About a year ago, I was driving at speeds of approximately 10-15 mph when my car braked and immediately brought me to a dead stop despite no obstacles being present in the roadway. It appears the automatic emergency braking system malfunctioned. Had there been a car behind me, it likely would have caused an accident. On August 15, 2025, I was driving on the freeway using the adaptive cruise cont
... rol when traffic in front of me slowed, engaging the automatic emergency braking. Traffic in front of me cleared almost immediately but my car was still very rapidly decelerating. I pressed the gas pedal, but the vehicle continued to bring me to almost a complete, immediate stop on the freeway (I had been traveling at 70-80 mph prior to the stop). I feel incredibly fortunate that I did not end up in an accident due to the traffic behind me and that no one was injured or killed. I pulled off onto the shoulder when it became clear that I was not going to be able to quickly regain control of my vehicle. Driving a vehicle without being able to properly control it was an absolutely terrifying experience. I was bracing myself for impact from behind as I desperately tried to regain control and accelerate back up to the flow of traffic. I am certain that this malfunction will result in deaths if not addressed. On August 23rd, 2025, I was driving on a highway at approximately 60 mph when the car in front of me slowed in preparation for a right turn off the road. I had disabled the CMBS feature at the beginning of my drive, yet the car still braked without me hitting the brake pedal. It was not an immediate, abrupt brake as I had experienced in the other two previously described incidents, but it was still highly unnerving to feel another loss of control of the vehicle, especially since the system was supposedly disabled.Read more

I am writing to express my serious concern and frustration regarding the unresolved recall on my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 (VIN: [XXX] ). Despite multiple visits to multiple dealerships, I was repeatedly told that the necessary parts to complete the recall repair were on back order and instructed to “wait for parts.” No interim solution or assistance was ever offered. As a result of this
... delay, my vehicle broke down without warning, leaving me stranded on the side of the road. This created a hazardous situation and significant disruption to my day. To make matters worse, I had to pay out of pocket to have the truck towed to a repair shop in an effort to get it operational—an expense I should never have incurred given the known recall and repeated attempts to have the issue corrected by Chevrolet. I have been a loyal Chevrolet owner and have always trusted the brand for its quality and dependability. However, this delay and lack of proactive support is causing significant inconvenience and eroding that trust. This situation is unacceptable for several reasons: 1.Safety Risk and Recall Obligation: Chevrolet acknowledged the defect by issuing a recall, yet I have been forced to operate a vehicle that does not meet your own safety standards for months. 2.Repeated Service Attempts with No Resolution: I followed the proper process and visited an authorized dealer multiple times, only to be turned away each time with no solution beyond “wait for parts.” 3.Breakdown and Financial Loss: The vehicle failure and subsequent towing expense are a direct consequence of Chevrolet’s inability to provide timely parts or alternative accommodations. Check engine light came on. Chevy traverse lost power and would not shift past 45 miles an hour. Towed to Phelps Chevrolet Greenville NC with same results of no repair or diagnoses after they kept it for three weeks. Neither dealership would provide a loaner vehicle. Vehicle is under extended drivetrain and bumper to bumper 100,000-mile warranties with no remedy for the issue. We are afraid to drive the vehicle but making payments on it. My personal code reader purchased from Wal-Mart scanned a P2715 Pressure control solenoid D stuck on and P0700 transmission control system. However, the dealerships would not accept the information for repairing the vehicle saying they were showing as past check engine light stored codes. Invoices for both unresolved incidents are attached. Vester applied for changing the transmission fluid with our warranty but unsure if it was completed.Read more

Please refer to Part 573 Safety Recall Report 25V536. This report seeks to bring to the attention of the NHTSA that additional General Motors, LLC Chevrolet Corvette Models NOT INCLUDED in the Recall Report are virtually identical in design and having the identical safety issue. THE ISSUE: Excess fuel spilled into the fuel filler pocket drains directly into the left-side fan equipped air intake. T
... he air intake is equipped with a thermostatically controlled fan that remains running after engine shutdown if the engine temperature trigger threshold is met. While Safety Recall 25V536 limits the issue to those models equipped with a "radiator/fan combination", to exclude the "fan only" models (Stingray Z51 Equipped in particular) from the recall due to not containing an "ignition source" is short-sighted to state the least in my opinion. Any electric motor is an ignition source as power (typically 12VDC in an automobile) is delivered through "brushes" to an armature that excites the magnetic fields between opposing magnets. The assumption that the addition of a radiator (essentially a sealed cavity have no spark potential) creates an ignition source combination is short-sighted at the least and criminally negligent at best. I am the owner of a 2025 Stingray with a Z51 package. After reviewing 25V536, I conducted a test on my vehicle by pouring water into the fuel filler pocket and monitored where that water went. The test results made it clear to me that to exclude the Stingray is a mistake. Video test results are attached.Read more

All vehicles, regardless of VIN should be repaired given that the problem has been diagnosed as identified in both the 2020 and 2025 SBs.
