The component that is malfunctioning is my engine. I took it into the dealership and they said I had cylinder scoring on my engine from excessive oil consumption. My safety was put as risk as my car threw itself into limp mode in the middle of the high way while going over 70 mph. I had to immediately pull over on the side of the highway and somehow get it back home while not being able to accel
... erate fully. My car is not drivable in this mode as it is unsafe. This issue has been confirmed by a dear shop although they refuse to replace the engine unless I pay for it out of pocket which is not possible. The vehicle component was inspected at the dealership. There was no prior warning to the engine issues. If there had been oil consumption issues before I had just recently bought the vehicle and there was no way of me knowing.Read more

Head Gasket failure. This causes the car to begin misfiring/stalling while accelerating. This is seriously dangerous. It happens when you are accelerating. Then, since it's an emission/misfire issue, the car goes into limp mode and forces the car to no longer exceed the limp mode speed, which is usually like 30 or 35 mph.The stark difference from highway speed resulted in me almost getting rear-
... ended by a semi. This has happened to me on two different occasions and posses a legit safety concern for everyone. You can do a simple 2-second Google search and find an insane amount of people having the exact same issue. I am luckily trained in high stress and ooo shit scenarios, so I was able to successfully get the car off the road without dying or getting smoked by a semi or driver not expecting the car that just entered the highway to drastically be slowing down. However, the average person would probably not instinctively hit the hazards and get over/off the road and onto the side. This issue is completely unrelated to the fuel pump recall because if it was a fuel pump failure, the car would never end up in limp mode. Limp mode is almost always emissions related(IE misfiring from head gasket leakage).Read more

There is a recall on my 2020 Acura MDX and I have been going to the local Acura dealer to get the part for the last 6 months and every time I go they tell me they are still waiting for the part. Periodically, the vehicle lurches while I am driving causing a major back and forth tugging and jerking. This is very unsafe. I am demanding that Acura prioritizes my need to get this fixed. I do not know
... if the jerking of the vehicle is due to the recall, but regardless, Acura needs to do the right thing and send the part to the Acura dealership so I can get this fixed. I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V720000) for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The vehicle has experienced stalling and a significant loss of engine power while driving, creating a serious safety hazard. These issues were first noticed in October 2024 and the vehicle has become unsafe to drive as a result. I previously submitted a complaint to the
... NHTSA in October 2024, but the issue remains unresolved. Following the recall advisory, I brought my vehicle to an authorized dealership on November 26, 2024, where I was informed that no available fix exists for this recall issue, and the dealership could not provide a timeline for when a remedy would be available. The malfunction involves the high-voltage battery pack software, which is part of the recall remedy. However, this update has not been applied to my vehicle, and the ongoing performance degradation continues to put my safety at risk. The recall explicitly mentions the potential for fire and injury, which heightens my concern regarding the unresolved issue. Safety Risk: The stalling and loss of power while driving creates an immediate danger to my safety and that of others on the road. The vehicle is no longer reliable or safe to drive under these conditions. Dealer Confirmation: The problem has been confirmed by the dealership, but no remedy has been provided, and no repair timeline has been given. Symptoms: Prior to the failure, no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms were present, and the issue emerged suddenly while driving. Resolution Requested: I request an investigation into Chrysler’s failure to resolve this recall in a timely manner. I urge the NHTSA to take corrective action to ensure that the necessary repairs are made promptly to avoid further risk to my safety and the safety of others.Read more

Today my 19 year old daughter was driving and her car just died in the middle of the road. And it wouldn’t start back up. It finally did start and she was able to pull over out of traffic. ... at anybody cares. One of these times somebody is going to hit my daughter and I hope she doesn’t die due to an accident. This is a huge safety issue and I know there is a safety recall on fuel pumps. Just not my daughter‘s model. She needs this fuel pump fixed and replaced and Honda needs to pay for it. Every other 2020 Honda has a fuel pump recall except my daughter’s model and I think that this issue happening about 20 times warrants a recall. Would Honda rather fix the fuel pump or have somebody get into a serious accident because they didn’t. We don’t have the money to just buy another car or pay to get it fixed as it is expensive and I know that other cars are being fixed for free under the recall. If this is the wrong site to to bring this issue forward and have something be done please somebody let me know so I can address the correct people. Like I said I have filled this out about 20 times and nobody has ever contacted me or got back to me.Read more

This is a 7 day old vehicle. Twice in the past two days the steering wheel locked up when steering into a turn, forcing me to slam on the brakes to avoid crashing.
