In connection to my previous filing : NHTSA tracking # 11641542, please see the below, thank you. On June 24, 2022, I checked my 2018 Audi A5 into Audi Cherry Hill’s service department to diagnose and repair an issue with the front right tire. The dealership indicated that service would take approximately two days. However, upon returning for an update, I was shocked to learn that my car had be
... en towed—without my knowledge, consent, or any lawful justification. Suspicious Connection to ECU Failure & Audi’s Potential Non-Compliance with NHTSA Audi Cherry Hill’s owner, Amanda DeMateo, attempted to justify the tow by stating that my ECU replacement two years earlier had been performed at Wynnewood Audi (Sept 2019) not Cherry Hill. This raises serious concerns about a second ECU failure, which Audi may have sought to conceal. If Audi Company failed to report an initial ECU failure to the NHTSA in 2019, a second failure would highlight this noncompliance. Audi Cherry Hill's actions appear to be linked to an attempt to obscure a recurring issue with the vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Audi Cherry Hill’s owner, Amanda DeMateo, attempted to justify the unauthorized towing by stating that my previous ECU replacement had not been conducted at her dealership, implying an effort to avoid responsibility. This raises suspicion that my tire malfunction was a consequence of another ECU failure, possibly affecting the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) through an electrical malfunction. Given these violations and Audi Cherry Hill’s failure to act in accordance with consumer protection laws, I request a thorough investigation and appropriate enforcement action. I urge you, please to investigate Audi’s failure to report ECU failures to the NHTSA and whether my issue was part of a larger defect pattern. Thank youRead more

Prior to driving back to our home from Minneapolis on [XXX] (1.5 hours), we check

We made it back home, took car to our local mechanic on 7 October, and thought it would be better to check dealership in Eau Claire, WI (another 30 minute drive). We drove there, slowly, on 18 October, and were told that it was probably the MDPS/Flexible Coupling, but that it would cost us 175 to check, and another 250-300 to replace the 15.00 part. We drove home and had a family emergency out of state and will return now to Wisconsin soon and want to get this fixed as soon as possible. We understand NOW that this is a persistent problem for MANY KIA 2013 Soul and other KIAs and that NHTSA has been supportive to some owners over this matter. We do not object to paying for the repair, but not at price-gouging levels. From what we understand, the inspection needed to check for the flex coupling is not difficult nor time consuming. We are afraid to drive the car for safety sake, but we need the car to drive! Do we have any rights to a free inspection if this is a problem with many KIAs? There were no warning lights and no symptoms prior to the sudden noise and now there is a persistent and regular clunk when the steering wheel is moved. Thank you for any information regarding this issue. Again, no accident and no injuries or results from clunk, but KIA history seems to suggest a potential recall need. In Dec 2024, I began to hear a noise under the car. I dropped off the car for the recall and to see if they could figure out the issue. Recall was completed and no issue found after blowing out the dust shield around the brakes. 1 week later, the problem came back sounding a little different. We found a plug in the aluminum pan under the car. After removing it, the original noise returned (may not
... have been noticeable because the other sound was louder). I took it back to the dealership. They could not find anything specific, but tightened up something in the front end suspension. The noise came back 30 miles later. So I took it to a different dealership last week. They found that the splash cover was missing a screw. So that must be it right? No 5 minutes after I left, the sound returned. Tuesday 2/4 I took the car back. After a longer inspection, they determined that the sway bar links were bad on both sides. So they replaced them. The car ran okay for the 1st day or so. I heard a couple squeaks but I just figured it had something to do with the replacement parts. As of today, the noise has returned as it was before. I will update, but this seems to be suspension related/faulty suspension parts.Read more

