A catastrophic failure occurred in the continuously variable transmission (CVT) of a 2022 model year vehicle at approximately 81,000 miles. While driving on the highway, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power; the engine revved rapidly without transferring any power to the wheels. The failure was diagnosed by an authorized dealership service center (documented on Repair Order #349133). The diagno
... sis confirmed that the transmission failed due to an internal component breakdown, stating: "FOUND SEVERAL METAL DEBRIS FOUND WHEN DRAINING AND STRAINING FLUID." The manufacturer (American Honda) has since confirmed in writing that the root cause was a manufacturing defect, effectively acknowledging that the failure was not due to wear, tear, or maintenance neglect. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealer. The component is available for inspection. This premature, total failure of a major powertrain component on a relatively new vehicle poses a safety risk due to the sudden loss of power while operating at highway speeds.Read more

I have an urgent and safety issue with my 2020 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. I was driving on road from work. When I was approaching a red light coming to a complete stop. I pressed the clutch to engage the gear into neutral. Suddenly I heard a loud snapping sound, I lost all pressure to the clutch and almost hitting the vehicle in front of me because I couldn’t get it out of gear. Nearly causing mu
... ltiple car accident with all the cars infront and behind me on the road. I had to shut off the engine so the vehicle would come to a complete stop. Vehicle was towing into the closest Dodge dealership (Sahara CDJR in Las Vegas). After 2 days in the shop, the service advisor just called me and stated that it’s the clutch pedal push rod that snapped and the entire pedal assembly need to be replaced, which would not be covered. I asked him and he confirmed it’s not a common thing to break at the low miles (14741 miles on the vehicle) but I need to reach out to Dodge Customer Service to see if it would fall under “defective parts” claim. Please help me open a case and take care of this issue. It is a very serious safety issue if the rod would just snap like that during normal vehicle operation. This could have needed very badly. Thank you!Read more

My leased 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is included in Recall #68C (NHTSA #25V741000) for a battery fire risk when parked. I contacted my leasing company, Chrysler Capital, to request assistance because the ve

Their representatives repeatedly refused to escalate or document my case and stated that they “can’t do anything,” including refusing to provide a supervisor’s ID or written confirmation. I am requesting that this issue be investigated and that Jeep and Chrysler Capital provide appropriate lease termination or safety accommodations.Read more

We purchased a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Caligraphy Vin [XXX] in July 2025. During a road trip the following week when we got on the interstate and my wife turned on Cruise Control she began getting notifications on the front panel telling her to keep her eyes on the road and drive safely. These notifications were showing up during the entire trip (300 miles) every 2-5 minutes. We contacted the
... dealer and have had it in the shop five times now for them to trouble shoot and try to determine the issue. We also opened a case with Hyundai Corporate which they closed indicating they could not find a problem. I have spent multiple hours riding with my wife, reviewing the owners manual, and researching online in a attempt to resolve this issue. During driving test we have experienced a situation where the Message “Take Control of the car the system is shutting down. Shortly afterwards the Cruise Control shuts down and the driver briefly looses control of steering and acceleration. This is a very dangerous situation at 70 MPH. During my trouble shooting I feel I have narrowed down to issue to the Driver Assist System and the Forward Attention Warning system on our Hyundai. Online research (Reddit) indicates numerous other users are experiencing the same issue across multiple Hyundai models. While driving my 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S, I experienced a sudden loss of regenerative braking, which caused the vehicle to take much longer to stop than normal. On initial brake application, deceleration was greatly reduced and required substantially more pedal travel and pressure to bring the vehicle to a stop. A “Regenerative Braking Failure” warning appeared in the instrument cluster. At the
... same time, the vehicle’s power output dropped. The display showed multiple warnings, including Electrical Vehicle System Fault (wrench-and-bolt icon) and Reduced Power (“turtle”). A message appeared stating that the vehicle would shut down soon. Additional messages indicated that the Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems were disabled, further reducing braking support and collision avoidance capabilities. I was able to stop safely, shifted to Park, and powered off the vehicle. After opening and closing the driver’s door, I waited for all displays and indicator lights to turn off completely. A distinct mechanical clunk was then heard, consistent with the sound of high-voltage contactors disengaging. When I restarted the vehicle, all warnings cleared, and it drove normally again. This event created a potential safety risk due to the unexpected loss of regenerative braking, reduced propulsion power, and temporary disabling of FCW and AEB systems. The issue has not recurred, and the vehicle has not yet been inspected by the dealer or manufacturer.Read more

