I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM AUDI REGARDING THE RECALL ON MY TAKATA PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFORMING ME OF THE RECALL AND SUGGESTING THAT I AVOID USING MY FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I AM APPALLED THAT AUDI WOULD MAKE SUCH A STATEMENT KNOWING THAT THEIR CUSTOMERS USE THE VEHICLES AS FAMILY CARS, TYPICALLY HAVING SOMEONE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE ABS CONTROL MODULE HAS FAILED AND I'VE READ THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH ALL 2009 MODELS FROM AUDI TO VOLKSWAGEN TSI ENGINE MODELS. THE VEHICLE HAD ABS STEERING AND BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON WITHIN THE CLUSTER. WHEN BRAKING THE BRAKES LOCKED UP CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL. THANKFULLY I WAS NOT GOING FAST IT DIDN'T CRASH INTO ANYTHING.

THEY SAID THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. THE POLICE WERE CALLED TO THE SCENE AND I HAVE A POLICE REPORT. THE POLICEMAN DROVE THE VEHICLE OFF THE LAWN AND HE ALSO HEARD A GRINDING NOISE.
