This was my first new car purchase and it has literally been the worst experience in my life. The brakes were recalled the fuel injection system now the battery which I’ve already spent 500$ on a new one last year has guess what? Been recalled as of 1/17/2025. So after thousands of dollars in rental car and Uber rides which I have yet to be reimbursed for my vehicle is still at the Ford dealership has been there for over 3 months out of 10k in repairs Ford offered to pay only 4,100. My car which is FWD, not AWD, is exhibiting the same behavior that the recall for the AWD Equinox has. With Adaptive Cruise engaged the car does not slow down or brake when approaching vehicles in front of it. I have to intervene and apply the brakes to prevent hitting the vehicle in front. Also, with ACC on the vehicle will accelerate on its own. I have to intervene to slow the vehicle down.

Vehicle was brought to the dealership on at least 4 or 5 times with this complaint - from 2020 through 2024...One time it was at dealership for almost 2 weeks Dealership would never fully admit to the issue - often times one service person, through test driving would notice the issue, only to then be told it was "normal driving" of this vehicle. On a regular basis, car would stop (pause) "in the face of oncoming traffic - my heart would skip a beat, only for the car to then resume accelerating On many occasions, I discussed with service team - always to be told that there were no known issues Fast forward to 2024 - when Acura notified me of a Recall regarding the Fuel Pump....I quickly scheduled an appointment, brought the car in this past week and had the Recall done. Speaking with the Serviceperson when checking the car in, I brought up the past issues that I have had and asked if this Recall was the likely reason.....the service person - without hesitation said "absolutely"......I then asked him, so was "Acura lying to me ll these past visits".....his response was "sounds like it to me" Since getting the car back - the hesitation has stopped. I have paperwork from all my previous visits - with responses from their technicians I am certain there was consumer fraud conducted by the dealership I bought and serviced this vehicle from (Open Road Acura - Wayne NJ). We tried arbitration but because we continued to drive it, they ruled in the manufacture's favor not understanding we had no choice but to continue driving it to take my wife's father to cancer treatments. Vehice experienced FULL power loss several times. Truck taken to dealership and stated no problem found. Incident happened again a week later. Determined wires can become lose from battery terminals for no reason.