>>>>What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? According to the Hyundai Bluelink app, the problem is caused by the battery management system, producing error code P0AA600. The result is that the vehicle does not get power to the wheels for a few seconds after giving it gas. It looks like the car is not moving, then it very slowly gains speed
... , followed by sudden acceleration. It is available for inspection upon request. >>>>How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? It is a safety issue because other vehicles on the road may not be able to stop in time when the car pauses unexpectedly. Also the driver cannot predict when the car will surge forward. Merging or crossing traffic is very dangerous. >>>>Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The vehicle has been to the dealership two times to be inspected for this problem. They state that they cannot duplicate the issue but of course they can see the error code in the vehicle history. It is an issue that occurs at random; not every time the car is driven. It has occurred a total of 9 times during the 2,872 miles we have driven since we purchased it. >>>>Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Only the dealer has inspected the vehicle. Police, insurance, or others have not been involved. >>>>Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There is no warning that the error is going to occur. There is a warning when it is occurring, and the check engine light comes on. We purchased the car as new when it had 6,934 miles on it. It had been used as a demonstration car for the dealership. The error first occurred at about 7500 miles.Read more

1) All the sensors on the truck relating to the auto emergency breaking, pass sensors, cruise control ETC are malfunctioning, truck was at 10,000 miles at the time and brand new. 2) This feature contributed to an accident on Jan 14 2025. I could not see because of the sun and rear ended the car in front of me. 3)The DTC report on the truck came back and stated 6 errors relating to the systems and

GM is inspecting the truck Feb 13. 5) There were warning indicators however I though it had to do with ice blockage from a snow storm. That morning I cleaned all the cameras off and did not immediately notice it and assumed it went away. It seems the the warning does not immediately come on takes approximately 1-2 minutes. There is no differentiating a software-servicing issue with a camera blockage.Read more

I got my truck back on 4/19/2024, and was told I would NOT be given any additional warranty or guarantee for the engine and labor associated with the replacement. I asked if there was any additional warranty that would be given, and they said no. I have a high mile commute, and in this instance, my Power Train warranty was up just a few months after the replacement. My service advisor said if I had paid out of pocket, they would offer a 100,000 mile warranty. But since it was a warranty replacement, that I would only have the balance of whatever remained on my powertrain warranty. My concern is that this may happen again. I want to report my issue to be sure that every replacement is fully investigated and GM is held accountable. The Power Distribution Module failed in my 2018 Nissan Leaf at 77k miles. It left me stranded with no way of getting home. The Power Distribution Module is supposed to last 10 years 100k miles but Nissan warranty only has is warranted to 60k miles. On top of the PDM there are other codes that the vehicle has that relate to the master brake cylinder but the dealership said they won’t know if there are more issues until I pay the 5 k to fix the PDM then they can assess if I have to pay another 5k to fix the other part. However, both Wide World BMW and I categorically refute this assertion. All maintenance on my vehicle has been exclusively performed by authorized BMW service centers, and there is no evidence to suggest that any third-party work was done. The damage being attributed to third-party work is, in reality, a direct result of the fire caused by the brake system malfunction. Wide World BMW has reviewed the case and agrees that BMW North America should assume responsibility for addressing this issue. June 2023 - 12 volt battery discharged overnight on consecutive nights. Dealer service eventually claimed that the problem was the navigation head unit was faulty and continued to draw current after the vehicle was turned off. The process took over 4 weeks to remedy since the necessary part was unavailable. January 2025 - While driving, a warning to stop the vehicle and check the power system app
... eared. After a few minutes the vehicle lost power and went into "limp home mode" which limits the vehicle to 25 mph. This problem was attributed to a failed ICCU. However, due to lack of availability the vehicle has been in the service department of the dealer for 3 weeks (Jan 17,2025 to Feb 4, 2025). The dealer estimates that it will be at least Feb 14, 2025 before the car can be repaired. While these two incidents may be unrelated, the result has been the same: the 12 volt battery does not stay charged up rendering the vehicle unusable. For drivers and passengers it is unsafe to operate the vehicle when speed is limited to 25 mph. I understand there is a recall on this part, but Hyundai's lack of support for providing replacement parts in a timely manner is causing owners of these vehicles to continue to drive them until the part actually fails which often happens at an inopportune time.Read more
