I currently own a 2018 Honda Accord 1.5L 4 cylinder with only 62,800 miles at the start of the issue. Around the end of July 2025 the car started to jerk. It started with a slight jerk and escalated daily, over about a week, until the car started going into limp mode. The car was taken to a repair shop near my house. This shop said they were receiving an engine misfire code, replaced all spark plu
... gs, and car driving good again. Around 8/15/2025, I started having the same issues. On 8/19/25 the car went into limp mode again in a busy highway. Took it to a Honda/Acura repair shop. They again found the same misfire codes, replaced 1 spark plug, and the car was driving okay. This Honda/Acura shop found low coolant in the engine and believed I had a leaking head gasket as they have been seeing a high number of Honda 1.5L engines, similar years, with this issue. The shop suggested I contact Honda as it is a known issue. On 8/19, the Honda dealer service department told me they are seeing a lot of that issue but Honda has no current plan to extend warranties or issue a recall, despite the widespread, known issue. The dealership’s service department instructed me to call Honda corporate to discuss the issue and potential coverage. Corporate did open a case for a potential Good Faith repair. I was told that I would have to take it to a Honda dealership for official diagnostics, pay that fee out of pocket, then submit documents and info for coverage review. The car was driving okay for about 1 week and on 8/27/25, began having the same problems. I was able to get an appointment on 9/2/25 at the dealership. On 9/2/25, the dealership confirmed the head gasket is bad and the car requires head gasket, head bolt, belts, fuel injector, and coolant replacement, and oil change. The dealership again acknowledged this is a known issue with the vehicle. These vehicles are stopping on busy highways (with speed limit of 50mph) and interstates or going into limp mode, not going over 20mph.Read more

I drive a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. This occurrence has happened on three separate occasions and each time it was raining outside. The first occurrence, my vehicle was running and parked in the rain after driving approximately 5 miles. I slowly drove back to the parking lot and turned the vehicle off to let it sit, disconnected the battery and reconnected, and the issues went away. The third occurrence, I was driving on the highway in the rain for approximately 10 miles, I went to merge into a right hand lane, I took my foot off the acceleration peddle to slow down for the merge and as I slightly turned the wheel to the right, my vehicle spun out three times, throwing the back end of the Tahoe into the inner highway wall, which spun me again to face the right direction, next to a highway exit. I then went to accelerate to exit the highway but noticed my vehicle would only coast and realized my engine had cut out at some point. I started the vehicle and exited the highway and parked in a parking lot only feet away from the exit. After I parked I noticed all the same warning lights came back on. Each occurrence happened on [XXX], [XXX], [XXX]. My vehicle was towed to Gunn GMC Collision Center in Selma, Tx and will be looked at on September 3, 2025 around 8:00am. The potential for fire is also a major concern. An independent service center has confirmed the water pump and its electrical connector as the point of failure. The failed component is available for inspection by a NHTSA investigator. I contacted BMW's customer relations line and was informed that no remedy is currently available. I must wait for an official letter before any action can be taken, including reimbursement. The representative did not provide a case number, making it impossible to track my complaint. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, law enforcement, or an insurance representative. I am unable to transfer the title because the car cannot pass a safety inspection in its current state. I am in a severe catch-22: I must receive a recall letter for a vehicle that I am unable to finalize ownership of. The BMW dealer charged us the customer for a software update to fix this issue. We are not confident that the vehicle is fixed because this is a random event. They basically told us they did not believe my wife's account of the incident. I recently saw that this make and model of car was recalled about a year ago because the car could stall in the rain due to unsealed battery compartments, which is exactly what my wife experienced. I do not believe anyone looked inside the car at all, but merely relied on their computer analyses without interviewing my wife or any witnesses to confirm what happened.Read more

Rear shocks leaking and fail inspection. This was confirmed by both the dealer and independent service center. There were no warnings. This is the second time the same shocks have needed to be replaced. The first time they lasted 3 years, the second time two years. This is an endemic problem with these shocks affecting both the original and OEM replacement parts.

During my visit, the service team was unable to replicate the issue and stated they could not confirm a problem. They advised me to continue driving the vehicle and suggested that if a defect exists, it would likely worsen over time and become easier to diagnose. Four Nokian Ones 245/50R20 102V were purchased online from Priority Tires and shipped to Mr. Tire Hammonton NJ on [XXX]. All four tires are separating along the tread block edge on both sides. The tires are being held at Mr. Tire in Hammonton for inspection. ... separation along the outer edges of all four tires. The separation is cracking into the tread block and continuously around the entire circumference of each tire. A blow out is the safety concern and they recommended complete replacement of each tire. My safety and my drivers safety are at stake. I am a [XXX]. This vehicle is my only vehicle to get to my Cardiologist at DeBorah Heart and Lung as well Cardiologist at Jefferson University Hospital as well as the VA in Philadelphia. My concern is driven by Michelin Tires blowing out and recall a few years back. Mr. Tire documents every visit including oil changes, tire installation, tire rotation, 4-wheel rebalancing, 4-wheel alignment. There is, on file, their recommendations and full-service records. The severe vibration began after @30,000 miles and was unsolved due to the defective nature of the tread on all four tires. Several alignments, 4-wheel rebalancing and tire rotation have not resolved and increasing vibration for the past 18 months. Priority tires only looked at pictures denying all requests for in-person inspection. I have also requested Nokian Tyres send a representative for inspection - all denied by Priority Tires. Priority tires supposedly sent the defective warranty claim to Nokian Tyres with a response of "Road Hazzard" was the cause.
