2023 BMWiX with sudden acceleration issue upon parking. Vehicle has been subject to recall for unintended activation of cruise control upon parking and a software update was supposedly issued by BMW and yet this occurred to me today causing front end collision and lots of damage to my car. This vehicle has experienced repeated and dangerous mechanical failures that raise significant safety concerns. •March 2024: The oil pump failed, resulting in immediate engine issues. Repairs were completed under warranty, but the check engine light remained on afterward. •April 2024: The vehicle broke down again. At that time, the cams and lifters were replaced in addition to other service, but the underlying issues were not resolved. •August 2025: The vehicle failed once again. After taking it in, the service department could not determine the cause. When they believed they had identified the issue and took it for a test drive, the vehicle broke down again and had to be towed back to the shop. At that point, I was informed that the vehicle now requires a complete motor replacement and a new fuel pump. Each of these failures has left me stranded and placed me and my family in unsafe situations on the road. Despite contacting the dealership (Joseph Cadillac of Dublin), General Motors, and the warranty company, none have taken responsibility to properly resolve the issues. I believe this represents a potential defect in the engine or related systems that could impact many other consumers. My 2016 Subaru Outback has the same issue and was manufactured in April 2016. The recall should include all 2016 Subaru Outbacks, not just those manufactured in 2015.

I’ve seen others report on the same issues and hopefully this brings something up for a recall. At first it was a misfire in the engine, and oil getting into the spark plugs. Then coolant leaking. Then overheating. I looked into the codes and took it into the shop and it’s going to cost me 8-12,000 to fix due to the same issue that other people all seem to be having.

There is a barrier to the left lane and I could not get my car out of the road. People were flying around, honking and yelling. After traffic cleared I was able to restart the vehicle. Called my service manager. 10 restarts cleared it and scheduled to bring it to Knoxville the next day. Obd reading indicated fuel starvation and delivery issues. The next day the dealership could not find an issue with the car. I took it home and drove it 2 more weeks without any issues until unfortunately, traveling about 70mph on the highway the lights came on again, same issue and lost power nearly causing an accident. Called the service manager. 10 restarts to clear it and drove it to the dealership about 100 miles away the next day using back roads to avoid the freeway. About 40 miles from the service center, it died while traveling about 30mph but thankfully, there were no other vehicles near me at that time and I was unfortunately prepared for the possibility. Once at the service center, it was determined that the fuel pump needed to be replaced and I paid significant money to have this part ordered and installed. I was without my car for about a week however this dealership does provide a loaner. I had the car back since mid August without any further issue - until last week, on start giving me the same dash warning lights, unable to swap from "N" mode. The contact advised her children to run because the fire had extended to the propane tank, and the RV was about to explode. The contact and her children ran as far away as they could, and the contact heard explosions coming from the RV. The contact stated that the entire RV caught on fire. The fire extended and burned the contact's cargo residence that was located 20 ft. away. The fire burned and killed the contact's cats. The contact's convertible vehicle, boat, two four-wheeler UTVs, the truck of contact's son's truck, and a golf cart either melted or sustained heat damage due to the fire. The contact stated that storages located 40 ft. away from the RV and containing furniture, appliances, and clothes were damaged. The fire was extinguished by the fire department, and a fire department report was filed. It was unknown whether a police report was filed. There was no physical injury sustained, but the contact and her children sustained mental and emotional trauma. The RV was a total loss and remained at the scene. Both left and right exhaust manifolds have broken studs that have resulted in exhaust leaks from both manifolds. The broken studs can be seen via a visual inspection. Exhaust leaks can be heard at engine start and during higher load operations. Described by BMW as a "malfunctioning passenger restraint system", the sensor detecting weight in the seats is faulty without any external factors. The safety of both minors and adults is placed at risk when a system like this malfunctions, either keeping the airbag on or off. The automatically-adjusting seatbelt is also affected by this. While my daughter has been driving our 2013 Chevrolet Malibu 2013, the vehicle continues to experience add loss of electric power. The dashboard display and infortainment system went down black. ... confirmed that cause is a manufacturer's defect in the fuse box located near the battery. He stated this is a widespread issue and refused to repair it, advising Chevrolet should address it. Chevrolet Waldorf kept my car for over a month but only replaced the battery, could find the issue, which did not resolve the defect. This recurring failure creates a serious safety risk to the driver, passenger, and others on the road because the car can lose power and steering at anytime. This issue was he subject of prior NHTSA complaint I submitted in 2020 (ID 11315997), and it has continued despite the report. Everytime this defect occurs with Chevrolet Malibu 2013... my family's safety, and the safety of others on the road is placed in jeopardy. GM must be held accountable to correct this ongoing safety defect beforer more lives are placed at risk, and NHTSA's response wil demonstrate where consumer safety is being prioritized or neglected. Transmission-Has always shuddered and hesitates when shifting. Problem seems to get worse. Dealer had no answer except try flushing transmission. I read this is an inherent problem.
