OEM Tires: 225/55/R18 - Bridgestone Turanza All Season I am writing to raise a formal concern regarding the premature wear of OEM tires installed on my leased 2025 BMW X1. At approximately 15,000 miles, I was advised to replace the tires at 4/32" tread depth, which is significantly below the longevity historically expected of OEM tires. This raises serious concerns around vehicle safety, environ
... mental impact due to early disposal, and the burden placed on consumers. Past OEM tires demonstrated substantially better durability, and I am seeking clarity on what has changed in design, materials, or standards that now allows for reduced tire life. I also request clarification on how this aligns with the safety commitments and environmental responsibility, and whether consumer interests are being adequately considered. I look forward to your written response. Regards, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Front differential diagnosed as failed, needing a full rebuild or replacement by local Ford Dealer. The vehicle now has 70,700 miles, the noise first thought to be a wheel bearing at 60K+ miles. Safety concerns are a possibility of a failure at highway speeds,. I have reviewed similar complaints with fewer miles on similar 2022 Ford f-150 trucks having these component failures.

Nuna had a major recall for their rava convertible car seats as your organization is aware of. However, there are two main issues that I'm having that Nuna has refused to address nor do they have a viable solution for. The first is that with the recall fix which was new material they sent out, the harness button is covered by Fabric and when the rava is in rear-facing mode it becomes almost imposs
... ible to reach the harness release button. Nuna recommended using the leg rest to address the issue, however, the issue does still persist. In a time of emergency, it would be incredibly difficult to get the child out quickly , and normally it is just very difficult. I have attached image so you can understand what I'm talking about. The second issue is that the Fabrics that Nuna has issued for the recall do not match the Fabrics of the original purchased equipment. This is a huge problem because there are now mismatches in fabric types versus inserts and consumers paid for a certain type of fabric and have only gotten the black or the granite as replacements as part of the recall. For the date that these things happen as is required by this form , I've put in and around the date that I received the Fabrics.Read more

We bought this vehicle from a local dealer in March (9months ago) in the time we’ve had it… it’s been in the shop for about 6 of them. 1- About 3 weeks after the purchase it shut off while I was driving on the highway. We then took it to the dealership in Jasper, Ga bc the error code said the pcm needed to be reset. They couldn’t get it to reset so they embarked on a diagnostic that took
... 3 months to discover the fuel pump was “too small”. The dealership repair guy assured us this was a solve to the issue, they’re tech put 200 miles on it an had no issues. 2- The day we got it back the check engine light came on and while going around a curve to the right, the wheel locked up on me and almost drove me into a mailbox. We turned around and went right back to the dealership. They had it for another couple weeks and told us we needed a new rack and pinion. We couldn’t afford the $6000 they wanted to fix that. So we then called the guy we bought it from and he had a local repair shop take a look and they replaced some parts on the rack and said it was good to go. 3- got it back and the check engine came on again, they code said pcm needed to be reset. We couldn’t get the dealership to call us back so we went to the local shop o’reileys recommended and they deducted some gauges needed to be replaced. 4- within a couple weeks the van was sputtering and cutting off again, we took it back to the local shop and the only thing they could think to do was change the auxiliary battery. 5- we’ve had it for about 2 weeks… 2 days again I went to start it up and it cut off. I had to wait a few minutes to try again and it started. Then yesterday while driving we stopped a red light and something popped and the dash lit up with errors and a grinding noise started. We went to accelerate to turn and started rolling backwards while in drive. We slammed on the brakes, turned the cautions on and put it in park and still rolled backwards. We had to get a tow back to the local shop.Read more

