I received a recall notice on my F150 and took it to the dealership for repair even though I have not had any check engine lights or codes on my vehicle. 20 days After taking my vehicle to the ford dealership for the 24S37 recall on the OSS while driving on a two lane back road my truck experienced a hard downshift immediately followed by a check engine light. I lost all acceleration and had to co
... ast to a safe place to pull over. I connected a code reader to the vehicle and immediately got a P0721 code for output speed sensor. I had the truck towed to the dealership and was told they drove it and could not get it to repeat the issue. The dealership only drove 2.9 miles while the had the vehicle for 5 days. I picked up the truck and drove 122 miles before the truck repeated the same issue only this time I was on the highway and luckily was able to exit the highway safely. I connected a code reader to the truck again and received a code for P0720 for the output speed sensor. The software update for this recall that FORD has pushed out as a repair has done nothing but cause even more substantial problems and safety concerns. I have reached out to Ford (at a manufacturer level) and have received absolutely no assistance from them.Read more

While driving on a highway at approximately 5:00 p.m., a loud explosion occurred. My husband said it sounded like we were shot. Once we pulled over, we discovered the panoramic sunroof had exploded. We immediately pulled off on the nearest exit and drove the car right back to the dealer. While my husband drove the car, I researched sunroof explosions and found several complaints of other Kia c
... ars with panoramic sunroofs that had exploded. Upon arrival at the dealership, the service department was closed, but we were able to bring the car inside the garage since it was raining. There was no impact to the sunroof and no bridge where something could have fallen from it. The broken glass looked like it had exploded outward like a volcano. Shattered pieces of glass were scattered on top of the cloth covering but most pieces must have flown off the roof during driving. A saleswoman made a ridiculous claim that the explosion could have been caused by hail. It was 55 degrees out. Another salesman made a comment that it could have been some kind of combustion or that something fell on top of the sunroof (like a meteorite fell from the sky while driving?). Now, the following morning, Kia (a man named Walt) is claiming something hit the sunroof, "pictures don't lie", and they will not do any work on the car until my insurance company is contacted and an appraiser comes to look at the damage. We also took pictures and do not see that an impact occurred. No other cars on the highway at the time the sunroof exploded were impacted with their driving or even pulled off the road, so I cannot imagine Kia's claim that "something hit the sunroof." No other cars were impacted.Read more

When I applying breaks when coming to stop, hears abnormal humming noise. Sound appears to be coming from driver front seat by breaks. Every time I apply the brakes, I hear the motor actuating, and I'm so anxious and worried that the brakes might not work. The brake is a life-threatening device, so I'm very anxious. ... d maybe an hour since I went to class, then came back to start it. Issue was still there. I took it to the dealership who seemed more interested in buying it than repairing it, they said it could be a number of things and estimated 10k even though they couldn’t tell me exactly what was wrong. They knew, they just wouldn’t say. Anywho, $100 later for a wacky diagnosis, I left to take the truck to an actual mechanic, who stated the lifters failed which caused a bent rod, which then damaged the cam shaft. We had just bought the truck outright for 27k three months prior and only driven it 1,500 miles. It was estimated to be anywhere between 12-15k to fix. Which we didn’t have that money and personal loans are too high so we traded it in and took a loss of 17k while being thankful that no one was injured driving this thing. The truck didn’t even have 80,000 miles yet. It was at 75,000 or 76,000. Truck engines shouldn’t fail that soon or fail at all and this is a common safety issue with this truck. If you have time, google the main issues for this truck and you’ll see several posts about people complaining about their truck doing the same and having to do a computer deletion to get the engine to function correctly to prevent this issue.Read more

Back in 2017 there was a recall on my 2016 Audi Q5 regarding the fuel pump. Audi's solution to this recall was to replace the fuel pump if it had any cracks, but if there weren't any cracks their protocal was to just put a protective shield on the fuel pump. Since my car was only a year old, all that Audi did was the protective shield. A few weeks ago, my car started smelling like leaking fuel. Af
... ter a couple days I took it to Audi since there had been a recall. My car has less than 63,000 miles on it and according to service persons that have looked at my car, it is in excellent condition. However, Audi service told me that because the protocol for the recall was performed on my car back in 2017, there was nothing they could do except replace my fuel pump and charge me for the work done. The noxious fumes were so bad that I could not drive my car without having all the windows down. I found out that when the intake fuel pump goes bad, so does the high pressure fuel pump and both have to be replaced along with the pressuer sensor. This cost me $2,700. After getting my car back and driving it less than 25 miles, I was stranded on the road and had to have my car towed back to the shop with a broken steering rack and a dead battery. Come to find out, the steering rack is another issue going on with Audi vehicles. These are very serious and life threatening situations, especially with noxious fumes from gasoline which is highly flammable. Audi needs to reimburse me the $2,700 for the fuel pump replacement cost that I would not have incurred if my fuel pump had actually been replaced in 2017, instead of a band-aid being put on it, which was negligence on Audi's part. By not replacing the fuel pump, I ended up with a gas leak in my car, my car dangerously breaking down in the middle of the road and having to be towed and ultimately a very costly repair for me of which Audi doesn't want to own any responsibility in.Read more

