I believe the transmission is to blame as many others have stated. Our Tucson, without notice, quickly accelerates which is sometimes a scary situation. This defect can easily cause an accident. It happens often. It also sometimes lags when pushing on the gas and then accelerates as if I was in "sport" mode, when in fact I'm not. Hyundai has told me that there's nothing wrong with the vehicle so t

When driving vehicle it randomly goes into Limp mode and gives an “electronic throttle module error”. This in turns decreases the power of the vehicle significantly and causes you to move over lanes as to not cause traffic. This issue is common for a lot of Alfa Romeo Guilia owners.

My 2010 camaro has the 3.6 v6 engine in it. I had no warning lights or issues with the car. I got in my car and started to drive on a highway the engine exploded on me and I swerved out of control luckily being able to stop the car on the right side of the road. I had the car towed to my house where it sat for months unable to be driven. I have been doing more and more research trying to figure ou
... t why it blew up. Me and my passenger could have died that day with how badly the force of the engine through the car out of control. And the chunks of steel that flew from under my car almost killed 2 kids in a car behind me. And upon talking to an associate who is a gm certified mechanic but he doesn't work for a dealership his diagnosis was the timing chain went bad prematurely and snapped and set off a chain reaction making the motor explode. During my time researching I have discovered this issue is already known by general motors for this engine having premature timing chain wear down. I have pictures of other 2010 camaro owners complaints of this issue. I also am aware gm has faced several class action law suits due to this issue. They put a recall out on the engine but specific vin numbers. So when I called gm customer service asking why I can't get my car repaired and my engine replaced they told me it was due to not being a vin number they included in the recalls even though they are aware it is the same engine. The recall should be for all vin numbers for this engine. My safety as well as others safety was put at risk for a known defect. This issue could happen to anyone with this engine and people could be killed due to it and those that survive the situation when it arises get left without a working vehicle. Now my car sits in my driveway without an engine. There should be a mass recall for all the engines. We recently received an 'interim' recall notice due the potential for fire caused by a flaw in the tow hitch wiring harness. The letter recommended parking the car 'away from other vehicles and people', and nothing else, as Kia has not yet determined what a permanent remedy would be. This is really not acceptable, as we need to use our vehicle and this requires occasionally parking it in location
... s where it cannot be kept separated from other vehicles or people. In addition, this remedy only reduces the potential damage to others or their vehicles, it does not do anything to reduce the potential damage to our vehicle. I took the vehicle to our local repair shop and they were able to disconnect the 'ground' wire from the tow hitch wiring harness quickly and easily, so that no power will flow into the wiring harness and it will not catch on fire. Given how easy this was to do, Kia should have offered this as a solution, or should be willing to reimburse owners for having this change made to their vehicles during the 'interim' recall period.Read more

This small Ford 2022 truck is a brand new first year of its type Hybrid, with electrical regenerative braking. The 2022-2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid system attempts to use electrical regenerative braking at speeds that are too low to generate a braking effect. When creeping forward in stop-and-go traffic below 10 mph, depressing the brake pedal has zero effect on slowing the truck down. Numerous ti
... mes I have been in situations that required what I might refer to as sensitive, gentle or careful braking where one might "drag" on the brake to creep forward in traffic or parking. That is nearly impossible and NOT consistent with the brakes on the Hybrid Ford truck. Depressing the brake pedal with a heavy foot does engage the hydraulic brakes to finally stop the vehicle. But it also does it in a very sudden way, causing passengers items in the back seat or bed to be forced forward, as in a sudden crash. This has been a problem since I took delivery of the vehicle and I’ve had many close calls in traffic thanks to this defect. My wife hates to ride (and will not drive the vehicle) in city driving situations. No warning lights are associated with this problem.Read more

When leaving to go to work, I pressed the button on the gear shift to put the car into reverse and then drive. I heard something click into the cupholders as I drove. It was the gear shift button. The plastic actuator button fell off completely. It would not fit back in. I think the plastic broke. I continued to drive to work, but when I got to work, I could not put the car into reverse.
... I was able to pull into a space, and put it in Park (which is a different button on top of the gear shift). When I returned to my car, it was impossible to move the car out of park. Manually putting the button back on, or taping it into position did not work. There was no override (I called the dealer to verify what I should do). Trying with my fingers to push the keypad inside did not work. I had to have the car towed to the dealer. The tow truck driver had difficulty also, as he could not put it into Neutral to avoid damage. There is a bolt on the transmission underneath to take it out of gear, but the dealer said that requires a special aftermarket tool, not provided with the vehicle. It was impossible to get the car out of park by trying to insert fingers or other objects into the hole where the button had been. This was literally a walk home scenario. With this plastic button broken - the car was stuck in a parking garage in park indefinitely. Only the tow truck driver's persistence of jamming different kinds of objects into the gear shift for over 35 min allowed him to finally be able to activate the switch with the button missing. It's at the dealer now, but I was basically stranded with no ways to override this and get the car in gear. This seems like a concern (and a fairly simple root cause to solve with a more robust button - or a minimum some kind of accessible alternative method to get out of park)Read more

Engine recently began making a loud ticking sound, that everyone who heard it asked, "What's wrong with your car?" I purchased the vehicle new 5.5 years ago and it presently has 38,475 miles on it. The dealer determined the noise was due to a loose oil pump bolt under the timing cover. It was a 10.5 hour repair to remove a bolt and reapply lock-tite to it and then reinstall. Had the repair not
... been performed the bolt could have vibrated all the way out and caused internal damage to the engine, which I believe is a safety issue. The repair cost was $1,813.68. Per the dealer this was the first Giulia model that they had to service for this issue, but they had serviced several Stelvio models that were newer but shared the same engine. In today's automotive market such repairs should not be necessary on a vehicle with low mileage. The brand offers a 4 year / 50,000 mile warranty, but not a separate powertrain warranty. In hindsight, it appears the brand does not have a great deal of confidence in the durability of the powertrains it builds.Read more
