I have been to their locations approximately 10 times due to this issue, and I feel there is never a resolution. It has been evident each time I visit Mercedes Benz that they don't care about me as a client. ... overed up to 60,000 miles not the 100,000 that comes with the car), and 2) despite acknowledging that they engine had a defect, KIA did not issue a recall to fix the problem. Instead, they issued a performance improvement notice. KIA also acknowledged via a phone call on 3/10/23 that they have mailed these notifications to the previous owner rather than to me. I have on a number of occasions conducted recall searches on www.nhtsa.gov/recalls which does not list the known engine defect! It seems underhanded for KIA to recognize a defect and instead of reporting it as such and issuing a recall, they hid the problem behind a deceptive "performance improvement" label. It's not a performance improvement!! It's a known defect that if not fixed, it will result in a blown engine and COSTLY bill for the owner!!! The NHTSA SHOULD IMMEDIATELY ISSUE A RECALL AND REQUIRE KIA TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE ENGINES IN THESE CARS. I have never even been to this private home or on that street recently. I have contacted BMW over 40 times. They keep repeating the same response which is “just don’t use navigation apps. There is no fix available. There may be a fix by summer. Only use the BMW onboard navigation”. But they do not understand that it is all affecting all GPS apps. Not just navigation apps. But any apps that use GPS. Again, if I need 911 then my location is completely off by miles because of their faulty IDrive 8. Emergency services will never find me. ... y 03/03/2023 sometime after Ford Services inspected it, now sometimes the vehicle still drives in reverse after shifting to drive until i press my brakes, look to see it is in drive, which it is, then, press the gas pedal again and it moves forward finally as it should. This occurrence is random but mostly an issue when having to reverse on a slight incline out of a parking position, which makes it more dangerous. This is not a one time occurrence but ongoing until i replace the transmission.
