As I was driving back home from the airport on [XXX] both front brakes started smoking and my vehicle became noticeably difficult to drive. At the same time an ABS brake warning light came on as well. Although the vehicle was more difficult to drive I drove slower to prevent a crash & arrive home. On [XXX] I brought my vehicle into Midas Sarasota where they diagnosed a failed brake hydraulic contr
... ol unit (HCU,ABS pump). In addition Midas stated that the failed hydraulic control unit damaged both front calipers causing them to stick which is why my brakes were smoking. Midas also stated that the failed HCU caused damage to the mesh in my brake lines and that they had to be replaced. As a result of the failed HCU Midas had to install a new HCU, install new front calipers on both sides, and install new brake lines for a total cost of $1600.00 A few weeks after I had my vehicle repaired for this issue I received a recall letter from Stellantis for this issue. Since I had already had the repair completed I submitted a copy of my repair order and proof of payment to www.fcarecallreimbursement.com, Reference number [XXX]. A customer service agent - Ronald emailed me several times and reviewed by reimbursement request and stated that my claim was approved for $1342 for reimbursement. I questioned Ronald about why Stellantis would not pay for the full amount of $1600 because both front calipers and my brake lines were damaged as a result of the failed HCU unit. Ronald simply stated in his email that he could only approve repair charged for the failed HCU. I explained to Ronald that the HCU failure caused irreparable damage to both front calipers and to the mesh in my brake lines as shown on page 2 of the Midas Repair order that I sent him. I explained to Ron that if Stellantis has a part recall that causes damage to other vehicle components then Stellantis is responsible for the costs of all repairs, NOT just the recalled part. I was driving to church on the morning of 2/16/25 when I heard a very loud “Boom.” I thought something had hit the car. It sounded like a gun going off. Both mirrors were in the “off” position. Nothing hit the outside

Partial updates are expected, and another 48 hrs may be required to complete. Complete updates (correct sounds and all), per owner surveys, have been under 30%. One set of numbers shared with FOA, and then shared with owners, was that only ~10% of the fleet (~300) was updated after 5 weeks of attempts and over 800 VINs submitted for attempt. There are only ~20 US service people available for the entire country, and only ~5 travel nationwide to fix our vehicles when a car is undrivable. What component malfunctioned: The driver's side visor has malfunctioned and is extremely difficult to raise and lower. It is available for inspection as it is still installed in the car. Safety Risk: T
... he malfunctioning visor is a safety risk to both the driver, the car's other occupants and other drivers as it requires both of the driver's hands to raise or lower it which means the driver must temporarily take their hands from the steering wheel while driving to operate the visor. Removing ones hands from the steering wheel can cause the car to be temporarily undirected by the driver which can result in accidents. The malfunctioning visor also creates a visibility hazard. As the visor is too difficult to raise and lower, the driver can be blinded by the sun glare that the visor would normally block. such a visibility issue can lead to accidents, especially if there is oncoming traffic. Inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others:? The dealership (Ziegler Honda, Kalamazoo Michigan) was asked to look at the visor to determine why it wasn't working correctly. They informed me that this was a common issue with this model of Honda and that the only option to fix it is total replacement at a cost of $300. This would not be covered by insurance and there is currently no recall in place to address the defect. Warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The visor started to not function smoothing in Summer of 2024 and the problem has consistently progressed to the point that the visor is now extremely difficult to raise and lower and requires to hands to move. I can provide a video of the visor's operation showing how difficult it is to move.Read more

My husband and I purchased a 2015 Honda Civic 3 years ago. We have maintained proper maintenance and have the documentation on this. At 118,000 ish miles, my [XXX] son was merging onto the interstate at night just a day or so after a snowstorm. As he was merging the car unexpectedly began to lose power. He tried to compensate by pushing the gas harder but realized her needed to pull over. The
... merge lane had construction cones and there was a bank of snow on the shoulder prohibiting him from getting over safely. He contacted the police he came out and he contacted a tow truck. He had to sit at the end of a merge lane for 45 minutes before a police officer could get there. We are fortunate he was not plowed by a semi or other vehicle. The car was towed to Richmond Car & Truck Center. After inspection, it was determined a new motor was needed. We paid to have that replaced only to be told after that it was still not operable. The transmission was out. The likely-hood of a motor and transmission going out was practically unheard of. The mechanic was even at a loss. I researched and found my son's make/model did have a recall on the transmission although, his was not part of that. We are thankful he is safe but I have never heard of a Honda losing a transmission/engine at 118,000 miles. We believe this is a transmission flaw. No warning light was ever illuminated and no issues of a problem ever existed until this incident. We have documentation. This has been reported to Honda but I have not received a response. I fear this may happen to someone else. What options do we have? INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I have had to turn the wheel with more effort when changing lanes on the highway causing overcorrection and the brake also slipped when I was braking before turning to get onto a major street. I ha
... ve taken it to Firestone to get the brakes checked and for routine oil maintenance and a leak in the windshield reservoir. After the oil change, a Firestone service tech recommended maintenance and repairs including an alignment, new brake pads and rotors, so I took it back to Enterprise, the car dealership where I bought this vehicle on December 5, 2024. Enterprise reluctantly took it back to their service department and checked the vehicle's steering and brakes, denying there was anything wrong with either. The manager at Enterprise stated that the sound I was hearing was normal wear and tear on the vehicle but I am still hearing the clicking and squeaking sound and when I turn the wheel it still feels sticky. There have been no warning lights flashing on the dash, but again, the wheel continuously feels sticky, and I have to overcorrect my turns. There is also a clicking and squeaking sound when I turn the wheel.Read more

Resubmitting from 2/3/2025 as the first form was not received. Attn: [XXX] I am the original owner of this unit and there is approximately only 1,500 miles on my trailer. This Grand Design is a swap from the original 2019 Grand Design that I already had. When I am able to camp, when my trailer is not in the shop, we only camp about an hour away from home as I don't feel safe. We have been experi
... encing frame issues. There is excessive pin box movement (this is the OEM), cargo, main doors, as well as the kitchen slide out coming out during transport, separation of roof and nose cap (and other roof issues), axels have been replaced, multiple replacements of suspension components, wrinkling in my walls, saw dust and metals shavings found throughout the unit. l I have been in contact with Grand Design many times, but not much help. I have the feeling they are trying to delay any kind of repairs for their manufacture defects. These have been an ongoing issue since the day I brought this trailer home. I was driving on the highway and suddenly my 2018 Honda HRV had a power failure, with the dash flashing and loss of acceleration. Luckily, I was able to coast off the highway with hazards on. After numerous power cycles, I was able to get the car into limp mode but could not go over 30mph. I took it to the dealer and was diagnosed to be the known Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) issue. M
... y car is in great condition, with only 97k miles. I was at the dealership only a week before for the fuel injector recall, and this transmission issue was not mentioned. According to Service Bulletin 21-0467, the extended warranty to cover the CVT defect covers 7 years and 150k miles -- unfortunately, my car was is an 7 years and 1 month old according to the "delivery date" in Honda's system. I am still trying to verify this claim. I was denied all warranty and goodwill from Honda and quoted over $10,000 for the repair. I called the corporate contact (America Honda Motor Co.) to no avail. Both the dealer and corporate offices deny any liability for a known defect, after having brought the car to their service center just days before the warranty allegedly ended.Read more
