The Brake Booster created unsafe vehicle handling/driving . Safety was at risk as the car would not remain stopped when the brake pedal was pushed. The pedal would resist pressure and the car would move forward into instersections, cars in front of this car, and it required that I place the car in Park to stop the car. The part has been replaced and the brakes work as they should. There was
... a recall of the 2018-20 Chrysler Pacificas for the same reason. I read that others have experienced this Brake Booster problem with other years, excluding 2018-20. Lives of the people in the car were at risk until this was fixed. Also, it was not noted on the Chrysler computer check as a problem. I had to insist that it was happening in order to get this repaired. There has been precedence for this malfunctioning part and I request that I am reimbursed what I paid for repair, along with a recall issued. Lives are at risk!Read more

I was backing out of a parking lot of my employment on the early evening of 8.22.24. I heard the familiar whale moaing noise coming from the rear brakes ( has been in and out of the Ford Shop for to address this know issue; still no permanent solution), I immediately noticed when I went to touch the brake pedal it would not push down. The pedal was stiff and required me to heavily push down to get
... the vehicle to stop. I noticed a severe grinding noise. Fortunately I was able to turn my car back around and safely park it. I pushed the parking brake button and it was not on and then it would not go off. It finally did after several minutes. A friend who knows cars went back with me to look at what could possibly be wrong. He looked under the hood and found a broken vacuum line. I have pictures. I left the vehicle and went home to research. I found a 2021 Compliance Recall Notice 21C31/NHTSA Recall 21V922. I purchased this Bronco Sport used in the fall of 2022 and do not recall knowing of any recalls, including if this specific one was performed on my vehicle . This recall correlates to what happened to my vehicle. It looks like the vacuum booster failed, wore out and caused my automatic brakes to fail. There was no warning lights or indicators that anything was faulty up until the incident. The vehicle has had regular maintenance and has been in to Ford Service to address the most current recalls and TSB's issued since I've had possession. This shook me up . I am so lucky I was not driving at a high speed and in traffic. Things could have been a lot worse. I am deeply concerned about this vehicles safety profile. There seems to be a pattern with this make a model concerning various components including the brakes. I this point I need it fixed so I can look at trading it in for a reliable and safe alternative. I am attaching pictures as well and the recall notice that I found a a Ford Forum from an owner who received this back when the issue originated.Read more

In cold temperatures the vacuum system that keeps 4x4 disengaged seems to be failing. There is a loud grinding noise with vibrations when driving any speed. It will go away after you engage 4 wheel drive. I feel this is unsafe and worry with winter coming soon the hubs may lock up causing a head on collision or cause vehicle to go in the ditch. I’ve had this issue since I first bought the pickup
... brand new in late October of 2023. In above freezing temperatures the grinding and vibration does not happen. No light warning indications when this will happen either. I have called the dealer and made a case number, they say engineering is looking into it. They tried replacing the IWEs and it didn’t make a difference. I’ve done a lot of research online and many people all over in colder climates are experiencing the same thing.Read more

I’ve been hearing a creaking noise in the rear when coming to a stop. Independent mechanic inspected it and said the subframe was severely rusted and that I probably should not drive long distances until it is fixed. They researched and said others have had similar issue. Mercedes apparently is aware and offers an “extended warranty.” I have an appointment in two weeks (!) to have it looked

Can’t imagine that the part in question, which according to my mechanic, “essentially holds the back of the car together” wouldn’t be an immediate recall. Car has 120k miles on it.Read more

The service electronic brake light and traction control light on my 2018 Ram 2500 keeps going on and off while driving. This started with only 12,048 miles and 6 weeks over my 3 year warranty. Research shows that this is a common issue with 2018 Rams and newer. Thousands of complaints have been reported and there are several Class Action Lawsuits regarding this issue in several States. Also being
... reported, is that this issue causes towing problems and the cruise control to malfunction, so I don't dare to use either when traveling. Even with repairs, if you can find the parts, some owners are reporting several repeated failures. You can't replace defective parts with more defective parts and expect a resolution to the problem. Though I have not had brake failure yet, and with only 27,000 mile, it is always on my mind while driving. I don't feel safe when driving my vehicle, hence the low mileage. Chrysler needs to be held accountable and a recall needs to be issued for all makes/models/years having this issue.Read more

This failure narrowly resulted in a serious accident when my vehicle applied the brakes without warning and dropped the speed to below 40 mph on the Highway! I was extremely fortunate not to have been closely followed by a large semi at the time. Apparently this was a known defect and on going problem since Ford issued SSM 50328 to cover various vehicles built from 2013 to 2021 (Includes 2013-2017 Fusion/MKZ). I was able to drive the vehicle safely on back roads to a local Ford dealer where the problem was addressed. I submitted a request for refund to Ford and advise them of this continuing safety issue that should have been addressed with a properly expanded recall. Ford denied my request and tried to avoid the ongoing safety issue claiming it was an "out of warranty" matter.Read more
