my 2020 High Country Deluxe 6.2 L87 GM Motor: At Every Cold startup, the engine sound is erratic and sounds like metal on metal for internal combustion for approximately 2 seconds until the newly designed two-stage, variable displacement vane-type pump oil sump pump. The biggest issue that I have with this design is, with a 2 stage pump, depending on the engine rpm, according to GM is Possible
... lower psi to pump the oil to the top end Valve assembly. In addition, the OW/20 oil IMHO is too thin and does not have the Viscosity to lubricate the motor properly. GM Fix (for 2021 -2024 L87 6.2 motors was to change the viscosity to 5W/30 Supercar Synthetic oil, add a leaf to the owners manual to dictate the oil viscosity change and changing the oil cap from 0W/20 to 5W30. 10-speed Hydra-Matic 10L80: Hard upshifts and downshifts intermittently and confusion of proper gears. There is a TSB regarding this specific Valve Body and torque converter issues. Finally: When deactivating DFM Random cylinders as needed by ECM-TCM-BCM, the lifters are staying in the collapsed state and cant return to full height resulting in bent push rods, rocker arm damage, Camshaft damage, crankshaft damage and Catastrophic engine Failure. Incident date: Aug 4, 2025
The third brake light, located on the tailgate of the 2021 Jeep Gladiator, has ceased to function due to a failure within the printed circuit board (PCB) inside the light housing. This issue has been confirmed by a third-party repair shop, which has noted that the PCB appears to be broken or damaged, rendering the brake light inoperable. Notably, the vehicle's instrument panel does not provide any
... notification or alert regarding the malfunction of the third brake light, which could lead to a significant safety risk. This failure impacts the vehicle's ability to properly signal braking and deceleration to other motorists, particularly from the rear. Given that the third brake light is a critical component for road safety, this issue poses a significant risk of rear-end collisions, especially under conditions where visibility is compromised. When the third brake light fails to illuminate this reduces the overall visibility of the vehicle’s braking signals, particularly in situations where the tailgate is obscured or when the vehicle is loaded. The lack of a functional third brake light increases the likelihood of a rear-end collision, putting both the driver and other road users at risk. The failure of the third brake light due to a malfunctioning PCB appears to be a common issue among 2021 Jeep Gladiators. The problem has been reported by multiple owners, and the root cause appears to be related to the design or manufacturing of the printed circuit board within the light assembly. The third brake light has been inspected by a third-party repair shop, which confirmed the malfunction of the PCB. However, despite the issue being identified, there has been no alert or warning displayed on the vehicle's instrument panel. There is no indication within the vehicle's diagnostic system that the third brake light is inoperative. Given the potential safety hazards and the recurring nature of this issue I respectfully request that the NHTSA conduct an investigation.Read more

Prior to midnight on 9/25/2025 I stopped at a Sheetz in Stephen"s City , Va to charge my 2022 Kia EV6. Upon pulling into the charging area I discovered construction fencing around the area with the chargers removed. I then drove to the other side of the store and parked next to the building to take advantage of the lighting as I scanned my phone app for alternative chargers in the area. SUDDENLY,
... within the blink of an eye, my car lunged forward at MAXIMUM speed. It came to a sudden stop , prior to hitting the glass and brick wall of the building. I was stunned. My first reaction was to try to go into reverse to back away from the building and then I noticed people coming toward me. I rolled the window down and heard them ask if I was ok , if I needed help calling 911, and then they began to insist that I climb down out of the car as they feared it would catch on fire. I did not understand what they meant initially, until I realized I was LOOKING DOWN at them. With assistance, I got out of my car and realized it was impaled upon the metal barrier post located in the middle , front of the parking space. The local sheriff dept responded and after putting me through all the DUI tests/exercises realized that I , indeed , was sober and not responsible for the incident. The deputy called Clem's Garage/Towing who arrived 30-45 min latter with a standard tow truck - I tried to explain that tugging at my car from the rear would not release it from the pole ( the rear of the car pointed toward the pavement while the front pointed toward the sky) and that continuing to tug would only do more damage (I wanted to prevent my car further damage). He eventually called another company who arrived with a large crane-like vehicle that lifted my car off the pole. The top portion of the pole was missing and apparently stuck in my car . My car was then towed to Clem's holding yard.Read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding the handling of my vehicle recall and repair process at Kia Killian Road in Columbia, South Carolina. Vehicle Information: - Year/Make/Model: 2020 Kia Soul - VIN: [XXX] - Registered Owner: [XXX] Timeline of Events: - My vehicle was brought to Kia Killian Road for recall repairs related to recalls 21V259, 21V259A, and C
... S2306 concerning the engine and starter. - The starter was replaced as part of the recall work. Despite this, the vehicle remained at the dealership for over a month and a half without resolution. - I was then informed I would need to pay approximately $1,200 to replace the ignition, even though there had been no issue with the ignition prior to the recall service. - The ignition was replaced at my cost, but I have since been informed that my vehicle is still not repaired due to an alleged electrical issue. - At the time of this complaint, my vehicle has been at the dealership for more than 2.5 months, and I have been given inconsistent explanations and no resolution. Concerns: - The dealership appears to be tying unrelated repairs to the recall, causing unnecessary costs and delays. - I have been without the use of my vehicle for an extended and unreasonable period of time. - I have not been provided a loaner vehicle or alternative transportation despite the lengthy delay. Requested Resolution: - Immediate completion of the recall repair work at no additional cost to me. - Reimbursement of the $1,200 ignition replacement charge, as the issue arose only after recall work began. - Provision of a loaner vehicle or compensation for transportation expenses incurred during the 2.5 months my vehicle has been out of service. - Written clarification from Kia corporate as to why this delay has occurred and how Kia will ensure resolution. This matter has caused significant hardship, and I am seeking urgent assistance from Kia Consumer Affairs, NHTSA, and INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.Read more

The primary component that failed is the turbocharger system, which has malfunctioned five times since October 2024. Subsequent failures occurred within 24 hours of service completion. These breakdowns created dangerous roadside conditions, especially during high-traffic hours and in areas without safe pull-off zones. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed multiple times by the dealership’s service department. Each turbocharger replacement has failed within days, and the vehicle is currently awaiting its fifth turbocharger in two months. The dealership has also confirmed damage to the catalytic converter and now suspects motor damage. The vehicle has been inspected repeatedly by the dealership, which is in contact with Ford Motor Company. However, Ford has not provided a permanent solution or acknowledged the root cause. No inspections have been conducted by police or insurance representatives at this time. Prior to second breakdown; the FordPass app displayed an oil life warning at 0%, which was reportedly reset by the service department, raising concerns about system accuracy. The vehicle has also triggered diagnostic codes P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) and P0234 (Turbocharger Overboost Condition), both of which are consistent with the mechanical failures observed. Additionally, Manufacturer Recall 25S76 was acknowledged, but when asked whether the fuel injectors had been inspected, the technician stated they would only be replaced if a fuel leak or smell was present. This reactive approach contradicts the intent of the recall.Read more
