside the cabin than from the engine bay itself. Took it to service center for a 1500$ replacement. Wrote to Honda customer care , but they rejected by claim and good
... will refund saying there is not recall for this item. It is example of poor quality of Honda these days especially with this 2018 Nine speed model. Issue-2 MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. The vehicle doesn't accelerate while moving from a complete stop or turning into a busy intersection , making us prone to big Collison from oncoming traffic. The vehicle lags for 3-5 seconds before it accelerate rapidly. This is an ongoing issue with this model which Honda ignores and is a disaster waiting to happen. NHTSA should look into this and recall all HONDA 2018 9 SPEEED ODYSSEYS to fix this issue. It is been 6 years and Honda comfortably ignoring this safety hazard especially for a vehicle meant for kids.Read more
