6/23 the oil light started to flickering, in particular to coming to a stop or turning. This was even after just having an oil change the month before. I checked the oil & it was low already so, of course I put a couple quarts in. I continued to monitor my oil as this was happening. I did not see any oil leaking onto our driveway or from anywhere. I called our mechanic to schedule an appointment.

Mechanic could not perform a diagnostic until a software update was done by Kia. 8/16/23 Kia does software updates & takes care of any recalls. I returned to our mechanic 8/21/23 so he could now do the diagnostic test & make repairs. He replaced the intake manifold, valve cover gasket & changed the oil with new filter. 9/23/23 the oil light starts flickering again & oil is low. Called our mechanic & he asked us to monitor it another month. So, we added oil & the oil light stayed off for another month. 10/26/23 oil light is flickering AGAIN! On the phone AGAIN with our mechanic, who tells us he sees Kia has a "tab" on Sorento's burning oil. 11/14/23 diagnostic performed by my other mechanic who also previously worked at Kia. Diagnostic test shows #3 cyl misfire. 11/16/23 #3 cylinder ignition coil & spark plug replaced. 11/22/23 car starts riding rough. 11/25/23 diagnostic shows #1 cyl spark plug. 11/30/23 replaced remaining #1,2 & 4 cyl spark plugs. 1/10/24 I was driving on a 4 lane hgwy in traffic & the car suddenly went into limp mode & stalled. Luckily it started again & I was close to the exit. I was able to catch a break in traffic to get over as I could only go about 15 mph. 1/11/24 had the car towed to Kia after my mechanic ran a diagnostic & got p1326 knock sensor code. 1/12/24 Kia replaced the knock sensor, saying the car is good now. 2/4/24 car is riding rough. I brought it to the dealership where I purchased the vehicle, and they found no issues. I had previously replaced all 4 tires and

After calling a mobile technician out, and upon research of similar events, it was determined that the Electronic Ignition System had failed. We had the RV towed to Mercedes Service Center in Asheville, NC where the problem was confirmed. It appears that internal windshield condensation can drain into the dash and

We found a service bulletin (Reference XENTRY TIPS Topic # LI54.2-N-069524; attached) describing the issue and corrective actions. This bulletin is dated October 7, 2020. Mercedes Asheville repaired the damaged EIS module and installed the protective "boot" cover at our expense. Our Mercedes Sprinter had been taken our RV in for both Service A and Service B over the previous 2 years for routine scheduled maintenance. At neither maintenance event was the problem discussed or the corrective "boot" cover for the EIS offered. Our concern is that this is a known design defect that renders the Sprinter fully non-functional. The failure could occur at any point which could leave the drivers stranded in remote or potential high traffic areas. We would like to apply pressure to Mercedes to offer the corrective "boot" cover at all routine maintenance visits and also feel this defect warrants a safety recall to force action by the Manufacturer.Read more

This vehicle is currently on its third radiator since it was purchased, 4 years ago. That’s almost 1 radiator per year. The vehicle also has transmission issues on the highway. They haven't paid any attention to my calls and want me to pick car from dealership without getting into why it happened. Before this happened I noticed at least four times the car speeds up when you press cruise control button even without setting the set up button. Ford is not willing to do anything about it and I am scared to drive that car the way it shot at me and itself speeded while I was in car line. Unknown. Vehicle was coming to a stop and it "surged" forward. Brakes applied could not stop it. Caused accident, it hit the car in front which hit the next car in line. There were injuries. If this vehicle had surged in front of a pedestrian, there could have been a fatality. Vehicle was inspected by insurance company to determine cost to repair, not looking for cause. Vehicle wad totaled.

... n Lancaster, Ohio. The Buckeye Honda (service department) said that they had not seen this problem before, so they contacted the Tech Dept. at Honda to seek assistance in the diagnosis. The safety of the vehicle occupants was put at risk by the almost complete loss of brake functions and the interacting functions. At first the Brake warning and AVS warning lights would illuminate on the driver's display, and then they would go off and everything would function normally. But the driver' display warnings got more frequent and the brakes would not function normally. Finally, all of the driver's display warnings would sequence through, one by one, and the brakes were almost entirely gone. The Honda dealer did not give me the faulty part because he said it would have to be sent to Honda. I do not know if Honda America will inspect the part to determine the cause of the failure. I did take a cellphone picture of the part. The problem began approx. [XXX]. I picked up the repaired vehicle at Buckeye Honda on Monday [XXX]. The part was out of warranty by about one month: The "In-Service date" was [XXX]. The mileage on the vehicle was 12,920 miles at the time of repair and I am the original owner. Honda America did give me a "Goodwill" authorization number, in coordination with Buckeye Honda in Lancaster, Ohio, which lowered my out of pocket cost to $l457.73.
