The recall states the magnetic material attached to the tone wheel if lost the engine loses its ability to synchronize injector pulse and cam timing. The car is constantly throwing codes for faulty emissions system problem and parking brake problem but the car runs fine. The dealership will not do anything unless I pay them a fee to diagnose it and then they suggest replacing the catalytic converter even though it’s very likely a faulty fuel hose or faulty sensor. While driving on an interstate, the Instrument cluster / digital gauge cluster screen behind my steering wheel turned off. I was driving with my adaptive cruise control on when all of a sudden I see the screen go black and I was no longer able to see how fast the car was going, the engine temperature, or how much fuel I had, as well as all of the other metrics on that dashboard. ... power, because the entertainment screen in the middle of my dash remained on and responsive during the short period of time that my instrument cluster screen was off, and I never lost power steering. Instinctively, I pressed on the break pedal and pulled off of the road onto the shoulder, so I’m not sure if the cruise control would have stayed on. After a few minutes on the shoulder, the instrument cluster screen turned back on, not quite like it does when you turn on the car, but it flashed a bunch of the warning lights and slowly came back to normal. I was able to drive my car safely and without another incident back home, however I am very concerned about this happening again. There were no warning lights, signals, or sounds before this happened. Driving on any road, weather it’s a highway or an interstate, it is very important to be able to see how fast you are traveling for the safety of yourself, your children, and the other drivers. There is a popular recall among this same vehicle type, however mine was not included in the previous recall even though it just repeated the same problem the other ford escapes were having. There is an active recall on the brake calipers and fuel pump for Acura Mdx 2017, and Hondas. My Acura Mdx 2017 has the same issues with a code of p07e4, which is the brake calipers. When looking up the recall of my car, there is no recall on it when inserting the VIN. My car is an Acura Mdx 2017; I do not understand why it is not included in the recall when it should.

1) 12/20/2024: Took the car to a Mitsubishi dealer as the 'Check Engine Light' was ON for a few days. They erased the code but could not diagnose the cause. Returned home and could NOT charge the car using the same standard outlet (level 1) I used since I bought the car. The instrument cluster displayed the following (Please see Pic 1): a) Error message 'PHEV System Fault, Service Required

Since 12/20/2024, I have been driving the car with these serious safety issues. 2) 1/2/2025: 'On-board charger' was replaced by the dealer. But the same error continued. Per dealer invoice, they "performed drive cycle pattern 3 and the code returned". Obviously under certain conditions, the erased code returned. 3) Since mid-November, 2024, I have been noticing two different EV range mileage. Please see Pic 2. My phone app showed (on 1/26/2025) a 51 mile EV range whereas the instrument cluster showed only a 39 mile range. All the errors still remain as of 1/26/2025. 4) Opened a case with Mitsubishi but they are refusing to respond with updates. We were around 30 miles from Iowa City, I was passing a semi-truck, a message was displayed on the dash to clean the radar sensor. I thought of pulling over in a safe spot to clean it up. At the same time, "front collision off" and "brake system" icon lite up. The road also changed from downhill to uphill. Suddenly, the vehicle started swaying in my lane, towards the semi-truck wheels and towards the guard rails. I was able to control the steering and come to a stop. That was a near death experience. I got my breath for a minute and cleared the radar sensor. After cleaning the radar sensor, the vehicle was driving fine going up and down the rolling hills of Iowa. Concern: Why a blocked radar sensor should impact the braking system? I understood the impact to adaptive cruise control and front collision features. Are the traction control, ABS, or some other system disabled due to malfunction of the radar sensor? Can the radar sensor wires being bad disables the braking ability? Over the past 4 months the powertrain malfunction light has illuminated 4 times on random occasions. The first time it came on while I was driving home from shopping. I did not notice the light until I stalled in the intersection trying to get on to the interstate. Stopped at the Ford dealership and insisted they scan it while the light was on. They refused and kept it for 2 days to tell me there
... was nothing wrong. Two weeks later, I was again traveling at an average speed. The light illuminated. Stopped at Advanced Auto Parts as it was late evening and Ford was closed. They could not pull a code with the light on stating it could be electrical. Towed the car home on a trailer from 45 minutes away. Upon inspection we discovered the coolant was low, added coolant and light went away. No issues for 3 months after that. The third time it came on I was accelerating on to the interstate. The engine was still pretty cold. The car went into limp mode and struggled to accelerate to highway speed. I parked the car and the light went away after sitting for a few hours. I thought it could be the oil was low or dirty. Took vehicle for oil change at Ford and they could see the light triggering but no code. Light did not come back for about 3 weeks. Fourth time I was driving at an average speed. Light came on and I was able to take vehicle directly to Ford again. Ford scanned the car while running with the light on and got a code for throttle/pedal sensor issues. The throttle position sensor was changed in July 2023. The car is currently at Ford awaiting a diagnosis and replacement of the issue. The powertrain light illuminating is a repeated issue with this vehicle.Read more

