Incident date: Feb 4, 2023
After about an hour of highway driving the steering becomes sticky or notchy feeling. This is both with lane keep assist on and off. It can be hard to keep the vehicle moving in a straight line at highway speeds.
Incident date: Feb 3, 2023
I took my car in for routine oil change and was told that my car had needed the PTU transfer case unit fixed. They told me it was leaking and it would soon stop my car from operating. I looked into this and found the same recall was done for other vehicles but not mine! I am sure my vehicle was missed during this recall because the exact same is happening to my car!!!! This is NHTSA Campaign ID 1
... 4V002000. This recall was done on 01/06/2014. There are also other recalls I believe my vehicle is eligible for that my vehicle was not recalled. This process should be a priority to get correct and it is embarrassing I am having to go through this. I hope someone is able to remedy this as I believe this is a manufacturer defect, that I deserve to have compensated for.Read more

11/14/2022: WHILE DRIVING at 75mph, a battery icon appeared in the hybrid info system on left of dash. Immediately after the engine icon appeared, a message that said "shift to P to Start" appeared in the the dash info. The Pacifica image included a red plugged in charging cord and the message "service charging system". Vehicle was pulled to the shoulder and put in park. Attempted to restart vehicle unsuccessfully for 15 minutes. After vehicle started, it was driven to the closest dealership that had a qualified PHEV tech, Frontier Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Lubbock TX. The error codes wouldn't repeat at the dealer. Dealer informed that, in speaking with Chrysler a part remedy had been determined but would require lead time to obtain part. On 12-08-22, the dealership informed us the repair had been made and vehicle was ready for pickup. The code found and repaired was POE15 and electric heater lock up. At pickup, the vehicle had not been fully charged. When driven out of service, the echarge was 24% and it wasn't depleting during operation. This was abnormal. Drove the vehicle from Lubbock to our residence in Taos, NM. Part of the drive includes a canyon, with two lanes, blind curves and zero shoulder. If the vehicle were to lose power in the canyon due to this issue, there is a HIGH PROBABILITY OF CRASH, INJURY, and/or DEATH. The vehicle repeated the issue on 12/12/22, 12/30/22 & at least two more times that are undocumented. Vehicle was towed from Taos to Larry H Miller CJDR in Albuquerque on 1/11/23. We were notified of recall while at dealership. My family's and my lives are at risk due to this recall issue.Read more

2022 my wife's 2016 engine began making a noise. This was a known safety problem with the engines but a recall was never issued. Instead there was a lawsuit against Hyundai in 2020 and 2021 in which consumers were compensated for their cost, or received a new engine. However, her engine went out in 2022. She did not get that benefit. Hyundai paid for a portion and she had to pay a portion for a n
... ew engine. This should have been a recall! Now currently 2022 & 2023, Hyundai's alarm is defective which is causing theft, and car jackings. This too is a known safety issue and nothing is being done unless she pays $550 for a security feature to be added to the vehicle. This is a problem! Hyundai should pay for this! She read that the Kia and Hyundai vehicles at issue don’t come with an anti-theft device called an immobilizer, which uses a chip to authenticate a key against the car’s electronic control unit. An immobilizer, which can be found in most modern cars, prevents the vehicle from being started if the key is not detected. It’s also been reported that some of the windows in the affected vehicles may not be connected to the cars’ security system, meaning they can be broken without the alarm being triggered, per the case. It stated, these vulnerabilities have caused thieves to view Kia and Hyundai vehicles as “easy targets,” especially after a viral social media trend highlighted. Now State Farm announced they are not accepting new Hyundai customers. More than likely my insurance is going to increase and the value will decrease.I need this governing body to govern and have Hyundai right their wrong. Issue a recall and do what is best for the consumers and not the company! She has been in contact with Hyundai National Consumer Department and it appears that her communication efforts aren't successful. She purchased her first Hyundai Excel in 88.Our immediate family have since purchased four Hyundai's. DO THE RIGHT THING! ISSUE A RECALL. FROM A CONCERNED HUSBAND!Read more

The rear brake pads on my 2018 Mazda 3 have worn out prematurely, thinning to as little as 2MM in just 40,000 miles, while my front brakes are still 6MM. Brand new brakes are 10MM. I have heard the exact same complaint from the owner of a 2016 Mazda 3, which is the same generation. In the majority of cars, front brakes are supposed to wear our faster than the rear, so this is definitely a problem
... . Further evidence of the problem is shown in the fact that my car tends to steer a bit left when pointed in a straight direction, even after getting alignment perfectly done, consistent with the fact that the driver's side rear brake pad has worn out the fastest. In short, the rear brakes seem to be clamping excessively or sticking to the pad when the brake pedal is disengaged, most intensely on the rear driver's side but also on the rear passenger's, thus wearing out brake pads prematurely, reducing fuel efficiency and creating excess environmental waste. This can also be a major safety hazard if the brake pads thin out well before a driver is expecting or if the brakes engage unexpectedly.Read more

I was the first car stopped at a red light of an intersection coming off the freeway, in far right lane. When the light turned green, as I released my foot off the brake and not even stepping on the gas the RPM surged with full force accelerating without my foot on the gas. I stepped on the brake but it would not engage - it locked. The steering wheel locked and only had minimal movement, as much

Only when the wheel broke did the car’s brake re-engage and I was able to put it into park. The vehicle has not yet been inspected and is available in my driveway for inspection. There was no warning or indicators leading up to this. In fact, the vehicle had just been inspected for an oil change at the dealership three weeks prior. This accident would have caused a fatality, mine, if not many others if there had been cars ahead of me or cars had been in the intersection or if the wheel did not break in time before merging with the freeway traffic. I am fearful to drive this car again. There were absolutely NO indicators leading up to this or right before it happened. The car simply took over and there was no control of it.Read more

... ll screens were dark) blocking a traffic lane. Was stranded there for over 45 Minutes until AAA/Highway Patrol were able to obtain a tow truck. Car was towed to dealer and found out it is a known issue with the 48V Alternator System in 2019 Model Year Audis. Found out alternator is unavailable due to supply chain issues and car will be out of service for at least 4 weeks! Per research on Audi Forms, this is a known issue and Audi should be recalling these vehicles and performing the KNOWN software update (TSB Software Update 27-22-45 - Version 527) on all 2019-2020 Audi vehicles with this system. I was in fear of being rear-ended and injured - and to find out this should not have happened is very disappointing. Please require Audi to recall these vehicles and update the software so others are NOT put in this same life threatening situation - and then forced to wait until the vehicle can be fixed - currently at least 4 weeks! It has happened to MANY others - just check the Audi Owner Forums on the internet. Thank you for your consideration.Read more
