I was turning right and as I pulled out my power steering totally went out causing g me to loose control for a second but then it came back on almost causing an accident. This isn't the 1st time just the most recent. There's a recall on other years of the same vehicle with Ford for the same problem but not for 2013.

While traveling on the interstate 3 months ago, my 2020 Jeep Wrangler began to vibrate violently after driving over a seam in the road while traveling around 70mph. After slowing down and pulling over, I assessed the exterior of the car and tires for any obvious defects and continued on without identifying any structural problems. Within the next 20 miles the violent reverberations occurred again.
... We pulled over, concerned that something catastrophic could occur and brought the Jeep to a local mechanic. The mechanic suggested that the wheels should be balanced which we complied with, although we had just recently had a tire rotation and balance prior to this trip, but thought perhaps the violent shaking caused the tires to misalign. That same day, we searched online to see if others had experienced a similar phenomenon and learned about the "death wobble". We called Jeep that day and they would neither confirm nor deny that the Jeep was safe to drive for the remainder of our trip. We continued on at a lower speed and encountered the same problem the following day. We feel this vehicle is unsafe to drive and Jeep has informed us that they do not have enough parts to fix our Jeep because of the volume of affected vehicles. We’ve been on a waitlist for the part for the past 3 months.Read more

The GM portable charger has two pigtails for using either 120V Level 1 or 240V Level 2 charging. My complaint is that the GM charging unit will default to 120V Level1 charging without any fault/warning indication if one phase of the 240V circuit fails. I had a 240V dedicated service installed so that I could charge my EV at 240V Level 2 charging rates. The charging rate didn't seem to improve
... after plugging the charger into the 240V outlet, but I assumed that was due to current limitations of the GM portable charging unit. I happened to check the charging rate as displayed on the infotainment unit and discovered that I was actually charging at "120V Level 1" even though I was plugged into the 240V outlet. I discovered that a fuse had blown on one of the phases of the service and after analyzing my electric utility bills realized that the fuse must have blown immediately. I didn't check the fuses before because the charger light was on and I assumed everything was ok. I've uploaded some photos of the electrical fault. Being a new EV owner and naive to charging rates and levels, I was unaware of the issue. The pigtails for the GM portable charger should have an 'identifier' circuit that allows the charger to determine if the service connection matches the expected capabilities and provide some type of fault or warning indication.Read more

For about 4 months I had a smell that my son and I could not locate. As I was driving with my wife on our way back home, my vehicle flashed every warning light, and my dashboard went dark. I was going about 40–45 mph, the engine was still running, and we made it home, which was only less than 2 miles from my house. As I was driving on my way home, the media console had this message: "vehicle network communication error," but once home, I could not get the SUV to
... shift into park, and it suddenly shut off on it's own. My 2021 Bronco Sport is still under Ford's manufacturer warranty. I requested a tow from the Ford app to have it delivered to Hacienda Ford Service of Edinburg, Texas, and a payment of $201.09 was required to dispatch a tow service. A couple of days later, I got a call that my SUV was ready, the battery might of been in a low state of charge, and there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. The dealership service manager claimed on the phone to have never heard of a "vehicle network communication error." I even took pictures of the error message on my phone, but the dealership had no desire to even take a look at the video or pictures of the vehicle network communication error message. If it happens again, at least I know how to temporarily fix the vehicle's malfunction. The tow truck driver disconnected the battery for 15 minutes and was able to get the vehicle to start and shift it back to park. So I ended up paying $201.09 to have the privilege for Hacienda Ford Service to tell me my battery might of been at a low state of charge while I was driving.Read more

I am writing to report a serious issue with our 2017 Hyundai Tucson. As the first and only owners of this vehicle, we have diligently maintained it through authorized dealerships. However, in May 2023, while driving on the highway, the car suddenly lost power and would not accelerate beyond 30 mph. There were no warning lights or indications prior to this incident. My wife managed to pull the car
... to the side of the road and slowly drove it to the dealership. Despite having only 30,000 miles on the odometer from personal use, we were shocked to learn that the engine had suffered significant damage due to low engine oil. Notably, we had recently serviced the vehicle at the same dealership just a few months earlier. The dealership informed us that the engine needed replacement, but the process took nearly a year. During this time, we were left without our vehicle, causing considerable inconvenience and financial hardship due to renting replacement vechile . We find it concerning that an engine failure occurred despite our regular maintenance and adherence to authorized service centers. We kindly request an investigation into this matter and hope that steps can be taken to prevent similar incidents for other Hyundai Tucson owners. Additionally, we urge Hyundai to address this issue promptly and transparently.Read more

