I purchased (2) Scorpion Pirelli Verde run flat 255/50R19 107H MS All Season tires from Orr BMW, Shreveport Louisiana on 02/10/2023. On 02/20/2023 in less than 15 miles from home I got a low pressure notice and proceeded to the stop and put air in the tire so that I could return the car home. Upon exiting my vehicle I could hear the air leaking from the tire but a visual inspection did not show an
... y cuts, nails, or punctures. I called Orr and was told to bring the tier/car in. I had to pay ($250) to have the vehicle towed to them and was charged $82 by Orr to mount and balance a replacement tire. I was told that the tire had a cut in it but was never shown. On my way to work this morning and the other tire that was purchased on 02/10/2023 is registering low tire pressure. So it appears that the (2) tires purchased are defective tires!Read more

My motorcycle began stalling when I pulled in the clutch and braked when approaching stops or when moving through slow speed turns. As time went on, it became more and more frequent. At least, once per ride. In December 2022, I took my Trident in for its annual service and mentioned the stalling to the technician. He said they would take a look at it and see what's up. When I picked up my bike, t
... hey said that they did not experience any stalling during their test ride after the service. Because they were not able to replicate the issue, no work was done. But they said to bring it back if the problem continues. The problem continued. In January 2023 and it was happening several times in a single ride. On a bad day, it would stall at every light or stop sign I'd hit, making the bike feel unsafe and un-rideable. It would die mid-turn causing me to almost fall over with traffic behind me. Then I started experiencing some trouble starting my bike when the engine was cold. I'd pull in the clutch, hit the ignition switch, and the engine would turn over before promptly dying. So I took it back to the dealer and this time they reflashed the ECU, thinking there might be some kind of bug there. I rode the bike home and it continued to stall. I returned to the dealer again. As it turns out, the MAP sensor and the MAP sensor hose was mucked up with oil and that there was also oil inside the airbox. These parts were replaced. Since then, the stalling issue has been resolved. But there are various forums online with riders providing anecdotal information about the stalling issue returning later on. https://www.trident660.com/index.php/topic,255.0.htmlRead more

Audio main head unit (Honda p/n 39171-T2F-A71) produces loud static from radio speakers. The noise becomes extremely loud. The loud static continues even if the audio system power is turned off. The noise is so loud it is disorienting. The only way to stop the noise is to pull off the road and turn off the engine. The loudness of the static puts the safety of the driver at risk. The problem is
... intermittent and cannot be reproduced on demand. I provided the Honda dealer with an audio/video tape of the problem. This tape was used by the service department to diagnose the problem. I paid $170 for the diagnostic test. Vehicle was inspected by the Honda dealer. Honda dealer advises the part is on backorder. Tentative availability is April 10, 2023. Vehicle was inspected by two independent auto stereo businesses. They were unable to repair because OEM wire harness is needed. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to audio main malfunction. The problem first appeared in November 2022. The car is not driveable when the static occurs. Since I cannot drive the car with the loud static, I paid the Honda dealer $85 to disconnect the audio main head unit. There is no static, but there is no radio, backup camera, bluetooth functions, etc. The problem was reported to American Honda Motor Customer Care on February 17, 2023. Assigned Case No. 13663941. Requested ETA of backorderd audio main head unit. Advised that this problem was a SAFETY issue. I received a call from American Honda Motor Customer Care on February 20,2023. I recently was advised by BMW that my valve cover had a leak as well as a rear axle. I feel that after only 8 years and less than 80,000 miles those component should NOT be failing so soon. I started th
... e car back up and it has been working fine. The dealer inspected the vehicle and advised that I should have the entire system replaced for a little under $6,000. My largest concern is that the steering system is going to give out when my wife is driving the car or when we are hundreds of miles away from a dealer to fix it. The aggravating portion of this is that there is a recall for this issue on 2015-2017 SUV's and the 4 series (Recall 16v-704) and BMW will not cover the costs for repairs. I'm currently talking with BMW North America to see if their good will repair program will cover it but I still believe that the electric steering should not go out after only 8 years and less than 80,000 miles.Read more

Summary POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION (PCV) VALVE HEATER: This recall involves an engine component known as the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve heater. The PCV valve heater may not have been produced to specifications which could lead to a short circuit. Safety Risk Should a short circuit occur, the PCV valve heater could overheat, lead to smoldering, and possibly start melting. In ext
... remely rare cases, this could increase the risk of a fire. Remedy An electrical wiring harness with fuse protection for the PCV valve heater will be installed for free. If the PCV valve heater is damaged, it will be replaced for free. This may take up to several hours to perform.Per the instructions on the NHTSA.GOV If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or TTY: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with NHTSA. Does a Bad PCV Valve Burn Oil? If you have a bad PCV valve, you are putting your vehicle at risk. The bad valve can create a leak which will cause your car or truck to have excessive oil consumption. The oil consumption will cause the oil to burn which will cause it to smell and will leave a puddle beneath your vehicle. If you notice either of these symptoms, give us a call here at Dennis Road Automotive to schedule service. Any oil leak is a bad leak that we want to check promptly to avoid high repair costs! PCV components are typically inexpensive, and esse https://www.thedrive.com/news/44680/bmw-recalls-almost-a-million-cars-over-valve-heater-fire-risk The PCV valve is easily one of the most important parts of your car, and although it is possible to continue to operate your car with a bad valve, it is not recommended as it can corrode your car's engine over time Common signs of a faulty PCV valve include excessive oil consumption, oil leaking, a blocked breather filter, and reduction in overall performanceRead more

The electrical system per the on-dash guide shows a voltage of 13.8 V or less than the 14.2 V and when it is less than the 14.2 V the car drives choppy, braking causes the car to jolt around even after brake work. ... or fluid that spilled in the bottom of the car, as the radiator had not completely been malfunctioning prior to arrival at dealer. This has probably caused some corrosion due to faulty manufacturing and use of subpar components to where this would become an issue. The air hoses continuously make noise as there is intermittent whirring. The electrical components of the car which I assume are manifested via the voltage regulator cause the adaptive cruise control/ auto stop-start to become 'unavailable' intermittently throughout driving the car. There have been recalls issued for other Jeep Grand Cherokees for the very same issues that my car is experiencing and I want this to be remedied and not at my expense.Read more

Park distance control 21. Cross traffic warning The warnings for these systems could come on right after starting the vehicle or anytime you are driving. What happens when the above systems are not working properly is the car can and will cut the throttle, that can be a temporary event or during the entire drive. It has happened to me where the throttle pedal and throttle response was working as normal then getting onto the freeway the systems went crazy and the gas pedal stopped working. So either the car comes to a stop or you stop the car. When stopped you have to put the vehicle in park, turn it off, turn it back on and put into drive and hope this resolves the issue so you can continue to drive. Sometimes it works and everything will be fine the rest of the drive, other times it doesn’t.Read more