While traveling North on [XXX] in N. Texas, congested roadway at the time, had to come to an abrupt stop because a vehicle in front of me suddenly hit their brakes. The forward collision system worked as it should, the icon popped up on the display and the vehicle started braking. Happened to be dirt from recent dust storm with rain so there was a spot that the windshield wipers cant reach therefore the sensor was blocked. Cleaned it off no more icon on the dash. Traveling West on [XXX] in West Texas, the icon appears on the dash once again with the diagonal line through it. The closest vehicle to me was around 3 quarters of a mile in front of me so there was no danger of a front collision. I noticed that as I passed under an overpass the icon disappeared but as soon a I exited the overpass the icon reappeared. Once the sun reached a certain point in the horizon when setting, the icon went off for good. This has also happened when driving in town and I am heading home form work. traveling West into the setting sun. Without a doubt if the sun is in a certain point on the horizon when setting, it will block or blind that sensor however you wish to describe it, and that safety feature will be temporarily inoperable until the sun sets lower. It was almost "skipping" upon acceleration and had a very hard time with cycling between gears. The transmission began making a sound comparable to a normal operating diesel truck (almost sounded like the turbo engines upon acceleration). The truck was sent to the dealership and the transmission was replaced. However, since this replacement we are now experiencing similar symptoms to the previous transmission. Hello and good day, I purchased a 2018 DODGE RAM 3500 with 82k miles for $31k back in March 2024 @ Cambridge Truck located 5640 Glenn Hwy, Cambridge, OH 43725; Phone number 740-255-5200. My family and I were moving back to Connecticut and we needed a truck for all of our furniture/belongings, and for my fiancé's new land

We contacted Capitol Garage Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM which was the closest Dodge. I brought the truck in for a diagnostic and the truck was diagnosed with a faulty/failed transmission. Parts were ordered back in July and expedited in September. I've been in contact with Cambridge Truck and I've been unsuccessful getting anywhere with Cambridge or Dodge even though I purchase an extended warranty the day of purchase. I was having a full blown anxiety attack the day of purchase as well, as I was overwhelmed. I have [XXX] and a [XXX]. I've made every payment including $400 a month for insurance for a vehicle I had on the road for a week. Not to mention I had to extend my Mercedes benz lease as I had no truck to rely on. My Mercedes mileage contract was broken and I was unable to recover my $15,000 down payment. I also had to pay $1200 in lease extension costs, and $800 for insurance. I finally had to purchase another car in October with all of had in my bank $3,700. The truck was for my fiancé's business which has been on hold for 10 mouths, another $100k we're out. This is a huge loss and I'm being ignored and offered nothing. The dealership is well aware of what I'm out as I've requested a refund several times via text to the sales team. Spontaneously the left back side door has failed to close on several occasions. It happened first while parked in the driveway and I had to use my body to get it shut. ... t flung open mid-drive. They told me the car was just cold and that I needed to make sure the handle was flush with the door when trying to close it. The next day, I picked up my dry cleaning and hung it by that door and drove away. I wasn’t aware it failed to latch yet again and only realized it when it flung open while I was driving on the road. This is the same door next to my son’s car seat which is terrifying to think about. I ensured the handle was flush and it still wouldn’t close until I hip checked it shut 3 times. Without a clear cause or reasonable solution (it is not reasonable to expect this just because it’s cold out), it is imperative that Volvo address this on behalf of the safety of its customers.Read more

... ler at 0730 next day. they said nothing was wrong. snow or dirt probably got behind sensor. It has happened two more times in the next 10 days. I keep taking off work and nothing is wrong. The issue is when this happens you cannot change the vehicle to snow mode to drive. this is a safety feature as well as the flashing "brake" warning and audible alarm. I have a [XXX] and [XXX] driver and they do not want to operate this vehicle. Both times it happened again, I took it to the car wash and cleaned every visible camera and sensor to no avail. I am taking it back to the dealer again this Friday but if nothing is wrong with any of these systems then there is something wrong with the cameras because how can someone operate AWD and snow mode when there are these false warnings and how do you know if they aren't false. I don't want to assume each time it's not but 3 times in 10 days and missing work, etc. Plus I am very nervous driving it like this. The Seltos started losing power driving on interstate, started smoking and then lost all power and would not start. We had the car towed to Brakes plus where we had an oil change as of recent, they confirmed it was piston ring failure and the engine was done for. The car has just over 28,000 miles on it. Kia dealership and warranty is avoiding to state that it was indeed the piston rings failing.
... They simply said it needs a new engine and are demanding maintenance records and receipts. My veteran father has performed most of my oil changes, he was a military mechanic and ASE certified mechanic for over 20 years. Since I didn’t personally purchase the oil used, I don’t have the hard copy receipts they are demanding. Kia refuses to acknowledge that the engine failure is that of the same issue with many other 2021 Seltos that had piston ring issues during manufacturing.Read more

Driving normal about 60mph. Car seems to go into limp mode with no acceleration response. Toyota confirms the clutch actuator is failing causing the vehicle to not have acceleration pressure and that the transmission needs to be replaced.