Several warning lights flashed on and off while driving. My display/computer turned off and rebooted while driving. A day or two later the electric rear hatch stopped working. I called the dealer first thing since it was a frightening thought thinking the car may blow up or trigger the airbag ma
... king me (or whoever is driving the car) crash into someone else. To my surprise there was no warning or recall on the problem. A surprise since a simple google search turned up pages of complaints, chat rooms and discussions concerning the same issue. This is where the battery is stored in this car. The battery was sitting in inches of water even though it is slightly elevated. The control module for the electric hatch (according to a schematic found by google) although in a separate raised styrofoam holder, was halfway submerged in water. Under the side panel was wet. In that side panel is the fuse/ relay panel. Water was dripping down the side of that wall and the insulation was wet and dripping at the bottom and into the bay. The safety of myself, the driver, or my wife the primary driver of the car could be affected in many unexpected/ unknown ways with a short on the fuse panel or worse yet water sloshing around a big 12 volt car battery. Could it explode? I don’t know. I vacuumed out the water and it has come back and fills a substantial amount in a couple weeks. About one inch per week. It is certainly ongoing. My wife won’t drive it so deduction tells me it is not coming in from driving it. It is available for inspection although I have not driven it to the dealer since it has been quite wet and is some distance away. I tried to follow your format and include all your requested details. If I have left anything out I am happy to answer any questions. Thank you for the opportunity to bring this to someone’s attention. Hyundai Theta II engine has known defects with excessive engine oil consumption. Numerous consumers have complained of this issue as it appears widespread to the entire line of Theta II engines. A recent class action has limited the scope of the recall but an easy search can see it impacts (or has the potential to impact) nearly all Theta II (six gen) engines from Hyundai. The issue is that the s
... cope of the recall needs to be widened to cover others who are impacted who currently have no recourse. Many are facing the same situation, which can easily be found with a brief search online. [XXX] At this time the issue is the car stalling at unknown times, fire from oil being displaced in other areas and various other issues due to improper and unusual oil consumption. The best situation would be to force Hyundai to review and expand the scope of their recall immediately. I found that I had excessive oil consumption which was causing my car to grind and shift heavily sometimes jerking on the highway. While I didn't crash, that possibility did exist when my car continually grinded heavy between shifting. I took my car to the dealer where they confirmed this issue. However, Hyundai declined to remediate. There are no warning lights and this could easily result in a crash, or fire. Hyundai has records of my maintenance, as my car is only serviced by the dealership where the car was purchased and I am the original owner. My wife was driving the vehicle after taking it from its service around 58,000 miles and started hearing whirring noise coming from the front of the car and after returning from an overseas trip, I looked at it and thought that the wheel bearing was going. The mileage was only 59,003 miles. So, I scheduled a diagnostic service at the Green's Toyota of Lexington dealer, paid for it and Toyota and w
... as told me that the transmission pump was failing, at 59,235 miles, but since the car was over 5 years old, which I purchased on 11/17/2017, warranty ended even though the car did not reach 60000, and that the cost estimate was $13,000+. I took it to a Power Transmission shop for a second option, paid for another diagnostics, and they stated that the transmission bearing is failing, and the transmission needs replacements, and that the cost estimate, for a remanufactured transmission, was $8,000+. I called Toyota, submitted report, C-HR Forum chats documentation that show other owners having issues even sooner, and they stated that since the car Power Train warranty was up, they could not do anything. And now I am seeing here over 112 complaints about the same issue when Toyota only recommends, on their maintenance manual, to change the transmission oil at 60,000 miles, not even an inspection before...., and the dealer that maintains my car looked at it around mileage 58,000, did not say nothing and scheduled the next service for 63,000 with no mentioning. So now, I have a $13,000 bill to pay to replace the transmission on a car that I paid $25,000+ for, but now only worths $19,000 and Toyota is taking no responsibility for this CVT transmission issue. Now, I have to fix and trade this car because I am afraid the transmission will go again, and I no longer have a warranty. I could have been in big trouble if I had continued to drive this vehicle as when the transmission would have gone it could have been anywhere.
