While the carseat is installed in forward facing position with a seat belt my 30lb [XXX] old is able to push the buttons to uninstall the car seat while car is in motion. The click tight buttons become loose when she is in the seat. We do have two Britax poplar car seats so this is not isolated to a single seat. She is able to lift the fabric and lightly press both buttons separately uninstalling
... the car seat. I reached out to the manufacturer. Their resolution is to do a harness check (which we will be completing) and told me to have a safety conversation with my [XXX] old. I am concerned for the safety of my child and all other children. We discovered this issue on a road trip when my daughter told me she broke her car seat. I assumed she just lifted the fabric only to discover 1 1/2 hours later that she uninstalled the seat. ‘Sticky’ steering has developed over the last few thousand miles driving this vehicle. It began with the car resisting turning when driving straight. More force than expected is necessary to turn the car and it is unpredictable for when it occurs, which raises a major safety concern. When I discussed this issue with Honda they said it’s likely the whole rack and pinion and they knew it was s
... uch because many other drivers of this car had the same issue. There is clearly a fault with this part in the car failing, thus causing many drivers of this car to have to get this repair. Over the past few years, this part has been on back order due to the frequency of this part failing. The fact that Honda is aware of the issue and has done countless replacements of this part indicates there is a substantial fault with a critical part of the car for safe driving. This car has been in no accidents or hit/run over anything that would warrant the rack and pinion to fail. Something like a tie rod or control arm is a more typical replacement, but the whole steering rack failing is questionable for the integrity of the part.Read more

The backup camera is failing to shut down when the vehicle is put into drive. The camera will stay on for 30 seconds to five minutes when the car is moving forward. The issue was reported to the local GM dealer and the vehicle was brought in for service. They were unable to replicate the problem, so nothing was repaired by the dealership. The problem used to occur once or twice a month. Its f
... requency has increased. In the last two weeks, while driving on vacation, the backup camera failed to shut off three or four times each day. Sometimes it lasted only 30 seconds and was mainly inconvenient. Several times it lasted longer. In one instance the camera stayed on for five minutes while driven down the Interstate at night. When the camera stays on, it is very distracting, especially at night. Also, you can use the touch screen to access any other vehicle features while the camera is on. There are no dashboard error lights associated with this issue. No codes are generated in the vehicle that can be scanned for. All the dealership that told us about the vehicle issue is that they can't replicate the stuck-on camera problem and won't do any diagnostic work. The car is still under warranty.Read more

I own a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Platinum Hybrid MAX with approximately 34,000 miles. The vehicle has experienced repeated delayed or absent acceleration from a complete stop, creating a serious risk when entering traffic. Before the most recent repair, I reported intermittent hesitation to the Toyota dealer. On Sunday, July 12, 2026, shortly after startup, the vehicle hesitated twice within
... the first half mile. At the second stop sign, I attempted a left turn into traffic and applied approximately 30% accelerator pedal. The engine was running, but the vehicle only crept forward at idle-level power for approximately three seconds. There was no noticeable increase in engine RPM and no warning lights. Normal power then returned. On July 15, 2026, the Toyota dealer performed TSB T-SB-0017-24 and updated the engine-control software for hesitation during acceleration. After that repair, the same loss-of-acceleration condition happened again while my wife was leaving a parking lot. She was stopped at a stop sign, making a right turn into traffic on a slight uphill grade, when the vehicle failed to provide normal acceleration. This was substantially similar to the earlier incident and occurred after the software update intended to correct the problem. The repeated failure to respond to accelerator input from a stop creates a collision risk because the vehicle can begin entering traffic without providing the expected power. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether this is a broader safety defect affecting the Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX and whether the existing software repair is effective.Read more

