Causes are bumps, potholes or also icy/slick surfaces while regen braking the vehicle. Even one wheel encountering such a situation will immediately lead to loss of regen brake on all 4 wheels and shifting pedal pressure point. On Jan 19, 2024 Fisker published a statement that this (or maybe a similar) issue was resolved with v1.10 of their software. I had my car delivered with v1.10 and am now on v1.11 (1/2) and have encountered loss of braking on both SW versions. Online tickets with Fisker support and talking to Fisker service advisors trying to get the vehicle investigated have yielded no result. She informed me that she had made countless attempts to reach a service team member for follow up on an inspection. On December 18th 2023 I got in contact with Joseph to inquire as to what his inspection found. He stated “That he did not see an oil leak and the car hand no oil.” I explained to him that was my car had been recently serviced at Jiffy Lube on August 1st 2023 at 44,664 miles for an oil change. Per Hyundai the oil should be changed every 3,000 to 5000 miles which I had not exceeded as my car had 46863 miles at the initial time of the service inspection that he performed. He then said “Jiffy lube did not put any oil in the car then” which was impossible. I made contact with the Jiffy Lube location who performed the oil change to get the record of my last oil change as Joseph had a differing opinion. I was informed that in fact the oil was changed and they could provide video proof if necessary. I then communicated this information to Joseph as well as provided a copy of the last oil change. Both this model and several others were included as part of a recall, and the car was taken into the shop and “repaired” by past owners, yet the power steering failed again. There is no active unrepaired recall because the car was brought in before and worked on by Ford mechanics who then cleared the recall after fixing the car because they deemed the issue to be addressed. However, the issue is still ongoing. It is not fixed at all. I purchased this car last year, and if I would’ve known this would happen or that the car had so many issues I never would’ve bought it. I’ve taken the car to several dealerships that have said the problem is a complete failure of the steering gear, yet when I take it in to ford dealerships they state that the “extended warranty is expired” and that they can’t do anything about the vehicle needing a recall. I almost lost my life, I have a car that I cannot drive and have not been able to drive ever since the incident occurred. Why am I being punished because my car has been refused to be repaired, and because Ford has refused to provide me any reimbursement for the problem? Brake line bracket failed. It appears that the bracket is made out of plastic and is a common failure for BMWs. The failure causes the line to rattle against the lower body and eventually break. Started the car, dash had multiple warning lights for "drive start control system", "ev system malfunction" and "systems not available" (all safety systems were off). Took car to dealer, they said the car stored no codes, reset the car, took it home. Two days later- same thing happened but also this time the car had NO HEAT. ... e my mother and sister home (which was 90 minutes- a VERY long time to be without heat). Thankfully it did not snow which would have made the car undriveable due to the inability to defrost the windshield. Car went back to dealer (ziegler subaru of Kenosha WI), they have stated (thus far) two valves are bad and need replacing. i am in several online forums with other Solterra drivers, some of which are experiencing the same issues and being told the cause is the same valves, or the compressor. Lead times to acquire these parts are 2+ months.
