Last week as I was driving the engine oil warning light came on. I pulled into a parking lot immediately and turned off my Sonata. After a few minutes I checked the oil and found no oil on the dip stick. I added oil and returned home where I checked online and discovered that there was a recall for Hyundai Sonatas using or burning excessive amounts of oil and ruining the engine. I called my local
... dealership and was told that my VIN is not included in the recall. It cost thousands of dollars to repair or replace an engine. How could my VIN not be included? The dealership offered no help. I go to the local dealership to have my oil changed every four to five thousand miles.Read more

I was in the driver's seat in one-pedal driving. The car was stopped. I attempted to move the vehicle up a few feet so the driver in the car behind could reach the microphone to order their meal. When I tapped the gas pedal, the car moved slightly, but the engine revved loudly and thoroughly; the iX50 then launched itself forward, and I applied the brake. The brake pedal went to the floor. The iX5
... 0 launched violently forward. It struck the stopped full-size SUV in the rear. That vehicle came to a stop, literally 20-25 feet forward. The iX50 then hit the steel pole there to protect the drive-thru window. The steel pole came entirely out of the ground. The BMW app on my phone generated a message that the iX50 had a brake failure, that the suspension was unstable, that the iX50 should not be driven, and that the wheels should be blocked so that it could not roll.Read more

I had just purchased this well-used 2012 F150XL [XXX] ) because well into retirement at [XXX] and officially handicapped, it was all I could afford and had to get a personal loan for it anyway. The truck would not
... start, the column shifter was locked in Park and I could not even push it clear of a carport for a tow truck. With endless research, I find that this Shift Interlock failure is very, very common on these trucks of all related years and mileages. Below is a quote from a site: According to a survey, more than 75000 complaints reported against this problem across the USA in the last 15 to 17 years. In addition, it has affected the reliability of these F150 models due to sudden column shifter failure with minor internal damage. In my case, the Horn stopped working, the seats no longer adjust, the truck is in Limp Mode only and the steering is now only manual. It is a danger to drive, yet Lake Keowee is too busy to return my calls and chat efforts, a local repair facility charged $800 to NOT fix it and refuse to look at it again for “maybe” two weeks” As said, I am disabled and a lifelong type one Diabetic so very brittle. I require a means of transportation, yet no one cares enough to offer / or knows how to fix it. This is a known problem that Ford has gotten away with for decades now and an official Recall on the Shift Interlock needs to be fixed. The ball is in your court now. I was driving my 2019 Chevy Silverado and the low oil pressure light came on. I pulled over to find that my truck was leaking oil. I called a tow truck and had the tow truck take me to location that I bought the truck (25 miles away). While waiting for the tow truck I did research about what could be happening. While doing my research I found this recall by Chevy: [XXX] My truck was looked at
... and I was called the next day and informed that the issue was "oil cooler line crimps coming apart and leaking". To my dismay I was informed that my VIN was not part of this recall. I find this to be either very ironic or the recall needs to be expanded to include additional 2019 Chevy Silverado's. I have an email from the service manager; Dereck West, at Victory Chevy Milan Michigan, stating that the diagnosis was as follows: "inspected to find oil cooler line crimps coming apart and leaking. replaced oil cooler line assembly". Again, this seems to match the recall perfectly. I was advised by Chevy to file a complaint and retain all records related to this incident. I have tried contacting GM for additional support. I have been unsuccessful with getting any responses from GM customer support. Upon additional research I found many forums that describe the exact same issue that I have described above. Customers having to pay for an issue that matches identically to a recall because their VIN is not part of the recall. It is my opinion that this recall should be expanded to include additional VIN's for 2019 Chevy Silverado's. I am more than willing to provide any additional information that might be needed. We operate numerous 7.3L Ford engine equipped vehicles in our fleet of ambulances. Over the past year we have experienced 4 engine failures of this 7.3L engine in vehicles ranging form around 60,000 to 90,000 after exceeding the service recommendations stated from the manufacturer. At first, we were told that we were the only ones experiencing these failures, but now I am hearing from other operators of similar vehicles that they are experiencing the same concern. We cannot afford to keep replacing engines in relatively new vehicles, especially when there is an apparent defect in parts or standard operation. I have been the owner of a 2023 Mazda CX-30 since July 2023. On [XXX], 2023, I received automated warnings on the dashboard and through the Mazda App stating, "ActiveSense system malfunction. ActiveSense advanced safety and driver support system may not operate correctly." The service department at the dealership where I purchased the car explained that the sensors had overheated due to the hot we
... ather. Unfortunately, a similar warning appeared on the dashboard on [XXX], and this time it resulted in damage to the car. On that day at 13:33, while maneuvering into a parking spot in the parking garage with my foot on the brake pedal, the car suddenly and rapidly accelerated and collided with a concrete post. Fortunately, I am unharmed but shaken, and the front of the car sustained damage. Immediately after the incident, I contacted the service department, explained the situation, and requested an emergency service to assess the car. The service department conducted checks on the brakes and suspension, performing a full-circle inspection. Their report stated, "Could not find any evidence to support the customer's claim." The service advisor expressed disbelief in the issue I described, stating he had not heard of such problems before. Contrary to the service advisor's disbelief, records on NHTSA.gov reveal numerous instances of sudden unintended acceleration while pushing on brakes for Mazda CX cars (CX5, CX30, CX50). These instances have occurred and have been reported nationally/across numerous states in the USA. I am urging Mazda to thoroughly investigate all reported complaints, issue recalls for affected cars, and enhance their safety features. As of now, there have been no reported fatalities, and it is crucial for Mazda to take proactive measures in investigating and addressing our claims to prevent any potential harm caused by errors in the ActiveSense system. The placement of the horn button on this vehicle is absoutely unsafe. There was a near miss accident where a car ran a stop sign and in the heat of the moment, trying to turn the wheel, the horn could not be engaged. That is because the horn is engaged on a tiny touch button on the righthand side of the steering wheel and not through the traditional pushing of the middle of the steering wheel.
... Because when you maneuver the wheel, instinct kicks in and you slam on the middle to honk, but nothing happens, it's impossible to calm yourself, look down and find the button. This is absolutely a dangerous oversight by Tesla to replace the wheel and horn mechanism and they should be forced to replace this at no cost.Read more

After passing a vehicle on a 3 lane interstate, the vehicle accelerated on its own to over 100mph. I hit the cruise control button to turn it off, but the car continued to accelerate on its own. I hit the brake to slow down and try to get it to shut off (thinking if was a crui

I continued to brake about 7-8 times, then I heard a loud "kurplunk" in the engine, and it stopped. It continued to drive normally for the rest of the trip. The Rogue was taken to the dealership and checked out. I was told the "floor mats got stuck on the gas pedal and not to drive with both the carpeted mats and the rubber mats in the vehicle." I told the service manager this obviously was not the problem and there was a bigger issue, and that did not explain the loud sound coming from the engine. Upon leaving the dealership that same day on 3/30/2023, I accelerated to get on an onramp to Interstate I35, and the RPM stuck at 3200 and would not go down. The engine roared. It was in Sport Mode, so I switched the vehicle to Standard and the RPMs dropped to 2000-2100. I circled back around and went back to the dealership and had the female servie manager ride with me.