It was inoperable in the worst possible spot on Highway 51 during rush hour traffic. I managed to slowing coast down the offramp and roll into a parking lot. I then called Purdy Hyundai and spoke with a service advisor and provided the VIN#. He (Vue Kue) informed me that the vehicle qualified for the recall and warranty work based on exactly that issue. I had the vehicle towed to the Purdy dealership on July 8th 2026. I was told today that it was unlikely that Hyundai would honor the recall because I did not have service records of a vehicle I had owned for 6 miles of driving. The starter/starter solenoid and related engine oil sealing have failed three times. Most recently on 6/18/2026, and previously in 2024 and 2025, the vehicle would not start: the dashboard illuminated but the engine would not crank. The engine then began smoking and a burning electrical smell entered the cabin. My wife and young child were in the vehicle. The vehicle was rendered completely inoper
... able and had to be towed each time. Safety risk: an engine that smokes and emits a burning electrical odor upon attempted starting presents a fire hazard to occupants. On the most recent occurrence the failure happened at a fuel station with my family present, over 1,000 miles from home, stranding us for seven days. Dealer confirmation: yes. On the two prior occasions a franchise dealer diagnosed a defective starter solenoid and replaced the starter. Both repairs failed and the identical failure recurred. On the most recent occurrence, a different franchise dealer found that a plug sealing an unused opening on the engine block was missing, allowing engine oil to spray onto and saturate the starter, destroying it. The starter and the plug were replaced. All failures were documented on dealer repair orders, which are available on request. Inspection: the vehicle has been inspected and repaired by franchise dealers on all three occasions. No police or insurance inspection. The manufacturer has been notified through its customer care department, which has open case records on this vehicle. Warning indicators: none. There were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms prior to any of the three failures. The vehicle simply would not crank, followed by smoke and a burning electrical smell. This vehicle has spent approximately 60 days out of service since purchase and has had persistent electrical problems documented since 2023. Despite repeated dealer repairs the same failure mode continues to recur. I am reporting this as an unaddressed safety defect.Read more

I purchased this vehicle on March 14, 2026. On June 2, 2026, I reported to the dealership that the front bumper cover was beginning to separate from the vehicle near the headlights. The bumper appears to be inadequately supported because the plastic mounting brackets beneath the headlights do not provide sufficient structural support for the weight of the bumper cover. The dealership acknowledged
... the issue and sent my vehicle to its collision repair facility on June 23, 2026. I received the vehicle back on June 25, 2026 after repairs were completed. Unfortunately, the repair was only temporary. By July 20, 2026, the bumper had once again begun separating from the vehicle in the same location. I live in an extremely hot climate where summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F. It appears that the plastic brackets become soft or deform from the heat, causing them to lose their ability to securely retain the bumper cover. This raises concerns that the design and materials used are not appropriate for normal operating conditions in many parts of the United States. Based on my research, this is not an isolated incident. Numerous other 2025 Toyota Camry owners have reported the same problem involving front bumper separation at the headlight mounting points. Despite the widespread nature of this apparent defect, Toyota has not issued a safety recall or provided a permanent repair. I am concerned that continued separation of the front bumper could create a safety hazard if the bumper becomes detached while driving, potentially creating road debris or increasing the risk of a crash. Consumers should not be required to repeatedly repair a component that appears to suffer from a design defect. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate this issue and determine whether the front bumper mounting system on the 2025 Toyota Camry constitutes a safety-related defect warranting a recall or other corrective action.Read more

The dealership put in a warranty claim on Friday and finally found out it was approved on Tuesday. The mechanic ordered the glass to be shipped overnight on Friday. 10 days later I hadn't heard anything from them, so I called them, and they didnt have the glass yet, and didnt know why. My 2018 Audi Q5 experienced significant water intrusion due to a failure of the panoramic sunroof drain system. Water entered the vehicle interior and traveled down into the electrical compartment, submerging the comfort module and damaging multiple wiring harnesses. This caused the vehicle to become inoperable and unable to start. Audi has issued Technical Service Bulletin 2075969/2 describing t
... his exact defect. The bulletin states that the sunroof drain hoses can be kinked during factory installation of the headliner, which blocks drainage and causes water to enter the vehicle. This is a manufacturing defect affecting multiple model years of the Audi Q5. In my case, the water intrusion caused electrical failure, loss of vehicle function, and required thousands of dollars in repairs. Audi declined to cover the defect and stated the vehicle was not maintained on schedule, even though maintenance has no relationship to kinked or improperly routed sunroof drains. This defect poses a safety risk because water intrusion into electrical components can cause sudden vehicle failure, electrical shorts, corrosion, and loss of critical systems. The failure occurred without warning. I am reporting this because the issue appears to be widespread, documented by Audi, and has the potential to disable vehicles unexpectedly.Read more
