The problem was a turbocharger in my 2019 Audi Q5. The repair was done in January of 2023 by Audi North Houston / Sewell (17815 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77090, ph. # 281-586-1000). The cost was approximately $3,556. The replacement of the turbocharger was the same repair in the turbocharger class settlement (Kimball vs Volkswagen Group of America Inc., Case #XXX), but my vehicle is not apart
... of the settlement class vehicles. I verified the settlement class vehicles on the turboclasssettlement.com website, and I called their 855-779-6685 number to double check the settlement class vehicles. Their rep, Leisha, indicated, "The 2019 Audi Q5 is not a settlement class vehicle." The Audi Q5 vehicles identified in the settlement are for 2011 - 2014 model years. I had the same problem in my 2019 Audi Q5. Please help!Read more

1.We were driving down a 4-lane divided road and the car abruptly and rapidly slow down at a cross road causing the car behind me to hit their brakes just barely avoiding a collision. There was no reason for this, there wasn’t a stop sign or signal just, a cross road. 2.Audi setup my wife’s phone so that she could use her phone and leave the key at home, guess what? The app(?) stopped working
... while she was shopping and when she came out the phone couldn’t open the door. Fortunately, she left her key in her purse and was able to operate her car. What would have happened if she was out in the wilderness or in an unsafe place when this happened? This issue could have put her well-being or life in jeopardy. 3.Driving down the highway with driver assist working is enjoyable until the road dips or the lines have faded and disappear for a “short” distance and then the car swerves. Again, this is putting lives in jeopardy. 4.Driving from Atlanta to my home with a car full of grandchildren my app stopped working, why? We decided to get off the highway and My Audi couldn’t figure out where a high voltage charging station was. Audi didn’t tell us we were low on power nor did it tell us where or when we needed to charge. So, we’re in the mountains with little power left trying to find an internet signal to find a charging station. The closest was at a private Country Club in the mountains, we went there but it was only 110v, no help. We finally found a small town with what I think was a 240v station and we had to wait 6-hours to get enough charge to make it back home. This could have been a real disaster. 5.My Audi App was restored by magic a day later. How and why did this happen when I struggled to get it to work when I had my grandchildren in the mountains? 6.My wife’s app still won’t login. The login just disappeared after working for 3 weeks. She’s made multiple attempts to get logged back in to no avail. 7.We have now been told that we can’t joRead more

While driving, my 2016 Hyundai Sonata’s engine suddenly started knocking loudly. I stopped immediately and found the engine oil was very low without any prior warning. The vehicle experiences sudden, uncommanded braking on clear roads due to a malfunction in the Audi Pre Sense system. In one visit (August 7, 2023), the dealer reduced the Pre Sense sensitivity without creating a repair order or performing diagnostics. At other times, service advisors stated the vehicle was 'operating normally' or refused to record the concern unless it could be duplicated during a short test drive. On August 25, 2025, the dealer finally documented my complaint as 'car would brake randomly' and performed an SVM reconfiguration, but the issue persists. Neither GM or my dealer has been able to tell me which oil to run 0w20 or 0w40. This vehicle's engine failed just outside of the current recall dates. With the expansion of dates, I can have my motor inspected and be covered under the extended year and milage warranty given to other owners. I am requesting NHTSA to expand the existing recall date. My back window shattered when it wasn’t even touched by anything
Incident date: Oct 27, 2025
I bought my 2018 Ford F-150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost, 4x4, and 10R80 transmission as a Ford Blue Certified truck from a Ford dealer at about 92,000 miles. Putting the truck into gear to pull out of the parking spot it "clunked" into drive, which I mentioned to the salesperson who was with me shrugged it off as "it's probably because it's been sitting for a while." The problems started shortly after
... purchase and have gotten way worse over the next 34,000 miles. It jerks hard shifting in and out of 3rd, 5th, and 8th gears. Oftentimes it skips 2nd and 4th gear. In 7th gear it feels like a "false neutral" where the engine revs with no power before slamming into a higher gear. The worst of the safety concerns are that on the highway in 9th or 10th gear it will suddenly downshift to 1st causing sudden deceleration and pegging the RPMs to the top end of the gauge, and when decelerating to a full stop the transmission will stay stuck in 7th gear leaving me unable to accelerate into traffic, until it decides to slam back into 1st gear after a few moments. The wrench light also comes on. This is a huge safety risk, and many other have experienced serious near-miss incidents or accidents such as rear-end collisions or losing control and their vehicle ending up off the road. I took the truck to the dealer initially and they programmed the transmission for an "adaptive drive cycle" relearn which masked the underlying issues for a little while that ended up returning much worse. Their latest diagnoses quoted me $5,071 to replace the CDF drum / clutch cylinder for the known root cause of a faulty design of the inner sleeve shifting out of place - which has since been redesigned. Ford has issued TSBs about this issue (22-2428, 23-2250). This matches NHTSA investigation PE22015 on 1.3 million F-150s for downshifts and lockups with over 138 complaints to date. We urgently need a full RECALL for this design flaw - it is endangering lives on the road and costing Ford customers.Read more

The tailgate light has gone out on my 2018 Dodge Durango R/T. Researching online has lead me to discover that this is a known issue that is costing customers thousands of dollars due to a known design flaw. The tailgate light goes out and usually leads to the brake lights and backup camera going out. I do not know when the brakes lights may glitch or go out which can cause an accident. I asked the

... ford stated they would be able to diagnose it for $150 then repair and labor costs would come after. Well they never looked at my vehicle Friday so they told me to bring it back the next Monday I brought it back they said they would diagnose it a few hours later I received a call stating they “think” it’s my AWD module located under the passenger seat but they would not know if that was the problem until they got under the seat and that would cost me an extra $500 for them to inspect it. From research I have been doing they should have been able to tell me if it was exactly that module or not by plugging a J2534 into the main module and using the FDRS application that all ford dealers use. From more research I have been doing this is a very common problem with 2021 ford broncos concerning the AWD module. The faulty AWD module could be caused from a faulty battery which was a recall on my specific vehicle they stated they tested my battery that day but I’m not sure if they actually did because I tested it at home and it was reading low and I just had that battery replaced by ford in March of 2025. As well a faulty AWD module in a 2021 Bronco Sport could be related to a recall, especially the recall for the powertrain control module (NHTSA Campaign 25S26) which can cause AWD system faults. Additionally, there was a separate, earlier recall (Customer Satisfaction Program 21B19) specifically addressing a faulty transistor in the AWD module itself. My car is was not a candidate for this recall but I believe it is apart of it as well as others who are experiencing this problem.Read more

I am very concerned that this could happen again or to other drivers under more dangerous conditions. Please investigate this matter as it may indicate a serious defect that could affect others.Read more
