Approximately 10 minutes into an ordinary drive home from work, the engine abruptly began making extremely loud noise, as if metal or bricks were being thrown inside the engine. Within moments, the engine rapidly lost power and then completely shut down. At no time did any warning lights, engine lights, or malfunction indicators appear on the dashboard prior to or during the failure. This incid
... ent represents a serious safety hazard. This vehicle is my primary tow vehicle for transporting a horse trailer, and had this failure occurred while towing, I would have had no control, no engine power, and no ability to maintain speed, creating a high risk of a major collision or highway accident. The fact that the failure occurred with zero warning makes the danger even more significant. Toyota has confirmed that this engine failure falls under the active recall. Despite this, the mode of failure—sudden shutdown while driving without any alert—poses a severe and immediate safety risk to drivers, passengers, and the general public.Read more

The vehicle is affected by manufacturer recall R25C8 (NHTSA 25V-655), which identifies a risk of battery overheating and potential fire during fast charging. The recall instructs owners not to use Level 3 (DC fast) charging because the vehicle’s battery system may enter a failsafe mode or experience thermal issues under high-load charging. This significantly restricts normal operation of the veh
... icle, especially for longer-distance travel, and raises concerns about battery safety during charging. The issue is ongoing, and no permanent remedy is currently available. The restriction on fast charging reduces the vehicle’s intended functionality and creates uncertainty about the safety of the high-voltage battery system. No collision or fire has occurred, but the condition remains unresolved. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request.Read more

[XXX] Problem: Multiple tire blowouts causing safety hazards and air-suspension damage Complaint Summary: My 2024 BMW i7 has experienced multiple tire blowouts, including the most recent , two within days of each other (12/8/2025 and 12/10/2025). On 12/8/2025, BMW replaced the right rear tire and advised me that the vehicle was safe to drive. Two days later, the left rear tire suffered the s
... ame sudden failure, requiring another tow. These failures occurred during normal driving and immediately after BMW dealership inspection and clearance. In addition to these recent events, earlier blowouts on this vehicle have already caused damage to the air-suspension system, requiring repairs. This indicates the issue is not normal tire wear but a recurring safety defect involving the vehicle’s weight, load distribution, tire load rating, or compatibility with the i7’s unusually high curb weight. The repeated failures and resulting suspension damage raise concerns about a broader defect in the design, load-bearing capability, or inspection procedures for this model. This vehicle is unsafe to operate, and the recurring blowouts place my family and other motorists at risk. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether the BMW i7 has a systemic safety issue related to tire integrity, load capacity, or suspension stress under normal driving conditions. This vehicle is affected by NHTSA Recall 25V644 (starter motor – fire risk). This may indicate that the defective starter component described in the recall is already failing. Combined with the stated fire risk, this creates a serious daily safety concern. BMW advises owners to park outside and away from structures, but provides no remedy, no timeline, and no assistance. Multiple inquiries to BMW Recall Support were answered with the same message: there is no known timeframe for parts or repair. I am filing this complaint because the manufacturer has not provided a remedy, has not communicated adequately, and the defect appears to be progressing in a way that increases the risk described by NHTSA. In January 2024, Ford issued Safety Recall 23S64 / NHTSA Recall 23V905 for my 2018 Ford EcoSport for critical engine oil pump failure causing loss of engine power AND power braking assistance - a defect that has caused crashes and injuries. I purchased this Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in June 2023 for $25,000 from an authorized Ford dealer in Santa Clara, CA, plus spent on CA DMV registration ($638) and auto insurance till now ($3,000). Ford has discontinued the EcoSport due to reliability issues. I have completely lost confidence in this vehicle's safety and have formally requested Ford buy back this defective vehicle for $28,638 (purchase price + registration + insurance costs). Just had my 2019 GMC sierra 1500 Denali engine fail. My truck has 75k miles oil changed regularly no codes, issues or dash lights. My truck wasn’t leaking anything and oil pressure was good but it sounds like popcorn was being made in my engine when it was on. Had my truck towed to Folsom GMC and yesterday 12/8 got a call I need a new engine. Called GM corporate to talk to them and opened a claim. GMC dealership got an initial help with 15% of the bill telling me I would need to pay $13,315. Talked to the service advisor and they put in a request for help from GM. Today at 9:00 a.m. they offered 50% coverage and I was able to get a little more but it still has me paying $7,500 and it will be 2-3 weeks to get the repair done. The dealership also will be getting me a loaner vehicle. This dealership has not been great but with this they are trying and doing a lot. However 75k on a truck that does not haul or have heavy use and is 7 years old with no prior issues is crazy. I was told cylinder 8 showed a misfire. Once they opened it up there was damage to the pushrods, valves and lifters with significant metal throughout the motor. I’m still waiting for corporate GMC to get back to me and hoping they will help or offer more money off as this is still a very large bill for a single father of 2 around the holidays. My 2022 Tesla Model X has two recurring safety-critical defects that remain unresolved despite multiple repair attempts. 1. Airbag / Restraint System Failure (RCM2 / OCS Defect): The vehicle frequently misclassifies the front passenger seat. It shows a passenger when the seat is empty and activates passenger seatbelt warnings incorrectly. Recently the vehicle displayed: “Front passenger safety
... restraint system issue: Service required (RCM2_a064).” Tesla attempted to repair an electrical harness in the seat, but the problem returned. A Tesla technician documented that the seat may still need a new occupancy sensor. Because this affects the Occupant Classification System and airbag deployment logic, it raises potential FMVSS 208 compliance concerns. 2. FSD / GPS Safety Hazard (5 Unsuccessful Repair Attempts): Across five service visits, Tesla attempted to fix GPS drift and unsafe FSD routing. The vehicle still attempts incorrect turns, performs premature lane changes, and misinterprets intersections. One recent incident involved FSD attempting a left turn one intersection early, nearly causing a collision. Tesla replaced the GPS antenna, recalibrated cameras, and replaced the computer, but the unsafe behavior continues. These two defects—incorrect airbag/OCS behavior and hazardous automated-driving/navigation behavior—create a significant safety risk to occupants and other drivers. Both defects persist after repair attempts. I can provide service records, videos, and documentation upon request.Read more

I have repeatedly had electrical failure in the vehicle in the form of a "Reduced Power Alert" which renders the vehicle with significant limitation to drivability. This places the vehicle in "limp mode" and this frequently occurs on the highway. Once this Alert appears the vehicle has limited propulsion, limitations to steering and braking as well as other electrical systems. It has been to th
... e dealership for repair on 4 occasions without remedy. It is leaving us on the highway in a dangerous situation repeatedly. It's not a one time event. There were 20 Alerts showing on the screen when I limped it into the dealership once again on [XXX] having nearly wrecked on [XXX] just before the [XXX] exit. The reason this is so dangerous is the failures occur at higher speeds such as highway driving. Leaving one with an immediate loss of forward motion as if you've hit the brakes but vehicles behind you have no warning. This is going to end up with someone getting rear ended or worse. Social media indicates it is a prevalent and not well understood recurring problem. Tesla has been quietly repurchasing vehicles from angry owners. Dreadful. My 2016 Mercedes Benz C300 started giving off funky fumes last year in 2024, now the fumes have turned into the smell of gas in 2025. Everytime that I call the dealership on Rockside Rd./ Broadway, located in Bedford Ohio, they give me an excuse as to why it's not their responsibility to correct the issue. What can I do?
