On 12/13/24 after a software update my rear , front and side cameras stopped working. This includes blind spot cameras, and side turn signals. In addition the side mirrors are tiny because the car was designed to use cameras. The back window also has very low visibility. They say the car is drive able, but without the main safety cameras I don’t feel safe, the aesthetic of the car was designed to have working cameras. It is very hard to use the tiny side view mirrors and look out the tilted rear window. This is a commuter car, driving over 90 miles on highway per day. I am concerned for safety issues.Read more

Since the weather got colder, the driver's instrument cluster does not display immediately when the vehicle is powered on. When cold, the cluster takes from a few seconds to several minutes to come on. While it is off, there is no access to any warning lights or messages.

... lowly – then intersected with the rear bumper of a Honda – slowly I braked – then went into Drive mode to get out of the intersection. Then I lost control of the car. Car went lurching forward fast – zoomed up over parking curb – 5 in – side-swiped the side of a tree with right front bumper – gashed with parts flying all over the grass. Crashing noises from jumping the curb and hitting the tree. I braked hard and got vehicle to stop = approx. 3 feet from another tree – which I would have hit straight on. No airbags were deployed. It all happened at high acceleration in an instant. After I recovered from the shock, I assessed the situation. The dashboard showed a malfunction – right front tire – no air pressure. Contacted my insurance company – GEICO – and opened a claim. GEICO arranged for my vehicle to be towed by ASAP Towing to my home. Took photos of the wreckage – collected all the pieces I could in a bucket – some were too large to fit into my car = air dam or some sort of under side cover – made of gray bendable plastic. Called ASAP - the towing company – asked about a flat bed as my front right tire was flat and the front bumper of the car had fallen off. My Leaf needs to be repaired. Service advisors advised me to drive carefully, which is an absurd solution for a car in this condition. I financed this vehicle at $1,600 per month, and now I am left with a dangerous and unusable car. I demand that immediate action be taken to resolve this recall, including expediting the availability of the required parts. I also request that I be prioritized and placed at the top of any waiting list to have this issue resolved as soon as possible. The lack of cameras impact the ability to see the rear when going into reverse since the rear camera is not functioning. I had a Juicebox 48 charger installed in my garage in late July 2024. Less than 6 months later, early in the morning on December 14th, when I was unplugging my charger it began emitting a loud beeping sound that sounded like an alarm, it also hadn't charged my car fully despite me setting my car to charge above 80% for that particular trip. When I returned that evening and tried to plug my car in
... around 10 p.m., I found that the lights on my charger were off and the charger was not sending power to my car. The Enel X-way app was also showing that the charger was offline. The next day, I had the electrician who installed the charger look at it and he found that the breaker for the charger had not been tripped. He flipped the breaker to power-cycle the charger and nothing changed. After removing the charger from the wall, he discovered that the wiring to the charger (connectors) had been singed and/or melted for a significant length and that even the non-melted wire connected to the charger showed signs of being exposed to high heat. The breaker showed no evidence of damage which suggests that the heat was localized from and around the charger. It is the professional opinion of the electrician in this case that a significant fire was narrowly and shockingly avoided. It is worth noting that the electrical work was done by a master electrician who primarily works as a state electrical insepector with over 30 years of professional experience.Read more

Subsequently, I drove to work to let my supervisor know i would need time to go to the dealership. I was concerned air bags would deploy since that didnt happen. Also because the car didnt stop on its own felt the integrity of systems were questionable. So, I repeated the steps at work like the incident. Except, I stayed in the car. The car beeped and the dash said Shift to P when my door was open and placing in drive and reverse. I NEVER got any indications of such when the car hit the barrier. I found the two DTC's that showed on my Hyundai App were related to DTC U110387 and U110382. I had 99 miles on the car having purchased it with 15 miles on it. The original date of these DTCs is Aug 27th, 2024, with a last reported Aug 30, 2024. I see recalls 24V529000 and 24V246000. I don't know if they are related. but this has to be addressed. My car is at the dealership being repaired and my insurance rate will no doubt go up and the value of my car down. This isnt right.Read more

Windshield washer fluid is leaking from the reservoir/pump near the front driver side tire when the rear window wash is activated. The bottle already became empty once. There shouldn't be any leaking to begin with but this is also a safety issue if you actually have to use the windshield wash while on the road and there is no fluid in the bottle because it leaked out.

I stop to look around my vehicle to see if anything is leaking or dragging nothing was dragging but maybe one or drops of something I touched the solution to feel if it was water or oil? It felt oily so I drove to my mechanic he lifted it up on the racks. We both could see some solution was leaking around possibly where engine oil plug is then we saw it had been leaking back to middle of my vehicle water area and running back to the middle of my vehicle. My mechanic decided to put the machine that checks for certain items on vehicles I know it checks my sensors not sure what else?? He and a couple of the other mechanic stop and help him. I left my vehicle he let me drive his vehicle home he wanted to check other issue tomorrow. Next day I got to the mechanic he said he knew it needed a transfer case and 4 sensors he said it would take time to buy a new transfer case for 2012 BMW 528I xl so to leave my vehicle with him.Then I get this letter today 12/13/24 from BMW DATED 10/2024 it states there defect which relates to motor vehicle safety issue which means a part is being recalled on my vehicle!! It had caused my vehicle to be in the shop continuously, my front driver side tire is worn out. I had to replace all brakes and rotors after 2 years, numerous sensor issues, radiator loses fluid as well as software issues.

Vehicle runs with reduced engine power. Was initially told the turbo needed cleaned, and it continued to happen. Then was told it needed to be replaced. The final result is that the tube that connects to the turbo keeps falling off. Being told there is no fix, and no recall, we just need to keep putting it back on when it pops off.

Ford Motor Company said sorry, the 7 year in service date on this vehicle expired on 10/19/24 just 12 days earlier, and refused to fix the engine. I had to pay the Ford dealer a $210 check out fee then go to the expense of towing the vehicle back home and stuck with a junk vehicle that Ford knows their ecoboost engine has a manufacturers defect.Read more
