The airbag system failed to deploy during a collision. The vehicle is currently in not my possession. The airbag control module, sensors, and airbags themselves can be inspected to determine the cause of non-deployment. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My safety was put at significant risk because the airbags did not deploy during the impact. This increased the potentia
... l for serious injury to the driver and passengers during the crash, as the airbags are a critical part of the vehicle’s safety system designed to prevent head and chest injuries. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not yet. The vehicle has not been inspected by my insurance and considered totaled. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? A police report was filed for the accident, and my insurance company has been notified. The vehicle has been inspected by insurance, but both parties have been informed of the issue and an inspection has been taken place 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lights or airbag system messages appeared prior to the crash. The airbag light on the dashboard was functioning normally before the accident, and there were no indications of a malfunction with the safety restraint system.Read more

I am writing to formally request a review of my vehicle’s eligibility for Recall N212332040. I own a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe, which is currently not listed under the affected vehicles for this recall. However, based on the recall description and the symptoms outlined, I believe my vehicle experienced related issues and should be considered for inclusion. While driving down the highway my vehicle ex
... perienced power failure leading to a full stop in the middle of the highway, resulting in a 9-1-1 call due to safety concerns for myself and oncoming traffic. The car was later diagnosed with the fuel pump module failure that other vehicles within the same year & model experienced, which were included in the recall. Why mine wouldn’t be included is quite confusing. I respectfully ask that your team investigate whether my Tahoe meets the criteria for Recall N212332040. On 10/20 I sent in a request to the GMC recall department & on 11/11 I was denied anything further. I appreciate your attention to this matter and your commitment to vehicle safety.Read more

I was riding on a suburban street and ran over a branch I did not see due to rain and darkness. I went back and looked at the incident and the branch did not seem like it was that big but I quickly lost power and my car stalled and I could not get it restarted. I later found out that that branch took out my hybrid battery connection under the car which rendered the car useless. It is a 5000 fix.
... I don't know why such an important part is exposed under the undercarriage of an AWD SUV. I was traveling at 27 MPH. If I had been on a highway it would have been very dangerous to have stalled out so fast. Once it was stalled the battery drained very fast from me running my hazards so that the tow truck driver had to jump it to get it to go from neutral to park and my parking brake is electric so I couldn't activate the parking brake either. I would also like to say that the headlights on this car are severely underpowered.Read more

On October 21st I had a recall performed at Evansville D- Patrick for a 37M2 shift lever micro switch. Today Nov 5th I was leaving work, pulling out of the drive onto highway and once I got on the road the car lost motion and just rolled. Barely made it across the highway. I got across the street into another lot. Turned car off and back on. You can hear the throttle but tires would not move. It
... would not go into any gear. It wouldn’t even go into park. It would roll no matter what the gear shifter was in. The work they did was in the gear shifter. So whatever work they performed was not done right. The sensor was bad they installed possibly or they didn’t connect the linkage or cables of some sort back I’m thinking. To have that recall done then have an issue with it that has to do with going into park is very odd. Especially to have an issue like that after having the appointment so close. I plan to have it towed to dealership but they are already trying to say it’s not something they did. Everything I’ve looked at with the recall correlates with the gear shifter which is what I had issues with today. The car can not move and I barely made it across the road before a semi came. They should definitely be held accountable for covering the cost of repairs or fixing the recall correctly.Read more

I had just merged onto the highway and was in the left lane that was ending ahead. As soon as I switched lanes traffic came to a stop. I slammed on the brakes and the truck came to a complete stop before impact. Then with my foot still on the brake pedal the truck lurched forward making impact with the vehicle in front of me. I believe that the defective brake HCU failure caused the ABS system to
... fail ultimately resulting in the accident. The only damage was to the front bumper. No airbags deployed and the accident was not reported. I would like Ram to replace my bumper since I have been driving with this problem for over a year and still no fix to the problem. My vehicle had a faulty PCV valve that was under "Stop Drive," order. I received no correspondence from the NHTSA nor from BMW of North America in regards to this. My BMW X-5 had significant issues that are directly associated with this issue. After contacting BMW of North America directly because I could not reach anyone at my nearest BMW Service Department, it was escalated twice to attempt to
... arrange for my vehicle that I unknowingly continued to drive. My vehicle has sat undriven since May of 2024. It was finally picked up, towed to the dealership for repairs related to the PCV recall. The PCV valve was replaced and my vehicle was returned to me in undriveable condition. None of the rough idle, burning smell or engine issues were attended to. They simply replaced the valve without further investigation into the damage done by continued driving of a "Stop Drive," order. BMW of North America is placing blame solely on the NHTSA for not sending me correspondence relative to this recall. My vehicle was identified as having the faulty Takata airbags and I received all of the documents sent by both the NHTSA and BMW USA. I now have a undriveable, unsafe vehicle due to the servicer simply replacing a recalled object but not the damage caused by continuing to drive a vehicle that should have had immediate service. My Honda vehicle experienced a blown head gasket at approximately 123,000 miles, despite being properly maintained according to the manufacturer’s service schedule. This is a known and recurring issue in this engine type, which has been the subject of numerous consumer complaints and a pending class action lawsuit alleging a design defect that causes premature head gasket failure. The engine fai
... led without warning signs such as overheating or coolant loss prior to the incident. I contacted Honda’s customer service and the Goodwill Program, but they declined to assist, stating the vehicle was out of warranty. A head gasket should not fail at this mileage, and this appears to be a widespread safety and reliability issue that may affect other vehicles with the same engine design. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this pattern of premature head gasket failure in Honda vehicles and take appropriate action to hold Honda accountable for the defect and ensure consumer safety.Read more

I purchased this vehicle in December of 2024 at 37 miles on the car. The car shut down three times on me due to electrical issue, but the dealership said it was the battery and the electric, i have invoices for all of the visits. i didnt feel safe driving the vehicle so i let the car sit and rented through Turo. Recently in October, there was a loud squeek sound and vibration coming from my brake,
... it was so loud, and i can feel the vibration. I didnt want to drive my car. Took my car to the Folsom CDJR dealership to get service. Car was returned to me, squeeking noise went away, but now im hearing squeeling sounds from my front and rear brake when my car is on reverse or neutral and im steering my wheels left to right. So I bring th3 car back in for service the following day and told them my concern. The car stayed in the shop for another 3 days just for them to bring my car back to me with the squeeking sound coming back. The advisor told me that it was a normal sound but I told them no it's not, he kept saying it's the rain..etc Its the same squeeking sounds that I brought the car in service for. So the car stays, the car was returned a couple more days, theres still sounds and vibration coming from the brakes. Now they are telling me that the regenerative braking system that use to work when I first bought the car that it doesnt work and Sacramento cdjr is saying that it only charges 1% over where it's at. All false. (They also mention that there were a recall and that they needed to reprogram the car but we never got a letter or notice for it). Folsom CDJR also said they resurfaced the rotors, but when the car was returned to me they were all rusty rotors. Also the fuel meter gauge started jumping up and down, and fuel burning faster then before. Things were were not normal after the services. They are saying that they cant duplicate the issue, but when I took it to an independent shop, they notice the problem and also said that I have an electrical issue still.Read more
