We’ve personally had this happen three times, all in cases where we were in live traffic on an active roadway. One case in particular our dog was in the trunk and we had to pull over in the middle of traffic while the dog thankfully stayed seated in the trunk area. I believe this happens because it’s very common for the key fob to be in a pocket or purse while operating the vehicle, where it’s very possible for the buttons to be pressed inadvertently. In my opinion, the key fob should not be functional while the car’s ignition is on. No other car I’ve ever owned has had a key fob whose buttons still work while the ignition is on. On [XXX], I was traveling from Georgia to California in a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT 2.5L Hybrid with approximately 219 miles on the odometer, using cruise control set at 73 mph and in the ECO mode. I'd stopped for gas and upon returning to the highway [XXX]) the vehicle, still using cruise and in ECO mode, experienced an extreme reduction in power and the check engine light illuminated. ... ver to the shoulder and shut down the engine; restarted the engine and tried to resume driving while changing to normal mode and not using cruise control. The check engine lights was still illuminated and the vehicle would not accelerate and could only travel at about 30 mph. Pulled off the highway at the next exit and had the vehicle towed to a Ford dealership in Birmingham AL. At the dealership, I informed the service advisor about the check engine light and that the Ford app indicated a problem with the high voltage battery coolant pump. During the initial troubleshoot, the mechanic relayed to me the following three potential faults: the high voltage battery cooling pump, a pump in the transmission, and a fault with the battery electronic control module (BECM). The two pumps were replaced and the BECM fault cleared, see attached service invoice. I picked up the vehicle on [XXX] and drove back to Georgia without issue. The odometer currently indicates 869 miles with no issues. Since the vehicle had limited power and was unable to accelerate, especially on an interstate, I consider this type of failure a safety issue. ... ed to Portage ford in Portage Wisconsin and they told me that there is an advance notice recall but would not diagnose my car. They told me that they cannot do anything because the recall is just an advance notice and they are unable to open a repair order on it. They told me that because they could not open a repair order they could not verify that it was in fact the recall and told me that I would need to purchase a new engine completely. My oil had been recently changed and the oil levels were checked and they were good as well as the consistency. The recall is exactly word for word what happened but they told me the engine would be $6,000 and the labor would be 25 hours and likely another $6,000 so they qualified my vehicle as a total loss and that they wouldn't be able to give me more than $1,000 for my trade in. They said the Kelly blue book value was only a little under $8,000. My vehicle has a little over 50,000 miles on it only and was just out of powertrain warranty by maybe a month or two. This forced me into having to purchase a new car. They told me that if they found that it was related to the recall once they were able to open a repair order they would cut me a check for $5,000 because my car is obviously worth more than $1,000. I had just replaced the battery, front brakes and tires. No body damage or interior damage that would qualify the vehicle as lower trade in value. CVT transmission has gone out and it is a road Hazzard. The vehicle doesn't accelerate, jolts, and sputters. There was no warning or reason for a well maintained car under 97k mileage to be having this issue. Upon further investigation it is a common problem with Nissan but nothing is being done to get these cars fixed and off the road before there are bigger problems.

Cadillac Cue Radio spider web cracked. After doing further research I have found that GM has been aware of the issues and has still yet to do a recall or work with people on replacing them at no cost as the radio screen is something out of the consumer hands. Realizing I was not going to make it to Herb Chambers, I pulled into a lot to call for AAA (thankfully our 3 year daughter wasn't with me). AAA Tows the car to Herb Chambers. This time they said it was the spark plugs and Herb Chambers Honda charged close to ANOTHER $1,000 for the SAME issue that should have been fixed in August of 2023. After my shift at work. I got in my 2019 ACURA RDX and closed the door. Right when the door closed the rear tailgate glass shattered. Leaving a big hole in the glass on my drive home.
