Each incident has been reported to the local dealer with which I have been trading for many years. They did a thorough inspection when I reported the incidents to them in January of 2020 and again just today after the last incident that occurred on May 19, 2023. They could find nothing wrong and include on their report "TAS STATES SUSPECTED DRIVER ERROR, PEDAL MISS [sic] APPLICATION." I do NOT accept this conclusion. I note in the last incident I had come to complete stop momentarily before the engine accelerated and despite my heavy pressure on the brake bucked forward, with control established only when I shut the engine down. During the entire period of these incidents I also have been driving two other vehicles, a 2008 Camry and a 2023 Camry. I have had no such incidents while driving these two cars. ... ock while I was parking in front of a food store in Raritan sometime last year. I did not have it fix yet because it was not so obvious and the aesthetics of the car was not much affected. For that reason, the man in the video was saying that he saw a little damage there and was assuming that there’s sort of impact there to the right but it’s hard for him to tell. He was talking of a hard impact which did not happen. He said, visually he could not see anything that is bent but usually if there is a hard impact, it usually twigs the knuckle or the tire rod and he was pointing to those. He also said that when there is a hard impact, they usually recommend to replace the steering rack which is very delicate electronic steering rack and he was pointing where it is. He said, those 3 parts need to be replaced and he will do an alignment once they’re done. He said the reason why always the collision warning are coming on are because of all the steering angle faults from the steering moving so far off. I spoke with the manager last Monday and agreed with alignment but he said if the warning won’t go away after then, I have to spend about $5,000 to replace all those 3 parts. They were not listening that the car did not get a hard impact that’s why they could not see anything bent. It was just the right side of the bumper that was hooked to a rod. They did not even talk about checking the cameras or sensor of the car which according to google is the common cause of frontal collision malfunction. The dealership knew exactly what the problem was when called but didn't recommend dropping the truck off as there are no ETA on replacement. Their recommendations is to research online to try to have the part repaired. No the part has not been inspected as it it unsafe to drive at the moment and there are no available replacement parts for the TCM at this time. The warning lights did not come on until the part failed to allow the transmission to shift. Was using cruise control on a road trip, traveling through Arizona and the car jolted to stop three different times without advance notice or anything in the road. It was like slamming on the brakes. ... n the 2 warning lights were gone & I was able to drive it across the street. I had been hearing a noise under the hood & wasn't sure if it was a belt or something. A mechanic said the belts, hoses etc were good but he thinks that noise was my engine rod bearings going & he had dealt with more Hyundai engine problems recently. I had Hyundai dealership check my engine & they said my connecting rod bearings are bad & I need new engine. They said this is not covered under their extended warranty & I am over the warranty miles & they won't help in any way. This is a bad engine & I have met other Hyundai owners in same situation. & it wasn't until I read an article where another Hyundai driver experienced the same thing I did on April 13 before her engine died on a highway that I connected that event with a bad engine so I believe that is what happened to me on April 13 except my engine didn't completely die on me. This is a safety issue if a car engine stops working while driving on a road. I have receipts from everything I have done to my car & you can tell it wasn't lack of care that caused this engine failure. It is engine defects I believe are causing them. Please investigate the problem & keep Hyundai & Kia drivers & drivers around them safe. And get Hyundai to do right by their customers & replace these defective engines. I can show invoice where Hyundai declined providing assistance because of miles as 2nd owner but service man only hand wrote problem with engine was connecting rod bearings on it. On my way to work one day the check engine light,ABS light and traction control light came on and I thought something under the hood had came loose thought nothing about it and went into work when I came back out and got into the truck the lights where gone no big deal just sorta let it go and since I work out of state this is the truck I drive when I go back to my home state so I drove it 4 hours
... one way and never had a problem and then on my way back to my work state the truck shut off and wouldn’t start back up for about 45 minutes or so but when it did it had a red lightning bolt,ABS,traction control and check engine light on so I called the dealership and asked them to check on it but by the time they got it in the shop the lights had went back off and they told me that nothing was wrong with it so I went to pick it up the next day but as soon as I got 1/2 a mile down the road it started the same thing brakes going in and out truck shutting off so they paid for it to be towed back and figured out that the egr and the abs brake module was going out and tried to make me pay for everything out of pocket because it had just went out of warranty with ram but it had the extended warranty and keep in mind this truck has 30k miles on it but anyways they replaced the egr but have yet to replace the abs braking moduleRead more