I am writing to formally express my frustration and deep concern regarding Recall 94B, which affects my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude and currently has no available remedy. This recall, as confirmed by Fox Chrysler Jeep in Southfield, MI, directly impacts critical safety features, including the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and other key functions essential for the safe operation of my vehicle.
... Given the severity of this issue—especially during Michigan’s harsh winter months—I find it unacceptable that no resolution is currently available. Fox Chrysler Jeep has verified that all warning lights on my dashboard are related to this recall, yet they have informed me there is nothing they can do at this time. As a loyal Jeep owner, I am extremely disappointed that Stellantis has not yet provided a solution to an issue that directly compromises my safety and that of others on the road. Given the circumstances, I am requesting immediate assistance from Stellantis to explore options for getting out of my current vehicle and into a new or used vehicle that is not subject to such serious, unresolved recalls. I cannot continue to drive a vehicle that poses such a significant safety risk, and I believe Stellantis has a responsibility to provide a viable alternative for affected customers.Read more

I took my vehicle in for an unrelated issue, a wheel speed sensor that was throwing codes. When I brought it in they advised me about a serious engine oil leak. This issue is too fold. . As far as I'm concerned this should have been a recall due to its seriousness. The housing for the oil filter is made of plastic mounted on the engine block. I live in Buffalo New York, where we were experiencing
... Sub-Zero to zero temperatures it is not unlike putting a hot glass in cold water it cracks, also if it is tightened too much it can also crack, which shortly before this incident I did have it in for an oil change and tire rotation, suggestion would be to perhaps make the part out of aluminum. This could have caused a serious issue with oil splashing back on the rear tires causing a spin out, possible accident, possible injury or worse. Mopar has known about this as far as I can tell from my research as far back as 2013 on the 3.2 and 3.6 Pentastar in their Jeep products in fact there was a 2012 Jeep in for service with the same problem. Apparently this has continued on the same engine in Ram also. I was told by the service people at Joe Cecconi Chrysler in Niagara Falls New York that it was nothing that I did wrong. I certainly believe that since they knew about this for such a long time that they should reimburse at least in part, if not in total of that related service up to including other parts related to this issue and the oil. I am reporting a safety incident that occurred on [XXX] with my new GM vehicle, a 2025 Chevy Trax with roughly 3000 odometer miles. I was returning to Troy MI from Ann Arbor MI on [XXX] a roughly 50 mile drive, a driver with one passenger. The weather was good, no ice or debris on the roads. We exited the highway and proceeded north through several stoplights. Just before making a right turn into
... a destination, the vehicle seemed to slam to stop multiple times, causing loss of vehicle control. The abrupt behavior knocked the steering wheel out of driver hands and lurched us forward against the seatbelts. I parked and powered down, giving it a chance to reset. Then continuing to drive a short distance, the vehicle repeatedly abruptly halted at speeds over 30mph as if hitting a wall. There were no warning lights or alerts displayed on the instrument panel, and the vehicle had never behaved abnormally in any way prior to this incident. On Monday morning [XXX] the dealership immediately verified the condition, though offering no speculation to the cause. The service manager reported that upon test drive, the service tech said "he would have gone through the windshield if not belted in.” My passenger and I have between the two of us [XXX] years of experience working in automotive, for GM and suppliers, in production capacities, and for years driving dozens of leased vehicles and GM company cars. Neither of us have ever experienced a vehicle doing anything as dangerous as this brand new Trax did. Had the failure occurred during the highway portion of our drive that day - multiple congested highways [XXX] - we are certain we could have been killed and would have been a lethal danger to the drivers around us. An abrupt halt at high speed would have caused the car to roll and/or spin out of control. At the time of this report, the car is with the dealership with no root cause or repair estimation. We believe this is a transmission issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C.Read more
