The range extender did not turn on while I was driving the car. When the range extender failed to work the car slowed down from 70+ mph to as low as 7 mph in minutes. The car then limped along for several minutes at this dangerously slow speed until the range extender turned on. This has happened four times while I was driving on a a highway and once while I was driving on a road with heavy traffic. The first instance happened in [XXX] on my ride back from a conference. The car seemed fine for a bit until it began happening regularly in the summer of 2024*. Each time the range extender should have turned on, it failed to do so and the car came to a dramatic instant slow down posing a danger for me and the drivers nearby. The danger was once again realized when the range extender would finally turn on the car car would dramatically propel forward within a matter of seconds. I took the car to the dealership on 10/1. I intentionally ran the battery down because I wanted the mechanic to experience the problem. The shop foreman was able to experience the problem that day and he also caught it on video so he could show it to the BMW engineers. My car remains at the dealership awaiting a new battery. I am told this will fix the problem but I am concerned this will happen again. I am also equally concerned this has or will happen to others. When I got to the dealership they informed me it was ticking and they had to investigate further. During the test drive it collapsed a lifter. After they took my engine apart for a second time this was fixed I got my truck back. Over the course of the next month sitting my truck gave me headaches and made me sick. I found out that exhaust was leaking into my cab through my vents due to a 4 head gas monitoring device. I notified the dealership and made an appt. At 47434km my truck collapsed another lifter while I was on the highway with my wife and children in the vehicle and it started to violently shake with vibrations while trying to maintain or accelerate, all the warning lights in my dash went off and I lost all safety systems. I booked it back into the dealership to have it repaired and asked to have the engine replaced as I have had nothing but problems with it and was not happy with this truck or its reliability. I reached out to Chevrolet Canada at this point and asked to have my engine replaced or my truck replaced because this truck has had nothing but problems (many more outside of the engine) and they apologized and said the best they could do was offer me a hat. The Blind Spot Warning system has never issued alerts, leaving the driver unaware of vehicles in adjacent lanes. The Forward Collision Warning system has never activated, even in close proximity to other vehicles. The Lane Departure Warning fails to consistently activate, while Lane Keeping Assistance operates only intermittently, despite being designed to engage above 40 mph. Additionally, the Parking Collision Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Warning systems have never provided alerts, even when obstacles or approaching vehicles are present. Took to dealership under warranty and was told "that is just the sound that GM brakes make" and they refused warranty repair. Assured noise wouldnt worse, but continued. I have read the Ford forums about this vehicle and there are SO MANY people who have experienced the same thing and Ford refuses to do a recall to cover their mistake. Today I had an issue with my 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid SX Prestige where it would not allow me to accelerate past 31 mph. I was on an on-ramp to the highway with my baby in the car and I was flooring the gas, yet it still would not go past 31 mph. I put on my hazards and pulled off, and checked that the max speed setting was not on. I even tried setting the max speed to something higher like 50 mph

Luckily I figured out that cruise control still works past this speed limit, but it was super dangerous getting onto the highway going 25 mph slower than everyone else. They tried an fail miserably. During the final road test after rebuild had massive lifter failure. I just read about a NHTSA probe or study that's been upgraded for unexplained braking on Honda Insights. This unexplained sharp automated braking has happened at least half a dozen times in my car. There was never anything in or near the vehicle path that would explain the braking. It was always good weather (no hazard road conditions). In every instance it was a brief but sharp braking (with a

Three times it occurred within the same 1/4 mile stretch of road, which was a slight decline followed by a slight incline (at the time I was thinking that somehow the optical camera system was picking up some reflected or refracted light from the road or highway markings). But that seems unlikely, and in any case, Louisiana roads, being as horrible as they are, there's no fresh marking paint or other reflective coatings anywhere on the road. I also wondered if maybe it was caused by interference from other radar or radio signals.Read more

The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed once again that the fuel injector needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, over time the failure still persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for the last time where it was diagnosed once again that the fuel injector needed to be replaced.
