I was within the town limits so I was driving slowly. When I approached the first stop light in town I saw that it was red. There were of three or four vehicles stopped at that light. At that point I was probably only going 5mph. I took my foot off of the gas pedal and put my foot on the brake to make a slow stop. Instead, the car accelerated rather quickly. I drove up on the sidewalk to avoid hitting anyone. At that point the front passenger side of the car hit & snapped a pole. The car did not stop immediately upon impact. It stopped acclerating and came to a stop about 10 feet past the pole. I am not sure how fast the car was moving when it hit the pole but I was only going about 5 mph when I put my foot on the break. I would estimate the distance my car traveled from the moment I put my foot on the break until the car stopped was approximately 100-120 feet. It felt like the car went into the cruise resume mode and was trying to accelerate to a predetermined speed. I had not been using the cruise control that day but that is exactly what it felt like. There was one other time this year that the car lunged forward without using the gas pedal. It stopped quickly for me and I just assumed that I had hit the cruise resume button, although I also hadn't been using the cruise that day. The insurance company took the car to an impound lot two hours away. I am sure there has been no inspection and my insurance has not informed me of the status of having my car totaled or repaired. Because of the age of the car, and damage, they think it will be totaled. Yes, my safety and the safety of anyone near me was at risk. The car malfunctioned and the fact no one was hurt was miraculous. There were no warning messages before this accident.Read more

Each shop documented that all four tires showed dry rot and cracking and advised immediate replacement due to risk of tire failure. The vehicle was delivered with unsafe tires that pose a serious risk of blowout or loss of vehicle control, endangering both the driver and others on the road. DOT date codes and photos of the cracks confirm the condition of the tires at the time of delivery. This complaint is being filed so NHTSA is aware of the issue and to request investigation into Carvana’s sale of vehicles with dry-rotted, unsafe tires.Read more

The product is the Maxi-Cosi Emme 360 Rotating Convertible Car Seat (Order #434991006), purchased through Nordstrom. In May 2025, I contacted Nordstrom (at their Woodfield/Schaumburg, IL store and via customer service) as well as Maxi-Cosi directly. Nordstrom declined to accept the return in-store and directed me to pursue the issue through the manufacturer warranty. I then opened a case with Maxi-Cosi customer service and provided all requested information. Despite multiple follow-ups from my side, Maxi-Cosi stopped responding entirely and has not provided a resolution. We are left with a defective car seat that cannot be safely used. I am submitting this to NHTSA both to document the defect and to request assistance in holding the manufacturer accountable for addressing this safety concern. Prior issue with drivers seatbelt occurred with car in 'park' and ignition on, seat belt unexpectedly pulled occupant tight against seat. Mgr says today there are no faults in the system and no data to be collected. Even with video proof the service center lack resolution, and Mgr wanted me to pick up the car. I insisted they keep for further testing as it may need extended observation to replicate issue. I feel unsafe. My safety was put at risk due to the non-start incident happening late at night in a low lit area in Elizabeth/Newark not a good area potentially stranding me in an unsafe situation. A starting issue and an alarm malfunction, both of which are critical. This is the second safety issue in a brand new car, within 6 weeks of owning the car. Additionally, the contact experienced hair loss that stopped once the contact stopped driving the vehicle in the month of June. The contact sought medical assistance, and the lab work showed low level of iron. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer was informed of the issue. The dealer performed a detailing of the vehicle to resolve the issue; however, the contact continued to experience the symptoms while driving the vehicle. The contact hired Nal East Environmental Services(2021 Bridgetown Pike, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053) to perform a test on the vehicle. The test was performed, and the contact was informed that extremely positive levels of Volatile Organic Compound(VOC) was found on the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the issue, and the Doctor's letter, stating that the VOC presence in the vehicle had made the contact sick, was sent to the manufacturer; however, no assistance was provided. Approximately 2 months ago I noticed a faint gasoline odor when I entered our garage. I thought that it might be due to a recent re-call on my Honda Gold Wing which involved the fuel system. The motorcycle was repaired by the dealer, returned and I never rode it until yesterday. The smell went away. I filled the Corvette, probably 3 weeks ago and the odor returned. ... outside but the odor continued with the Corvette inside, in its normal space. I checked the floor under each vehicle, diligently, and thankfully no liquid fuel was apparent. Parking the Corvette outside, the odor went away and perhaps the same day, when leaving an evening event, I placed some folding chairs in the "trunk" of the Corvette and noticed the odor. The following day, I went to the Chevrolet dealer I normally have repair work done to make arrangements to bring it in for inspection and did so on September 8th. A few days later, I was advised that there was a leak at the top of the left tank and that the tank would have to be removed and re-sealed at the top where there is an entry area for a part involved with the fuel system. The dealer advised that they thought there was a re-call for this matter but found that either there wasn't one or it expired. I forget which. My search on GM's website for recalls as well as yours, doesn't indicate that there was one BUT this is really a serious matter and the fix is expensive. I bought the vehicle from the original owner, who is a retired GM engineer for their manufacturing plants. It has not been in an accident.Read more

