The hydraulic control module and the ABS module are not working properly. This is a known defect on these trucks. When the lights are on, the ABS will not engage. I have had the truck at the dealer, and they said since there is no recall, they can do nothing. This problem was addressed in a recall for 2020 and newer trucks but not for 2018 trucks. To say I felt unsafe with cars flying by going 70 mph and the car slowing down out of my control with a newborn in the car is an understatement. With less than 300 miles on the car, Toyota of Wilmington confirmed it was a faulty transmission. In addition to the poor quality and safety concern, customer service and the disconnect between areas - dealership, corporate, and financial when trying to get any resolution has been ridiculous. When I asked my sales rep if the issue was a concern he informed me my gear was probably wrong and assured me I would be fine making it back to Charlotte. When I called Toyota of Wilmington, despite me telling them I was there for the weekend and needed to get home Sunday they said they could see me the following Thursday, despite the issue at hand. It wasn't until I told them it was undriveable after trying to drive again and had it towed there that they magically fit us in. I am now a month without a car, given a smaller size rental car with no ETA on being able to get a new one and unable to get in touch with anyone in Financial to discuss the car payment they are still billing me for. Upon getting it home and a day later upon jump starting again and when i began to turn the wheel, a violent jerking response came from the steering column. Cheched the dash and several popup windows had to be closed. AWD, BATTERY, and low fuel. There was also the wrench light on the dash itself. Went on the Ford forum and many others were describing the same issues, mainly battery drain. I thought i had disconnected the cargo area lights only to find out i did disconnect part but not them all only to further discover Ford engineered the vehicle where most of the features that were described in the forum not so accessible such as the fuse panel 'fuse 32' because theres no clear indication of where that is exactly on the diagrams. Ive have pretty much used the vehicle on occasions where im moving my equipment. As of september, i received a letter from fords "Customer Satisfaction Program" in which i responded only to be told from Bannister Ford that the Software Update that would fix High-Torque launches would not be installed because the battery light was on. Now to me, this sounds like a catch-22 because the issue is with their electrical design where if one problem occurs they have a fix but you wont get it until you fix the prom (ideally with them). all the while I'm setting up the appointment im being served ads for add-on services. On 09/28/24, at 1700 miles and in the parking lot of a restaurant, smoke suddenly began filling the cabin and when I looked out the window the entire car's front was engulfed in a gray smoke. My sister-in-law entered the car to retrieve her purse, and her eyes instantly started watering and she had a headache for several days. She is still complaining of her chest burning. After calling roadside, the AAA driver stated the car really smelled badly burned, and hauled the car off to the dealer of purchase. The fire was on 09/28/24 (a Saturday), and on Monday, 09/30/24, I submitted what took place to Hyundai. This is when the fraud started and Hyundai, with the help of the dealer, have purposely done everything possible to conceal the fire. I have full details of this fraud, and it's simply shocking. The only way to turn off the car manually is defeated by, you guessed it, depressing the brake pedal. This causes the vehicle to remain on and unlocked. Even if you are able to leave the vehicle in a locked park state, at any point, the sensor can register a "pressed" reading and essentially unlock

On 09/12/2024 Ran over a small sharp object in the road and popped the rear drivers side tire and the tire sensor light came on. Two days later on 09/14/2024 we took the car to the dealership and had them change all four tires. We were told the mechanic found a broken off sensor in one of the tires. It was not in the blown out tire, it was in a tire that had no damage to the tire or rim. I talked

He said the mechanic was sure he didn't break the sensor off the stem when changing the tire, that it happens, the sensor can break off the stem and he has seen this before. I asked if they had saved the defected part and he said that he didn't have it and the mechanic had probably thrown it out in the trash. I asked if the manufacturer knows that sensors are just breaking off in side tires. He said he didn't see any recalls for sensors at this time. I would think the manufacturer would want to see the defected TPMS to determine why the TPMS broke off the stem and if a recall is necessary. At this point I'm feeling uneasy about having three other original TPMS's that can break off at any time and having an unbalanced tire situation. I would like to know if this is a safety issue, having a TPMS break off and leaving a tire unbalanced, especially in a front tire when going up to 85 miles an hour on some roads in this country?Read more

... ulting in damage to my vehicle. My vehicle was towed to Hyundai Yuma on 1 September 2024, by Hyundai Roadside Assistance. After an inspection by Hyundai Yuma on 5 September 2024, it was determined that there was a defect in the camber of the alignment of the car that caused the catastrophic tire failure, damage to my vehicle's front skirt and bumper, as well as premature wear on all three existing tires to the point in which they are not safe to remain on the car. The only solution to this defect according to Hyundai Yuma is an Aftermarket component to correct the defect in the camber of the vehicle. When attempting to accelerate the vehicle does not respond and experiences a three to five second delay. The delayed response began occurring shortly after purchasing the vehicle in 2018 and has only increased in frequency. This issue appears to be systemic with this model and year and the dealership has no remedy to mitigate this safety issue / concern.
