The auto highbeam system has an inherent safety issue. When active, it may turn on the highbeams automatically when there are oncoming close vehicles, thus blinding the oncoming drivers with the potential of causing an accident. The system also may not even activate the highbeam lights when there is no oncoming vehicles and the road is dark. I have great safety concerns regarding this system. I ha

But sometime between then and my current 2024 edition, they have changed the technology in the system to cause it to be a safety hazard. My fuel pump has been failing multiple times over the last 4 months. It has left me stranded in the middle of intersections, freeways, and highways on multiple occasions that has cause back up traffic and areas of the road completely closed until I can move my car. I have had this car diagnosed twice with a certified mechanic shop and a master tech with these issues and it is confirmed both times
... that I need a new fuel pump. When contacted Alfa Romeo/ Mike Ward dealership for review, diagnostic scans, and part replacement they told me it could be a couple of weeks until my car can even be looked at. Both my shop and the dealership have told me that this part is on back order with no ETA and no possible way of getting that part so my car can be functional. These issues first appeared when I would accelerate from a complete stop and it would take a few seconds for my car to begin moving. This slowly progressed into my check engine light, auto start/ stop error light, electric throttle error light, and front crash detection light have all turned on and remained on for about 2 months until the car began dying in the middle of the street. This had come to be so servers that the car is now no longer drivable and each time it is driven it dies within a few minutes of driving.Again since there is no ETA there is no way for me to fix my car, this is my only mode of transportation and it has left me ain multiple dangerous situations and now with no transportation now that Alfa Romeo is refusing to make the parts needed for repair.Read more

At any point in time when driving, the dashboard could turn on all error and warning lights, which leaves the vehicle unable to accelerate above 15mph. The errors indicate issues with parking brake, steering, stability control, engine, hill start assist, electronic throttle control, and autonomous emergency braking. After a period of time for the vehicle being turned off, most of the warnings and
... errors will clear and the vehicle will only show the check engine light when started and in operation, however, at any point in time that the vehicle is in use while driving, the same exact situation occurs. The vehicle was towed to the dealership four times for this issue. Initially on 1/25/2024 where the technician "reset codes" per the invoice. The next occurence was on 3/27/2024 where the vehicle was disabled completely, unable to power on to even get it into gear. Again, software errors were cleared and they sent us away. Now, in October, we had to have the vehicle towed in twice - 10/2/2024 where the technician "reset codes related to radio" and most recently on 10/16/2024. Again, same exact issue, they reset codes again and said the vehicle was fine. The most recent occurrence on 10/16/2024 is the one where the safety concerns happened. I had just got onto I-270 S, began accellerating to 45mph (heavy traffic in the AM) and the dashboard lit up. At this point, I lose the ability to accelerate the vehicle, nearly getting hit from behind. I was able to get the vehicle over to the shoulder and get to the next exit to get off the interstate. I had to drive on the shoulder as I couldn't accelerate. I was unable to accelerate above 15mph and it took me nearly an hour to get home - just a 2-mile distance. There is no way to tell when this error and issue will occur - there's no pattern to what we're doing when it happens - and further, if we're driving the vehicle again, we don't want to be put in a situation where we can't control the vehicle on an interstate.Read more

... ith a fuel pump and electric steering campaign currently released. From prior involvement with many heavy truck campaign recalls, I know the O.E.M. Is required to have adequate repair parts to satisfy the released safety recall. In the previously noted Honda recalls this requirement is ignored by the manufacturer placing safety concern on the public, stressing dealers, and forcing vehicle owners to operate defective vehicles because parts to repair are not available, nor is there an expected date when they will be. Responses like “on manufacturer back order “ is not acceptable for a released National Safety Recall. Honda Corporate needs to be held accountable and owners need to be compensated for their inconvenience. Maybe restrict Honda from selling more vehicles until ALL safety campaigns are completed. I bought new and have 59,000 miles on the car. During the past year or two, when I get to a stop sign and about to cross or turn into a busy road (that has no traffic signs for the cars traveling on that road), the car hesitates when I step on the gas pedal, then after a second or two, the car lurches forward (abruptly) while screeching the tires. My analysis is that there is something about mak
... ing several complete stops in short succession (as a driver would do in an attempt to inch into a busy intersection of fast moving traffic in order to get a better view and position the car for a smoother merge) which triggers the car to stall for a second or two. I say this because it does not happen at any other types of intersections. The danger here is that a second or two is crucial in avoiding a crash when you are trying to merge into a gap in traffic. Then after hesitation, the car lunging forward in an uncontrolled manner can cause an inexperienced driver to loose control of the vehicle during a turn. There are many similar complaints filed with NHTSA and posted on online owner forums. Many owners have reported to Honda, but Honda’s response is that this is how the car is supposed to drive. The lug bolts that hold the tires on are swollen in place and cannot be removed without breaking them. As a result I cannot get the tires off of my vehicle. To remove the tires I have to take the vehicle to a dealership where they have to break the bolts to get the tires off. The jeep dealership told me this was a common problem with jeeps and Chryslers because the factory installs lug bolts with
... caps on them which are prone to swelling and prevent the tires from being removed. If I had gotten a flat tire I would have been stranded as the tires cannot be removed due to the swelling of the bolts. This is obviously very dangerous as it results in people being stranded on the side of the road because the tire cannot be removed to put on a spare. To fix this problem and prevent it from reoccurring I now have to buy 20 new lug bolts that are not capped and take my car to the dealership where they have special tools to break the lug bolts and remove the tires. This is also causing financial hardship as the new uncapped lug bolts cost $204 and the labor to remove the tires is $312. These capped lug bolts are defective because they are known to be prone to swelling and locking the tires in place. As such this is a dangerous factory defect and these capped bolts should not be used.Read more