I am reporting a safety hazard with the Driver Monitoring/Driver Assistance system in my 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL (VIN: [XXX] ). The system frequently misinterprets my normal driving behavior as inattentiveness and triggers constant, loud beeping while I am driving. In many cases, it also disables assistance functions mid‑drive, which is dangerous and unexpected. The false alerts appear to be
... caused by the system misreading my eyes due to their natural shape and size. This issue does not occur with my wife, who has larger eyes, which indicates the system is biased toward certain physiologies and does not reliably detect all drivers. I have tested this repeatedly: if I strain my eyes unnaturally wide, the alerts stop, but this is extremely uncomfortable and only sustainable for a few seconds. The system is effectively pressuring the driver to adopt unsafe, unnatural behavior to avoid constant alarms. Environmental conditions such as sun glare, rain, and darkness make the false alerts even more frequent. The sudden loud beeping is startling and forces me to divert attention from the road. The unexpected loss of assistance features during driving further increases the risk of an accident. This system is not functioning as an assistive feature. Instead, it creates distraction, encourages unsafe compensatory behavior, and fails to accommodate normal variations in driver physiology. I request that NHTSA investigate whether Hyundai’s driver monitoring system meets safety and reliability standards and require corrective action if necessary. Shifter switch has gone out and no longer recognizes the car is in park, causes battery drainage because car cannot fully turn off. Mazda has had recalls and service bulletins related to shifter/ignition switches, particularly for models like the CX-5 and MX-5 (Miata) in years like 2013-2019, concerning worn shifter switch units (Part #KDY0-46-040) that can prevent the ignition from fully turning off in Park, potentially draining the battery or causing accidental activation. While some were major recalls (like the 1.4 million vehicle ignition switch issue in 2015), many were Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for the shifter switch issue where owners sometimes got repairs free even outside warranty due to the commonality.Read more

Subject: Consequential Damage and Failure of Remedy regarding Recall 24V-608 Incident Description: "I am reporting a failure of the manufacturer to provide an effective remedy for Safety Recall 24V-608 (Electric Water Pump) and subsequent consequential damage to the High-Voltage battery system. In September 2023, at approximately 78,000 miles, this vehicle exhibited 'Drivetrain Malfunctions' inc

The BMW dealer (Fields BMW) failed to diagnose the root cause and instructed me to 'keep driving'. Since the release of Recall 24V-608, it is clear these 2023 faults were early indicators of the coolant pump short-circuiting. This persistent electrical instability has now resulted in a permanent failure of Cell Supervision Circuit #3, causing the high-voltage contactors to open and leaving the vehicle disabled. The dealer is currently attempting to charge for diagnostics and battery removal. I am asserting that the lack of a timely remedy for the coolant pump (which was only recently shielded per the recall) caused a power surge that 'fried' the internal battery circuitry. This is a safety issue as the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of propulsion while in motion. I request that NHTSA investigate BMW’s refusal to cover battery failures caused by the electrical interference of the recalled coolant pump."Read more

Our vehicle alerted us to over heating and to pull over immediately. Our car then stopped running. We had it towed and was told there was an issue with the water pump sensor and corrosion issues. Spoke with BMW again regarding this and they said if our vin was not on the recall list there was nothing they could do. I would think when your vehicle make and model matches the recall and the issues are the same you would be part of the recall no matter the vin number. I would like for this to be reviewed and see if we can get a reimbursement from bmw for the charges we paid out of pocket for an issue that should have been covered by the recall. On Sunday, December 14, 2025, I was driving a 2022 Honda Civic Sport with my wife in the passenger seat when the vehicle’s driver-assist/steering system unexpectedly intervened and caused the vehicle to veer off the roadway and down a steep embankment (approximately 40–50 feet) without driver input. I attempted to correct the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to respond as expected. There was n

I suffered a neck/collarbone injury and a concussion. My wife suffered a concussion, a large laceration to her outer right calf, and bruising. Medical treatment was required and was sought at urgent care. After the incident, warning indicators were present on the dashboard. I later became aware that this model year has known complaints and recalls related to steering, lane-assist, or driver-assist system malfunctions. These issues were not disclosed at the time the vehicle was purchased used from a dealership. This appears to be a serious safety defect that poses a risk of injury or death to drivers and passengers. The vehicle is currently unsafe to operate.Read more

Re: 25V-636 We received a recall notice for the above notice over a month ago. The letter clearly states that there is a fire risk and to not park near structures. This leaves almost everybody who owns affected cars with no option
... but to put themselves or someone else at risk of this car catching on fire - where else can you park a car that might catch on fire? Its been 4 months since this recall has been issued nationally and no communicated resolution or targetted timing for resolution. Im concerned this recall will potentially start a gigantic car fire and harm someone, their homes, or their neighbors' property. Driving a vehicle with damage to this component posed a potential safety risk. The combination of structural damage, reduced driver assistance alerts, visibility system warnings, and unstable handling raised concerns about crash protection, vehicle control, and overall safety. The issues were identified by the selling dealer during inspection after the vehicle was returned for service and are available for further inspection if requested.Read more
