The contact owns a 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving approximately 60-75 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and lost motive power. The driver was able to pull over to the side of the road. The check engine warning light and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the residence. The contact stated that the v
... ehicle was able to be restarted the following day, but the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an Auto Parts Store, where it was scanned, and a DTC for low fuel volume was retrieved. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000( Fuel System, Gasoline), which the contact related to the failure; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the part was not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.Read more

Electronic control module failed due to the cup holder failing. It is available for inspection. Safety was put at risk because the vehicle randomly slammed itself on the brakes, when in drive the vehicle was moving backwards then abruptly braking and moving forward. The problem was confirmed by the dealer. There were warning lamps for the following: drive start control malfunction, parking brake u
... nable to disengage, hybrid system failure, check engine, parking support brake malfunction. The vehicle was showing as being in both park and drive at the same time. The dealer determined the cupholder allows water condensation to leak into the center console compartment where exposed high and low voltage wiring is contained as part of electronic modules causing the vehicle to malfunction. The vehicle was put in gear while throwing the malfunctions, however, the electronic components should not be exposed and stored within a compartment where liquids are known to be stored (cup holder) in a way that allows water to leak into them. This could happen while the vehicle is being driven and cause serious issues. This same issue happened once before several months back before the cup holder started to fail, so regardless if the cupholder is working properly, it seems water can penetrate this area of the vehicle and cause issues because there is no barrier between the electronic modules/wiring and the cup holder drip tray. The service department actually stated to me that they see this issue all the time on the Sequoias and Tundras.Read more

I received a manufacturer recall notice (Recall 93C / NHTSA 25V-586) for my 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia concerning a defective rear fuel line quick connector that may leak fuel and cause an engine compartment fire. The recall notice specifically warns that a fuel leak could lead to a fire, yet I have been advised to continue parking the vehicle outside and avoid driving it if possible. I rely on this vehicle for daily transportation and have not been offered any safe alternative or clear timeframe for repair. In addition to the recall, my check engine light has been on for several weeks, and the “A!” warning light appears intermittently. These indicators began appearing after I received the recall notice and may be related to the same underlying defect. The dealer has not inspected the vehicle because parts are unavailable. The issue has not been reviewed by the manufacturer, insurance, or any third party. The vehicle is currently at my residence and available for inspection upon request. While driving a 2015 Toyota Rav4 (w/AWD) the vehicle's steering wheel started to shake and the vehicle lost acceleration. The check engine, AWD, and traction (trac) control lights illuminated. After pulling the vehicle over I tried calling AAA. After about 30 minutes, the warning lights went out. I decided to try to drive it home. After about 5 miles the same thing happened. However, after slowing
... down the problem went away. I called a Toyota dealer and requested a recall service (to fix the power steering assist). They scheduled the appointment and I dropped the vehicle off. When the vehicle was ready I discovered that they only performed the recall for the battery terminal. They informed me that there was no other recall for my VIN number. This problem should be on recall as I've researched and discovered many other complaints similar to mine. These situations like mine, and many others, are safety issues and could easily lead to injury and/or death.Read more

on 10/27/25 my son was driving car (2011 Mercury Milan) and light came on dash and car suddenly lost all power steering. Luckily car was able to be driven to side of the road when steering went out. I went to the Ford recalls website and it indicated "Epas steering efforts" was on the website as requiring free service. This recall is specifically for loss of power steering in car. Electronic Powe
... r Assisted Steering (EPAS) systems provide variable steering assistance but can experience issues leading to increased steering effort and loss of control. Upon checking with dealer, this was to be fixed under safety recall bulletin 15S18. This was initially repaired in 2015 under that recall bulletin. This did not fix the issue as the car requires a power steering gear replacement for same issue. Warranties on this recall are not being honored and this is deceptive as the final repair did not correct the problem. Federal law dicates warrenties do not expire on safety recalls. Upon checking the ford recall website, Ford is now indicating it can be fixed under a "Customer Satisfaction Program" to cover the original safety recall which has already expired. Now I am faced with almost a $3k repair on a safety recall which was never fixed and not being honored by Ford.Read more

Description of the problem: The front trunk (“frunk”) of my 2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper is missing the interior emergency release button and light. This component, which was present in earlier Model Y versions, allows a person trapped inside the frunk to open it from the inside. In my vehicle, there is no visible button, glow-in-the-dark handle, or wiring harness for this feature. What compone
... nt or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The malfunction involves the frunk emergency release mechanism (illumination and release button assembly). The component appears to have been omitted during manufacturing. The frunk and all relevant panels are available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Without an interior release, a person—especially a child—could become trapped in the front trunk with no way to exit, posing a risk of suffocation or heat-related injury. The frunk is large enough for a small child to enter and can be closed from outside the vehicle. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The issue was confirmed by Tesla Service, which stated the vehicle was “built as designed” without the interior emergency release. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? Yes. The vehicle was inspected by a Tesla Service Center representative. No other inspections have been performed. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No. There were no warning lights or error messages. The absence of the emergency release was discovered immediately after delivery. Assessment: The removal of this safety mechanism may violate the intent of FMVSS 401and presents a potential safety hazard.Read more

My 2017 Ford F-150 (VIN [XXX] ) has serious safety issues that Ford has failed to address. The 10-speed transmission has been replaced three times by Ford dealerships and still hesitates and slips between 3rd and 4th gear, annd the plate now tings especially in cold weather. The truck bed has separated from the body near the wheel wells, leaving visible gaps to the ground and causing the tailgate

Ford has refused further assistance despite documented repairs. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
