They stated that the lifters needed to be replaced and it would not be covered. As well as a rental vehicle not being covered, so both items came out of pocket. As I drove home from the dealership after they assured me everything was great, the engine light came on. Brought it back into the dealership to fixed again! This time it was the catalyst converter. The system did warn me after filling up with gas that there was an issue. I feel that this could have gone really bad if we had been in lake Seneca, Killington or driving up to Bangor. It is the whole idea of it not working because of a single bad grounding wield that shuts all the traction control off to get stuck out in very little snow... Driving down the inter state lost power and RPM raised, oil light came on and said to shut off. We checked the oil it was fine. Got back on the road then a knocking started and the vehicle shut off. The dealership advised replacement of the power steering rack and pump and stated the vehicle was unsafe to test drive due to its condition. During the same inspection, the Audi dealership also identified additional serious safety-related defects, including a brake system condition where the brake pedal slowly sinks toward the floor when pressure is applied (indicating a braking system performance failure requiring brake fluid exchange and further diagnosis if unresolved). The inspection also documented multiple additional mechanical and safety concerns requiring extensive repairs, including suspension and drivetrain defects and other conditions indicating the vehicle was not roadworthy as sold. The vehicle remains available for inspection. The contact owns a 2015 Audi Q5 equipped with Firestone Tires, Tire Line: Firehawk A/S, Tire Size: P235/55/R19, DOT Number: 1RBE793E9. The tires were purchased in 2022. While the contact’s wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle, and the rear driver’s side tire had a blowout. The contact's wife was able to pull over to the side of the road.

No warning lights were illuminated. A passerby assisted the contact's wife in changing the tire. On another occasion, while the contact’s wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver’s side front tire had a blowout. The contact changed the flat tire once the vehicle was driven back to the residence. Upon inspection, the contact noticed that the inside of the tire, where the bead of the tire meets the rim, was cracked. The contact noticed tire crazing all over the tire, and that the inside of the tires showed deep cracks. The contact stated that the other two tires showed the same failure. The tire manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The tire failure mileage was approximately 130,000. The vehicle failure mileage was unknown.Read more

My father's Honda CRV, which I was driving, suffered a computer reset due to a low voltage drop. This was, in turn, due to a failing fuel injector. ... d many others. There were no warning signs prior to the reset. After calling the dealership and reporting these issues, they still advised me to drive into the dealership for service. Upon doing so, they diagnosed the failing fuel injector. At this point, I had done research on the issue and found hundreds of similar reports concerning Honda CRVs and models with the 1.5L Turbo engine. Despite warranty extensions for some vehicles, the dealership claims that our VIN is not covered under the warranty extension. This is obviously a manufacturing fault and a safety issue. Please investigate Honda and require them to, at a minimum, extend their warranties to all affected vehicles with this defect. INCIDENT SUMMARY: On [XXX], I brought my 2019 Audi e-tron (VIN: [XXX] , 70k miles) to Audi Salt Lake City for Safety Recall 93U9 (High Voltage Battery Module). Vehicle was functioning normally with no warning lights or electrical issues. IMPROPER RECALL COMPLETION: The dealership's technician (Chris Miller, [XXX] ) documented in the service notes: "I FOUND THE GROUNDING STRAP FOR THE REAR MOTOR WA
... S NOT INSTALLED AND WAS TUCKED UP BETWEEN THE MOTOR AND THE COVERS." This proves the technician failed to properly reinstall the critical grounding strap during recall service, leaving it disconnected in the high voltage system. IMMEDIATE FAILURES AFTER RECALL: Following the recall service, multiple critical failures occurred: Voltage converter failure (part #4KE-907-171-C) Battery charging malfunction (limited to 100 miles range vs normal 200+ miles) Multiple stored fault codes and dashboard warning lights Rear drive motor faults Parking brake system failures All failures are consistent with loss of proper grounding in a high voltage EV system. SAFETY CONCERNS: The technician drove my vehicle 55 miles during service (odometer: 70,651 IN to 70,706 OUT). Why didn't they notice the warning lights during this excessive test drive? Operating a high voltage EV with improper grounding creates risk of electrical fire, shock hazard, and component damage. How many other vehicles at this dealership had recall 93U9 improperly completed? DEALER RESPONSE: Dealership attempted to charge me $2,089 for repairs caused by their incomplete recall work. When I disputed, the General Manager threatened to call police if I didn't return the loaner vehicle. No repairs were ever authorized by me. INVESTIGATION REQUESTED: Please investigate Audi Salt Lake City's recall 93U9 completion procedures and quality control. While driving at highway speed and the adaptive cruise control engaged, the vehicle applied the brakes without driver input. The vehicle slowed gradually over several seconds even though there was no vehicle, pedestrian, or obstacle present in front of the vehicle. The braking occurred without any warning, alert, or collision indication and resulted in an unexpected reduction in speed, creating a risk of a rear-end collision from following traffic and on one occasion road rage (which has occurred due to this condition) as the driver thought I "brake checked" him. The vehicle has been inspected by the local Kia dealership (Spitzer Kia of Mansfield) and they could not replicate the condition. Kia has also been notified and a case number assigned (25773402) but with no resolution. This issue has occurred multiple times under similar highway driving conditions, indicating repeatable uncommanded braking behavior. Additionally, KIA issued a “Voluntary Service Campaign” for 2024 Kia Telluride’s on July 31, 2025 for the same vehicle behavior. Unexpected braking at highway speeds creates sudden speed differentials and increases the risk of rear-end collisions, even when deceleration is gradual. The driver has limited ability to anticipate or prevent the event. No warning lights, audible alerts, or collision warnings were displayed. CONCLUSION The vehicle exhibits repeatable false or uncommanded activation of the automatic braking system during highway driving, consistent with a potential defect in the AEB/FCA system. The backup camera issues present themselves in several different ways and are described below. 1) Scrolling view (think of an old time movie, where the image "scrolling" through the screen 2) Black, but not completely black, includes what appears to be interference (sometimes white pixels flash randomly throughout the screen) 3) Off color (almost like a color inversion), darks appear light, light colors appear dark, similar to how things when developing film in a dark room 4) Similar to #1 but instead it freezes, halfway through a scroll. Often times the picture is split, with the bottom on the top, and the top on the bottom, and a clear black line in the middle Opening and closing the trunk, tapping the camera, turning the parking sensor (and camera) off and on do not solve the issue when it happens. Neither does changing from R to P on the transmission lever. Issue always requires a restart, rarely does an immediate restart fix the issue. The tracking lines are also distorted when this happens. When not malfunctioning, camera system works perfectly. Recently, I came across NHTSA ID: 25V900000 which almost exactly describes my issues but my car is not included. I did recently ask the Dealer to look into it during my 40,000 mile service. They stated that no codes were in the system and they could further troubleshoot but the intermittent nature would likely result in no findings unless the issue is present on site.Read more

This problem is extremely sporadic, and often remedies itself after car shut down, and sometimes require that the car sit for a period of time. Original quote for the part to become available was 45 days from December 17, 2025. Then supplier canceled the part order so the dealership’s parts department placed another order with an ETA of March 3, 2026. Supplier canceled the order again and now there’s no ETA but the part has been ordered. This is the 2nd major issue we’ve had. June 28, 2024 the transmission went in this Jeep with less than 35000 miles on it.Read more