About 3-4 minutes later while I was sitting in my car waiting, my tire exploded. It shook my car and was so loud that people ran out of the building I was in front of to see what happened. At this point, I had a tire indicator come up saying something was wrong. When I walked around my car again, I saw in one of my tires the cords came out and split in middle of the tread causing separation, and the tire still had air in it. It also scratched my paint around the tire. When I had help come, we put my spare on and got it home, and we took it to a tire dealer the following morning. They all were shocked at how new the tire was and what happened. Everyone is so glad I was parked when it happened and upon research, this is a common occurrence with this brand and type of tire anywhere with 1000-10000 miles on it. My vehicle is less than 6800 mi and the specialists even said the tire had basically no wear and was faulty. On top of that, Pirelli warranty essentially refused to process anything and the dealer that THEY told us they would work with, Pirelli kept hanging up on them. They would not give me a name, let me speak to a supervisor, or give me a call back number should the call “disconnect” again. The dealer was able to comp the tire through their management, but even then, the issue of the faulty tire remains, and based on what I felt, I don’t want someone to get hurt having this happen to them while their car is in motion.Read more

While driving southbound on [XXX] near [XXX] in Mississippi, the advanced driver-assistance systems (lane assist and radar) did not operate as designed. At highway speed, the vehicle gave no warnings, no steering correction, and no radar-based intervention prior to a severe crash. This failure of the safety systems placed my life at extreme risk. ... ized dealer, and there were no warning lights or fault messages prior to the incident. After the crash, nearly all airbags deployed, but the crash data recorder shows abnormal timing information. The Bosch Event Data Recorder (EDR) captured a force of 292 G’s, confirming the severity of the impact. Dash camera footage also documents that the systems failed to intervene before the collision. My primary complaint is not about the airbags but about the malfunction of the lane assist and radar systems and the manufacturer’s refusal to provide the requested reports that would verify the failure. When I requested the radar and lane assist reports from the manufacturer after their inspection, they admitted they would not provide them. Instead, they stated there was no defect. This is unacceptable because the data clearly exists, and withholding it prevents owners from knowing whether these safety systems can be trusted. The fact that these systems failed in a critical moment and the manufacturer is unwilling to disclose the information raises a serious safety concern not just for me, but for all owners of this model. I can provide supporting materials upon request, including dash camera video, the full Bosch crash data report, and correspondence with the manufacturer. My concern is both the malfunction itself and the lack of transparency. Without access to the radar and lane assist data, owners cannot verify that the advanced safety systems they rely on are functioning properly. While driving the vehicle to the dealer, the failure occurred again, and the vehicle failed to accelerate above 10 MPH. Due to the failure, the contact took the vehicle to a dealer, where the vehicle was diagnosed with engine failure. The following day, the contact called the dealer and was informed that the engine had not failed, and a knock sensor test was performed which restored the engine function. The contact then took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the engine was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. The vehicle was taken back to the original dealer, where an appointment had been scheduled. The dealer performed a series of oil consumption tests and monitored the oil consumption every 1,000 miles. After four consumption tests, the contact was informed that the engine was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. The contact took the vehicle back to the independent mechanic and was informed that the oil consumption had worsened, and that the vehicle had consumed 4 quarts of oil in less than 5,000 miles. I just purchased this vehicle. I found that the fuel filler neck has a leak which is a fire risk. I was initially promised that the part would be replaced in a week, but recently found that the part is back ordered because this is a prevalent issue with 2025 models. ... minimal risk but gas has been leaking in my grass and causing it to change colors as well as paying more for gas despite being sold on great gas mileage. To make matters worse worse the vehicle is starting to sputter and has less than 2K miles. I feel that this should be a national recall before someone gets hurt. The contact owns a 2014 Jaguar XJ. The contact stated while driving approximately 40-55 MPH, the vehicle lost power steering assist, and then stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

1) Electronic emergency brake goes on repeatedly when attempting to put vehicle in gear. 2) Speed control has coasted to a very low speed while on the highway several times, on its own with no vehicles in front of me. 3) Numerous other “glitchy” electrical issues exist. #2 cylinder is misfiring caused by coolant leaking into engine block. There is a technical service bulletin 22-2322 describing the issue and the recommended repair. To solve the issue the short block & head gasket must be replaced

The emergency brake malfunctioned transmission in park malfunctioned yes its available for inspection i was almost ran over by the truck or pinned between truck door and hand rail. I have not had vehicle inspection done yet dealer had been notified and awaiting there response. When i re entered the vehicle dash displayed warning emergency brake disengaged placed vehicle into drive to move forward
... and then dash displayed emergency brake engaged and placed vehicle into park automatically which made it nearly impossible to move. Prior to this event truck was parked in my driveway the night before then the following morning truck was in the grass it had rolled there. When connected to any trailer the dash displays check trailer connection and the running lights on passenger sides of the trailers are off and or going dim and bright.Read more

Safety System Malfunction message appears on dash. Passenger side air bag goes on and off while driving. Whole system chimes and random messages flashing on screen constantly. At times system doesn’t recognize that I have my drivers side seatbelt buckled. So system keeps chiming cars Stanton. Random messages flash on dash. Traffic jam assist (3 cars symbol) unavailable and image flash on
... dash and does another chime. Vehicle has given random warning beeps when reversing 2 times since these issues started and has done automatic breaking both times as I was trying to reverse. Issues happen randomly and started about 300 miles ago (2 weeks or so) seem to be getting more frequent in past few days. I was trying to check today for open recall and was surprised to not have any for this issue / vehicle. I have not yet called the dealership but plan on doing so this week. This “Safety System Malfunction” and all the chimes, flashes, beeps, screen messages and the automatic vehicle responses is VERY dangerous!!Read more
