2012 Prius in very good condition with 180k miles- only 12 years old. Driving on back roads (thankfully) and the drivers side rear wheel compelely fell off while driving. I was doing about 30 MPH and felt like there was a flat tire so I was in the process of pulling over when the whole rear assembly snapped. Although this is a Massachusetts car I have owed it since 25k miles and have maintained it impeccably. I always have the undercarriage cleaned after driving on salty roads. Safety inspection was current- only done the month before. Had that wheel bearing replaced about 2 weeks before the incident and the reputable mechanic reported no issues. There was no warning except for maybe a minute before it happened- the car was vibrating like I had a flat tire. The damage repair estimate on this was $8500. Catastrophic fail Toyota. I have 2 Nuna Ravas with loose harnesses when not holding the release button. My children could have been seriously injured in the event of a crash. The harness does not stay tight, they pull right out with very little effort when they should be locked. Nuna will not replace the car seats and will not address the problem for 2-3 months. Engine subframe catastrophic failure (left side) due to severe corrosion. Lower control arm detached resulting in erratic handling and pulling. Car unsafe to drive and expensive to repair at ~$2200. Did research and found to be a very common complaint for 2010-2014. Recall needs to be issued to replace corroded subframes.

The car is only about 6 years old with approximately 26,200 miles and has been extremely well maintained with the dealer, including scheduled oil changes with full synthetic oil. I am trying to get Infiniti to cover the full engine replacement cost since the warranty expired about two months ago. However, they still want to charge me $7,560 plus tax. I have had to park in my drive, less than 20 feet from my own home and others while it could take fire even while parked. 1/2/24 I had the prescribed 'fix', a computer reset with no battery replacement warranted. My vehicle has had two battery recalls and one other incident wherein it just completely stopped working. I am no longer able to transport my grand children whose carseats sit over the defective battery. I have had to cease running parts for our self owned business. I have had to pay for a vehicle to drive including gas I would not have needed to purchase. The dealership where purchased would not keep the vehicle on its lot during the recall, they would not provide an alternate vehicle therefore I have lost valuable work and family time due to safety of the car. They also did not want to inspect the car during this time. Also winter on the street parking is not allowed in my community so again I was forced to put myself and others at risk parking near homes. I am seeking total reimbursment as I cannot safely drive. I purchased the car because I wanted to save on gas. Instead I cannot any longer us e the car for my intended purposes. I would appreciate hearing back. I have done all the required work, making the required calls to the manufacturer, receiving never a call back or any assistance there. Cam shaft and the cover were replaced as Honda admitted to poor tolerances in the manufacturing and this being a know issue. They never recalled only made the issue a service notice to dealerships. Well, about a year later and our Honda Pilot experiences the same issue. We have it towed to Honda and they say the engine is a complete loss. Needs a cam shaft again. Has a crack in the engine block. Has a fluid leak into the engine from the rods and piston area. Total loss and they want 15K to replace. We reach out to Honda of America for assistance in July of 24 and it took them over 3 months to respond and offer ZERO assistance or help. This issue is a known problem and we believe our engine is in the situation it is due to poor manufacturing and the previous issue with the poorly machined camshaft. The windshield seems to be made of poor quality. Drives city roads , and the same roads and conditions that i drive my other teo cars but tgis 2024Atlas chipped in tow times alrrady in amonth and this time had a 7-8 icnh crack with a very small chip. Same as the issue causing VW Service Action 34J7/34L9 except for manual transmission vehicles. After reading of other owners of similar and identical models like mine having frame cracks, I made a point to inspect my trailer’s I beam chassis and I discovered horizontal cracks within the I beam, one on each side, over the suspension area. Every picture I have seen looks just like mine, a rusty L shaped crack adjacent to a crossmember welded on the backside of this area. You can see the sha
... pe of this crossmember through the surface of the I beam, indicating the metal is quite thin. It took me only a couple minutes to find, as I knew exactly where to look, based on the numerous stories I’ve read about. Upon further inspection, I also found suspect welds that look burned through the frame, leaving a hole behind. This makes me question the quality of the rest of the trailer’s frame. There is also a crossmember at the front of the trailer with a distinct bend in it at the bottom, where the top remains fairly straight. This, to me, is another indication that the frame is flexing and causing this member to fold as a result. After discovering this, I later learned many other owners have the same issue, and one had a complete A frame failure in that area. Also, I have discovered that all four of my trailer’s leaf springs are flattening out, and they remain this way with all personal items removed from the unit. As it sits now, it is within a handful of pounds of the original purchase weight, and the leafs have not sprung back. We have an appointment scheduled directly with the manufacturer in Indiana to have these issues repaired, among a laundry list of less safety related issues we’ve experienced since ownership. We’ve known of these major issues since August of 2024 and have waited 6 months for our appointment for repairs. We have declined from using this trailer during this time as we don’t have confidence that it can safely be towed. I am to understand, the wait time is due to a large influx of other trailers being brought in for major repair.Read more

Audio and backup camera panel popping noise and disconnects whole panel causing it to go black , which includes the backup camera. Extreme safety issue with no backup camera .

Audible warnings for turn signals, Blind Spot monitoring and lane monitoring periodically quits along with all sound from radio and Bluetooth system. Haptic feedback on lane change seems to not function at this time as well. Warning lights function. This has occurred 7 times since Oct 22 2024 when the vehicle was purchased. MFG has been unable to repair.

... ust proof paint applied to a very small limited area, not to frame, not to cross member, not to any shock mount) Concerned about rust currently causing the shock mount to fail and the cross member rust damage along with frame rust on the passenger side. 2 different dealerships told me this concern it is not under a recall. This Toyota Tundra truck is well maintained with regular scheduled auto service checks and appointments. It is never used for towing or off road use. I am the original owner, central New Jersey use only. The truck runs and looks good. The high amount of rust under the truck should not have occurred to the level of a shock mount rusting out and a cross member rusting out and frame rust.Read more

The safety of myself and children were put at risk when my car hesitated to accelerate on multiple occurrences on busy roads and intersections. We have excessive Frame Flex. Cargo doors and entry doors open on the road spilling storage contents on road. Axle Equalizer welds breaking. Doors Binding. Vehicle is overweight from factory, over specified weight placard on sticker. This is an on-going problem with Grand Design's larger 5th wheel trailers. They are unsafe on the roads.

The rear differential is messed up on this truck, and there is grinding noise - when i turn left or right, and there,s a whinning noise while driving, and also black fluid drips from in between the oil pan, and transmission and hissing sound when turned on..
