With only 99,000 miles on my 2018 1.5L 4 cyl Accord, the electrical part of the fuel injectors is beginning to fail. This has caused misfires in multiple cylinders. My safety was put at risk because when the misfires occur the engine has stumbled and all warning icons light up and the warning messages for all systems come on. When this happens the adaptive cruise control (ACC) stops working and
... the low tire pressure icon is always lit even though the tires have not lost pressure. ACC is a safety system and I will have no warning if a tire develops a leak. This could cause an accident at highway speeds. Moreover, the stumbling could result in an unexpected rapid slowdown at highway speeds. I have taken the car to an independent shop that reproduced the condition and believes the fuel injectors are failing. I called the local Honda service that confirms the injectors are failing. There were no indications of the condition prior to the warning lights coming on. From an internet search failing injectors below 100,000 miles appear to be a common problem with 2017-18 Honda 1.5L engines as I found numerous references to 2017-18 Honda 1.5L injector failure on Honda owner boards.Read more

[XXX] tire on driver's rear began to have significant vibration while towing 16,000 lb. fifth-wheel RV. Because this type of failure does not produce TPMS warnings, it could have been a catastrophic failure that might have resulted in damage to our vehicles and/or a crash with significant injury to us or other motorists. With three failures from the same batch of tires on our vehicle, I believe there is a serious problem with this batch of tires and they should be recalled. ... g. Warning lights and warning sounds are designed to alert the driver to a potential safety issue so ignoring the lights and sounds is dangerous in the event it is a different caution/warning. However, also not ignoring it is dangerous because of the frequency of the warnings which causes the driver to look away from the road. After speaking with the maintenance department at my VW dealership, they indicated that this is a widely known problem that is remedied only with the replacement of the steering wheel. There are several other sensors that are triggered by the same issue I was told by the maintenance department. They are uncertain at this time if it impacts the airbag system which is another potential safety concern. The steering wheel can only be ordered after inspection by the maintenance department and there is shortage and/or back order of the part to fix the problem.Read more

Since 2019, the power steering for my Kia Sorento has failed on at least 30 occasions while my vehicle is in motion, placing vehicle occupants and nearby drivers at significant risk of a serious accident. All failures have the following in common: - Vehicle becomes very difficult to steer and requires significant arm strength to turn the wheel to either the left or the right - The red EPS warni
... ng light illuminates, no other warning lights nor alarms - The steering wheel feels a minor shudder before fully locking - Upon stopping them vehicle, placing in park, turning the engine off, and then turning the engine back on, the EPS warning light is no longer illuminated and the steering is restored ("as if nothing happened") - There no known common causes, such as vehicle speed, temperature, nor any other triggers which cause this error, as a driver, there is the distinct chance that it can happen at ANY time Documented instances8 with video include: 11/20/2021 8/2/2022 8/4/2022 8/18/2022 (highway speed, specified in Additional Details) 8/24/2022 3/13/2024 Kia America issued an "MDPS Warranty Extension Notice" on January 7 2022 which appears to be specific to this problem sine it references EPS warning light, however this is a categorically insufficient response by Kia since it offers no clear remediation to address the actual acknowledgment by the manufacturer of their problem, offering coverage "if the diagnosis indicates the condition" but stating "vehicle steering will continue to be operational" after EPS illuminates. This is false since a person of my size is unable to operate the steering I have taken the vehicle to a Kia dealership for this problem on several occasions, including 2/7/22 after receiving the above "warranty notice," however their equipment is incapable of finding any record of the problem using any advanced OBD scanners, nor able to replicate the problem through driving since the problem is random, hence Kia will not repair under warranty.Read more

The dealer now informs me of this TSB and although it was intended to ONLY cover your first set of failing brakes, the Service advisor got the ok from the VW district manager to warranty them this time. Once again VW admitting to a problem with my vehicles parts and or manufacturing. The fact that they and the NHTSA know there is a problem with the electronic braking and they refuse to fix it is dumbfounding. My front pads at 41,250 have only used 3mm of the original 12 while the rear pads went through 2 complete sets or 24mm. This could not be more obvious it is a manufacturing defect as the rear pads are applied nearly 100% of time and the front nearly 0%.
