i am an owner of Mercedes 2022 EQS, living in Westchester, New York. There are a number of flaws in the auto drive software system that the company refuses to acknowledge. 1) the sensors on the passenger side of the car do not register a car immediately adjacent to you. Thus, while the auto steering feature still keeps the car within the lane, if the car to the right lane of my vehicle is adjac
... ent to me, there is no way for the auto steering to compensate by moving toward the left of my lane to avoid physical contact with the other car if they are teetering left in their lane. This is particularly dangerous on highways when traffic is moving at breakneck speed and/or 18 wheelers occupy the middle lane. 2) the auto drive feature does not keep the car in the middle of the lane when the road veers either left or right. The auto steering allows the car to veer onto the lane lines before overcompensating and veering far to the other side. 3) if you are traveling on the highway in the far left lane, and the lane line is painted too close to either a barrier, or a curb, the sensors on the left side of the car do not register that the lane line remains intact and to follow that course. The auto drive shuts off completely and the speed drops immediately. 4) If you are traveling at 65 MPH on a highway, and drive past a exit speed sign of 20 MPH, the auto drive immediately reverts to 20 miles an hour without warning.Read more

To whom it may concern. I’ve purchased a second hand vehicle from New Jersey I live in California. It is 2002 Subaru outback H-6 3.0 with 52,000 miles. Upon delivery I took it to orange coast Subaru for general inspection when it was brought to my attention that there’s an open recall from 2004 stating excessive corrosion in the rear sub frame. It applies on vehicles in cold wet states wher
... e New Jersey is one of them. Service advisor assure me that all is fine and they marked it as resolved. Upon inspection when I received the car back to my horror the sub frame is corroded to the point of disintegration. I took it back in and I’ve reached out to Subaru of North America where they look into it and concluded that the factory warranty is expired, 5 years 60k miles and they will not fix the recall. Base on my research there’s no expiration on manufacture recall and I’m not sure why they will not take care of it . Please help me navigate this matter. I bought my truck August 17, 2016 brand new from Crown Dodge - Chrysler with 7 miles on the odometer. When I bought my truck it had Good Year tires on the truck. At about 35k to 40k miles I replaced those tires with Michelin Defender LTX M/S that I purchased from Delta World Tire shop located 1629 Popps Ferry Road, Biloxi, MS 39532. Initially Delta World Tire shop could not correctly balance the
... rear tires. After a couple of complaints and rebalancing the tires, both within a 4 week time period, the manager rode with me on a road test. At this point, he ordered 2 new tires, however that did not take care of the problem. Since then I have twice had the tires rotated and aligned and supposedly balanced by the same tire shop that I purchased them from. After about putting about 5 thousand miles on these tires the tires felt like they were scraping across the pavement when turning from a stop, like when I was taking a right or left at a corner at a stop sign. The scraping feeling is more noticeable when taking a right. I have repeatedly talked to the manager at the shop asking about a possible recall on these tires, their method of balancing the tires or possible remedies, all I have been told is that they will not replace the tires or refund me anything for these tires. The manager suggested that there must be a problem with struts or something, however they wouldnt commit to that. At this point I spoke with an auto mechanic and he knew exactly what I was speaking of and said that it is the tires. I purchased Michelin tires for a previous vehicle that was a GMC Envoy from the same tire shop and that SUV drove like it was on rails. This was even more reason why I went with Michelin Tires. At this point, I will never buy Michelin Tires for any vehicle or trailer again in my lifetime. I also go out of my way to tell clients and inspectors how bad these tires are. Are Michelin Tires now made in Mexico or "Made In China" like all the other items that are junk???Read more

The accident took place on February 13 at approximately 7:40 a.m. My wife (the primary driver of the vehicle) had just dropped my son off at school and was pulling the vehicle into our garage as she has done at least four times a day since we purchased it in February 2022 for use as our primary family vehicle. She pulled into the garage, came to a complete stop, pressed the “Park” button and c
... onfirmed that the vehicle was in park, and removed her foot from the brake. The vehicle then lurched forward and collided with a storage cube adjacent to our garage wall, causing extensive damage to both the front end of the vehicle and the garage/dining room wall. Within minutes of the accident, I contacted Temecula Hyundai (our local dealership and service center), informed the Service Manager of what had just happened, and asked them how they wanted me to proceed given the fact that the malfunction was a warranty issue. They directed me to handle the accident through my insurance company. I specifically asked whether the vehicle needed to be preserved in place and not driven in order to maintain the scene and/or vehicle for investigation, and they said no. Nevertheless, we brought the vehicle to Hyundai that day to have it inspected and computer diagnostics run, since I suspected both might be necessary. They said the computer likely wouldn't capture this type of issue. We waited several weeks for our assigned Hyundai Case Manage (Tracy) to contact us with further instructions (which never happened, despite several requests for her and/or a supervisor to contact me), but eventually followed our insurance company’s instructions to take the vehicle to Caliber Collision to proceed with repairs, which were completed on March 30. We are still waiting for Hyundai corporate to address the issue.Read more

