Issue had not been persistent, on Sunday, May the 12th, 2024, while driving home, I was on a slight downward slope coming to a halt at a red light, when the car jolted slightly and the warning lights came. The auto-shutoff feature on the vehicle stopped working immediately. I was able to drive the car home, but after parking - the vehicle wouldn’t start again. Electronic screen on the radio came
... on and I could see error codes P1437 & P15A5. Also warnings on the dash to check IMA system, check charging system, check battery, check breaking system. Power steering locked up due to the voltage shortage. What is the reason/explanation provided by the dealer, as to what caused this issue? DTC'S P0A78 - MPI INTERNAL CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION, P1440 - MPI OUT CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION. MPI FAILING INTERNALLY, CAUSING 12V BATTERY TO LOSE CHARGE. Previously parts involved were recalled in Dec 2020, since American Honda didn’t not include my VIN they have refused to be of any assistance - monopolizing on being the only available source to change the parts. Had I received the recall, I would have had it addressed prior to the part going out. I’m 6330 miles over what they would have covered because I had no idea this was an issue until I found the safety bulletin which exactly described the recall and what happened to be my experience. Same issues, but I’m being told I couldn’t be included. They are charging me over $1400 for the part alone and then service which includes a complete removal of my back seats. I JUST spent nearly $4000 in Feb 2023 on the AC because the car wouldn’t start, who is to say this wasn’t undetected issue at the time?!Read more

Acura didn’t do its due process and assumed a new transmission was needed. Repla

Refused as I believe Acura has been incorrect about the diagnostic. They also stated my vehicle was in a collision and it wasn’t. They refused to check electrical issues and update software as these things are not in my control. It is my belief the car had a faulty collision warning which is causing other issues as well as Acura refusing to probably assist and diagnose without me continuing to be falsely diagnosedRead more

I have the Graco Turn2Me car seat installed rear facing on the driver's side of the middle row (captain's chairs) of my vehicle. The car seat is installed with the seat belt due to my daughter's weight (36 pounds, so we were not able to use the latch). The car seat has been adjusted to the appropriate recline based on the installation method and weight of my child. There is an appropriate amount o
... f space between the back of the driver's seat and the car seat itself. The car seat was installed by a CPST, following all rules of installation as laid out by both my vehicle manual and the car seat installation guide (graco). The issue is that despite the perfect installation, over time (meaning a few trips), the base of the car seat becomes loose as the child gets in and out of the car seat. The car seat is then no longer securely installed in the car. This particular model rotates, so that the child can be easily loaded and harnessed into the car seat while facing outwards. While the seat is facing outwards, it also tips backwards, essentially lifting a majority of the base off of the base of the seat of the car. I have reinstalled this car seat several times following all guidelines, and despite an initially correct install, within a few trips the base becomes loose and the entire car seat is tilted. Based on a quick internet search, this is a very common problem with this make and model car seat, especially when installed using the seat belt, rear facing. I do not feel that it is at all safe for my child to be in this car seat and it should be recalled immediately by Graco. No parent should have to uninstall/reinstall a car seat in a car after a few trips because it is coming lose. Photos attached show how tilted the car seat has become in the car (despite initially being installed securely). For some reason I was unable to upload videos but can share those as well showing how loose the base has become despite a proper install.Read more

Brake control module disconnects trailer brakes while towing. Apparently a known issue with trailers equipped with solar battery chargers which have higher charge than vehicle battery. It feeds back into the trailer brake power module causing it to shut down. The vehicle has an integrated trailer brake controller as it is specifically designed with primary function as a tow vehicle. Shutting
... down the integrated trailer brake controller results in loss of trailer brakes. Not having trailer brakes is critically dangerous. GM has issued a TSB #23-NA-149 specifically addressing this known defect. Unfortunately, GM refuses to authorize its service technicians to replace the defective brake controller unless they experience the defect personally - the policy is to disbelieve the customer with the defective vehicle. Effectively, this requires providing the trailer to the service tech to drive around until the brakes fail, thus creating another dangerous situation for a tech who may or may not have experience driving vehicles over 50’ in length. Thus, it would appear the best remedy is to enforce a recall to replace the defective brake controller before someone is harm by loss of brakes, since GM requires its techs to encounter a loss of brakes before authorization of replacement of the known defective unit. This happened over 25 times during a trip last week. This fact situation reveals why your Administration actually exists - to protect the public from harm.Read more

The complaint is about the sunroof which has an open recall with all warning signs and risks exactly identical to my make, year and model (2016 mercedes benz c300). More than 15,000 vehicles have been affected by this problem and the warning signs suddenly appear with the vehicle. Mercedes Benz after their investigation after several reports were filed, later found that the sunroof glass panels w
... ere installed without prior application of the primer (bonding agent) which was supposed to ensure the specified strength of the bonded joint. NHTSA received several complaints concerning this issue where the sunroof suddenly began shaking and rattling which began with the driver noticing excessive wind noises in the area of the sunroof while driving indicating that the panel might be partially separated from the vehicle. I began noticing this on Tuesday May 28th, 2024, when my sunroof tilted open on the left side and failed to open properly. Upon closing it, I began to drive, and the wind noise and excessive rattling was immediately noticeable. It sounded like the wind was forcing open my sunroof and was almost like the wind was about to pull it out. In fear, I slowed down to about 20mph, but it was still very noticeable. I got scared and immediately pulled to the side of the freeway and parked. Then I immediately looked up the issue on google and noticed that there was an open recall for the exact same issue, for my make, model and year. It was noted that the roofs if not fixed will eventually pull out and flyaway posing a safety risk to the driver and other motorists who may crash as they try to avoid the debris or if the panel hits them. Luckily, I pulled over quicky out of fear for it felt like my sunroof was literally about to pull off by the wind. Now I am unable to drive my vehicle because of fear for my safety. Please I would appreciate if this were resolved and for my vehicle to be recalled and fixed immediately as soon as possible. Thanks.Read more

So I put the car in park and back in drive and it started turning a little bit so I was able to pull off the road into an abandoned parking lot. I tried to turn the car off and it would not turn off. So I unhooked the battery cable and it cut off. I had the car towed to my house. They hooked the cables back up yo get the car onto the tow truck. Once the car was home, the wheel was fine but it had some warning messages on the dashboard. So the next day it rained again.
