This acceleration occurred even though my foot was not on the gas pedal, making the car difficult to control and putting me at risk of colliding with other vehicles or objects. The unpredictability of these incidents is deeply alarming and could lead to serious accidents if not addressed promptly. I purchased this vehicle in December 2023 and have maintained it according to the manufacturer's recommendations. However, when I inquired about the timing belt at the dealership, I was assured that it had passed inspection. Despite this, the recent malfunctions suggest a more serious underlying issue that needs immediate attention. Crucially, there were no warning lights, messages, or other indications of a problem prior to these incidents, underscoring the sudden and unexpected nature of the issue. Owning a 2017 Chevy Trax that has be in the repair shop 6 times since October 2023 to fix the heater fan blower motor that keeps burning up, leaving me without heat or defrost. ... rom home, I tried to drive home. With no heat or defrost my windows started immediately fogging up . I began to try to wipe the windshield with my hand to be able to see to drive. Frost appeared on the inside of the windshield because of being cold outside. I got to my driveway and went to turn in and missed the approach because I could not see. I ended up going down a steep ditch. When I braked my vehicle a stainless steel thermos dislodged from the center console and hit my right knee, injuring me. Chevy Trax and Sonic vehicles from 2014 to 2018 have a defective pigtail from the factory, that causes the heater blower motor to burn up. No recall and as of today Chevy has not manufactured a non defective pig tail. I feel this is a really dangerous situation for people in winter climates. Never knowing when the blower motor will stop working causing impaired visibility due to the car windows fogging up. Spending over $1,800 on repairs, that can never be fixed and as my only form of transportation, I am left with out a safe vehicle to drive. On the Chevy Trax forum you will see pages of people that have the same problem . The local Chevy dealer garage will not make the damage right & are very reluctant to honor the 2 recalls I have had on this car. Arguing with me that there was rodent damage that caused the fan to burn up. Their work order says no damage to the wiring, or no short. Also blaming Landreth automotive. While driving on the highway at about 65/70mph, my seatbelts locked and the emergency brakes engaged along with the lane departure warning and a couple other warning lights I’ve never seen. This has happened approximately 3 times.

The brake pump which pressurizes the nitrogen accumulator kept cycling on more and more frequently until it was cycling on every 8 seconds after stopping while trying to maintain pressure in the automated brake system. This seems to be a common issue often being discussed online in forums like “Prius Chat”, an online car community describing the characteristics of the power brake system in this vehicle before it fails as well as with a number of online youtube mechanics replacing these units. It seems as though the solution is for dealerships to charge in many cases more than 4000 dollars to replace both the entire “Brake Booster Assy, w/Master Cylinder” and the “ Pump Assy, Brake Booster” as standard procedure. I believe it’s the ‘Brake Booster Assy, w/Master Cylinder’ unit causing the issue, I do all my own repair work on my vehicles and I partially disassembled the booster/master cylinder unit, upon removing the cover for the circuit board control unit integrated into the assembly I discovered evidence of an overheated or corroded circuit board. The soldered pins for the main bus connecting the wiring harness to the circuit board showed possible charing and discoloration as well as very dull colored soldered joints. This was also observed at the bottom of the circuit board as well. After replacing both assembly units in the vehicle the brakes work flawlessly again. I was told by the parts salesman at the local Toyota dealership that he had been selling a lot of these replacement units lately.Read more

I bought my vehicle 10 months ago the Ram 1500 rebel 2018 without knowing its suspensions issues when the cold weather started my air suspension issues started I wen to the dealer they couldn’t do anything about the price to fix is to much to pay at once out pocket for something much rams rebels go through in this case mine the worst part when I did the oil change and alignment the dealer stated
... that my suspension was to low to do an alignment I have to fix it first and then do the alignment and now if I don’t fix it I have to drive my car unsafely trough the road when honestly I think is something the manufacturer should fix or give me a discount for it’s manufacturer defect that all rams rebel go trough my front suspension is very low and that’s stoping me to get my alignment i never mistreated my car or even press the air suspension button to lower it it just happened when the cold weather started I think is something the manufacture could help me with or at least give me a discount or recall on the vehicle thank you.Read more