After driving approximately 2.5 hours at 70 miles per hour, I took an exit off of the interstate and stopped at the stoplight at the bottom of the exit ramp. After about 1 minute the light turned green and I accelerated sharply and turned left. The Check Engine Light started to flash and the vehicle experienced a significant loss of power. I was unable to accelerate to match the speed of the tr
... affic around me and created a hazard while attempting to find a safe place to pull off the road. After about 1/4 of a mile I was able to pull off the road. I shut off the vehicle and waited about 5 minutes. I restarted the vehicle and the light didn't return and it had full power, so I completed my trip. Additional info, outdoor temp was 34 degrees F. I was driving into a 25 MPH headwind during the 2.5 hours of internet travel. I took the vehicle to the dealer as it is under warranty and has about 18,000 miles. Dealer removed intake manifold, removed water that had collected in the intake manifold and reassembled. Vehicle computer didn't store any codes. Dealer was unable to explain how the water got into the intake manifold or provide any satisfactory reason or logic as to why it would not occur again under the same conditions. My concern is that there is some design flaw inherit to the air intake of this engine that allows condensation to collect under some conditions and causes a misfire that puts it into a limp mode that diminishes performance until the engine is cycled off/on. It is difficult to understate how terrifying the experience is of having traffic wiz around you with horns blaring and not being able to move out of the way.Read more

The speed with which the fire spread through the vehicle was a significant

I have a 2016 Hyundai Tuscon Limited Turbo which I bought USED in August of 2018. The same week I left the lot I returned multiple times complaining that the car was hesitating and seemed like the transmission was having problems. The car would hesitate to go from a stop, several times leaving me and my infant (at the time) in the middle of intersections crossing traffic and unable to move. It alm
... ost got us SLAMMED multiple times. I explained this to them and they just kept telling me it was because of the turbo. I said NO ONE in their right mind would manufacture a car that goes fast at the cost of safety. That was insane to me but they kept sending me home. I returned over and over and over again for the entire 1st year I had the car with no resolution. Eventually, I also discovered issues if I had to brake hard, several times almost running into the back of people and on 08/08/2020 I actually DID slam into the back of someone. I got to eat the cost of the insurance claim - only later to find out that there was a recall on the ABS system which I believe caused the accident. In 2020 when the transmission died, they replaced it under warranty. It took 49 days to replace, meanwhile I have an infant and riding a bus and riding my bike everywhere because the dealer did not help me with a rental or loaner. Then a year later in the middle of 2021 the engine died which they replaced under warranty, this time providing me with a rental for only a short time of the month long situation. Also racked up tow and tow storage bills exceeding $500 because it broke down on a major road in the middle of the night. Now, on 03/11/2023 I heard a sound coming from the engine which sounded like a cat screaming, coupled with severe hesitation when trying to accelerate. Took it to the dealer and they refuse to fix it, said the warranty company declined it. Called Hyundai Corporate and they said the same thing. I did do some research on the problem and found that several Ford Ecosport owners have had the same problem and read that Ford does know about this problem. My daughter purchased a 2014 Ford Focus in August of 2021 with roughly 35,000 miles. She was starting college as a full time student and needed a dependable vehicle.....which she DID NOT get. Zeck Ford in Itasca, Tx is where this was purchased and they KNEW of the issue regarding the TCM in this particular vehicle. This vehicle should have never been on that lot for sale. Ford recently closed thi
... s dealership in Feb/March 2023. The car did great till about Spring/Summer of 2022. It suddenly started jerking and check engine light would come on. It appeared it was possibly a loose cable...it was not. It drove fine till Oct of 2022 and again did the same thing. Contacted local dealership and we were THEN told of the issue with the TCM. We were also told all we could do was wait untill it acted up again bring it in to the dealership so that they could open a ticket. Well it never acted up in proximity to a dealership. It happened again in Dec of 2022. This time with the rmps revving up so far the vehicle would not drive and she had to have it towed paying out of her pocket. Today, April 3, 2023 she was on her way to school and it stalled on her TWICE going down the interstate. My husband and I had to go get her and he somehow managed to get it back to our house. She did purchase an extended warranty but they helps none in this situation . At this point we were at a loss of what to do. The dealership that has been trying to help us has informed us numerous times that they have not received the TCM part in their dealership in 2 YEARS!!!!! They currently have 2 identical vehicles like my daughters on their lot that DO NOT DRIVE due to this issue and have been sitting there for almost a year. I have reached out to Ford to no avail. Ford and ALL ford dealerships knew of this issue in Feb 2017 but continued selling this vehicle.Read more

Long Block replacement due to design flaw with 1.6L eccoboost engine. Engine failure occurred at 59,000, despite having every safety recall addressed and regular servicing by Ford. The design flaw, as I have leaned is due to a channel carved into the block between the cylinders. The resultant notch in the head gasket, reduced the gasket surface contact. This engine has a history of overheating,
... subsequent gasket failure, cracked engine blocks and ultimately Ir-reparable cylinder wall scoring. Because the car is no longer under warranty, Ford has refused to cover any part of the replacement cost. This issue has occurred with many hundreds of eccoboost engines--all related to the early defective design in Escape models 2010 - 2021. It took six months for Ford to deliver the new long block. The repair and associated costs to rent a vehicle, prior to the dealer making a loaner car available exceeds $10,000. With so many fatal failures over the entire line of eccoboost engines and several class action lawsuits for this very issue, this should have been a recall.Read more