On October 25, 2025, Passport Nissan in Alexandria, Virginia diagnosed my 2016 Nissan Rogue with fault code P17F1, which indicates a known CVT transmission failure. The technician documented drivability issues including hesitation, slipping, and pulsing during acceleration. The diagnostic sheet recommended full CVT replacement. The dealership
... submitted a warranty request to Nissan’s Diagnostic Validation Team, and internal documentation shows a full transmission job totaling $6,996.44. Nissan classified the failure as warrantable under goodwill. Despite this, Nissan later offered only a partial valve body repair with a 50/50 cost split and a 3-day deadline. This contradicts Nissan’s own Technical Service Bulletin, which states that if fault code P17F1 returns after reprogramming, the transmission must be replaced. The dealership’s own technician confirmed the failure was warrantable and recommended full replacement. This misrepresentation minimizes a known safety defect and compromises consumer protection. The issue has been confirmed by a dealership technician, documented in service records, and submitted to Nissan’s internal warranty team. The vehicle experienced hesitation and loss of power during acceleration, which posed a safety risk while driving. This reflects a broader pattern of concealment and avoidance of full liability for transmission failures across Nissan vehicles. RE: Continental Pro Contact GX SSR MOE 245/40 R19 98 H M+S Original factory installed Mercedes E450 tires. I had 3 blowouts from hitting small potholes on 3 different tires in 1.5 years. These are complete immediate blowout going completely flat on impact. It could have very dangerous if I were driving a little faster and fortunately there was no other damage to the car or other persons.
... In each case, I hit a small pothole, and the tire blew out, flat to the ground. Because these are run flat tires, on the first 2 incidents I was able to drive home and to the dealer for tire repair/replacement. The third one was so bad that I could not drive all the way home and had to get towed. But all 3 incidents were scary and dangerous because of the sudden blowouts. The tires were not repairable and had to be replaced. I believe that the Mercedes Tire inflation instructions is unsafe and they should put more air in the tires to protect from the rim cutting into the tire when hitting a pothole. The driver's door "B" pilar placard says the "cold tire pressure: Front 41 psi Rear 47 psi". Mercedes repair shop inflates the tires according to the Fuel Filler Door decal that says " Front 36 psi, Rear 36 psi." That is a big difference in pressure -- as much as possible 11 psi under pressure. I believe these run flat tires failed because of too low of tire pressure when hitting the pothole. If the tires were inflated with the higher pressures as on the door pilar, the wheel rim would not have been able to cut into and through the tire wall because the higher tire pressure would prevent the impact of the rim cutting through the tire sidewall. I believe this a serious safety issue and Mercedes should be inflating this type run flat MOE tires to a much higher pressure and should not use the low-pressure instructions that are on the fuel door label. There should be a recall and repair instructions to increase run flat tire pressure on Mercedes E class vehicles.Read more

My vehicle recently displayed code P0302 – Misfire Cylinder 2, which has been diagnosed as coolant intrusion into the cylinder. The recommended repair is a replacement long block, along with new hardware and seals. This is a known issue with certain Ford engines — one that Ford
... previously covered under warranty or service campaigns prior to 2023. My vehicle has fewer than 60,000 miles, yet it has suffered a major engine failure clearly tied to a manufacturing defect. Ford and even U.S. government agencies are aware of this widespread issue. Unfortunately, Ford is now refusing to take responsibility for a defect they have long known about. It’s extremely disappointing to see such disregard for loyal customers. This experience has completely eroded my trust in Ford. It’s clear why so many Americans are turning to foreign manufacturers — companies that take accountability and fix known problems instead of ignoring them. I will never purchase a Ford again, and I will be sharing my experience so that others are aware of how these issues are being handled.Read more

I purchased this vehicle with 18,000 miles on the odometer. I am not a reckless driver, and primarily commute to and from work on paved roads. At 29366 miles, I had to have one of the rear shock absorbers replaced after it started making a strange noise. Again at 49596 miles, both rear shock absorbers had to be replaced. I recently took this car back to the shop with 86000 miles on the odometer a
... nd once again the shocks are having to be replaced. This is a known defect with Hyundai's self leveling rear shocks. The first two incidents were covered under warranty, but Hyundai is refusing the replace them this time because it is no longer under the manufacturer warranty.Read more

In summer of 2023 my car 2011 Sonata Hybrid quit running and would not start. My granddaughter had used the car to go to Oklahoma City for a tennis tournament. Her life was at risk because she was coming back in the evening and was alone. The next day I had the car towed to Ada Oklahoma and then called dealership and had it towed to Ardmore, Oklahoma where I had purchased the car new in 2011.
... The car was at the dealership for 6 months. The vehicle was inspected at the dealership. There were no warning lights or symptoms of the failure prior to the breakdown. I am an 80 year old female that knows nothing about a car engine and they talked to me like I was a mechanic. I still do not know why my claim was denied but was told that I did not have a claim. I had to rent a car to get to work for several months and was out the money to have my car towed 2 times. Not to mention the strain of being without my car for 6-7 months. I finally just gave up until I read about all these other people having trouble with Hyundai also.Read more

The second row captains chairs are able to be buckled when any booster or car seats are in the seat. The seat belt buckle is too far flush into the seat, so when any car seat/booster seat is in the seat, the buckle is inaccessible and blocked and the seat belt is not able to be used.
