... e drive I plugged the car in and obtained a full charge. At 6:15am I opened the hatch and packed my car. The rear hatch opened without any issues. At 6:30 am I tried to enter the car and the car was locked. Fortunately I left the hatch open and I was able to crawl through the back of the car and open the car doors. I then tried starting the car and the car would not function, no click, no lights, all electric systems were dead. I reviewed the app on my phone and what was 36 miles 100% charged the previous night now stated 0% charged and -1 miles. Something had discharged the car overnight. There were no lights on or doors left open. The car was transported to the dealer. After a day of testing the battery (which was within spec) and the functions of the car the tech recommended the app that I used to monitor the charge status and other status's of the car including the ability to remote start the car be removed from my iphone. It is thought that the car overly communicates with the app thereby draining the battery. Doing on-line research I learned that others have come to this same conclusion. I am requesting that Toyota Motor Company immediately investigate this issue and if the app is the culprit immediately issue a warning to all its consumers that use the app to immediately remove the Lexus app from their phone. If a person had placed their children in a car seat, activated the hatch and closed the doors the doors would automatically lock. A caregiver could inadvertently lock their child in the car.Read more

I have spoken to my dealer couple times and they claimed changing my air filter cabin would help, but it hasn’t. The dealer has explained to me that they would need to perform a deep clean in the AC vents to completely remove the smell and I would need to pay out of pocket, which I don’t believe is fair. I live in California not even an hour from their past head quarters and about 30 minutes from their last corporate office and although I don’t believe this gives me any priority over another Fisker owner in another state, it would seem that at least I would be conveniently located to expedite any help or have me drive to any location for recall, warranty or software help. Lastly, this is a plea for help. Four Subaru dealership licensed service centers in Maine and New Hampshire have had for some 8 weeks my Outback to evaluate, diagnose, and -upon my approval- service. Every one of the four Subaru locations was been unable to resolve a single one of these chronic problems of the Outback's erratic 1) start/no-start, 2) triggered security light and activated alarm, 3) dashboard battery and brake icon
... s lighting/pulsing, 4) error code 55 (or SS) and 5) car headlights pulsing. The above problems compound with the issues Subaru's service teams have failed to resolve since early days of new car ownership (despite repeated repair) for 1) brakes regularly making noise, 2) radio randomly changing volume or shutting off, and 3) back tail light not working. Note: During the first two years of ownership, Subaru's service stated it "could not replicate" the problem with the brakes I'd reported within weeks of purchasing the new car. But a few weeks out of warranty, the same Subaru service location stated "I need whole new brakes" and quoted some $1,800 in repairs. A few months later, Subaru issued its first admission to the defective brake system. These four Subaru dealership licensed service centers in part or full 1) held my car at least 2x - 4x longer than quoted, while upselling me on the loaner model, then missing several by which they'd a written diagnostic report , 2) refused diagnostic report and when sought provided scant or impractical information, 3) demanded under threat of rental fees if loaner was not retuned within a couple of hours .... during a business day (including at distant locations too far to reach by deadline), and 5) sought many hundreds of dollars in payment for undisclosed and unapproved work without ever diagnosing issue, which they demanded in conjunction with the rental fees ginned up by dragging out and then failing to do the diagnostic work. Subaru USA added years of delay and refuses to honor manufacturer's or licensee-issued warranties.Read more
