Date of incident : August 31,2025 Around 9pm on August 31, I was fixing to accelerate at a green light. I pressed the gas pedal, my car went up to 40 mph and then the engine failed. I am writing to formally report a safety-related defect in my 2019 Nissan Sentra and to request reimbursement for repair costs associated with this issue. Although I have been informed that my vehicle is not currently included in Recall
... Campaign PM971, the symptoms and defective part match the recall description precisely. I have verified my VIN through the NHTSA recall lookup tool, and I am concerned that the recall scope may be too narrow, excluding vehicles that are clearly affected. This defect required immediate repair to restore basic vehicle functionality and ensure safety. I have attached documentation of the repair, including the invoice and diagnostic notes, for your review. I respectfully request the following: Reimbursement for the cost of the brake light switch repair. A formal review of my vehicle’s eligibility for Recall PM971. Consideration for expanding the recall to include additional affected vehicles, including mine. I am submitting this complaint in the interest of safety and fairness—not only for myself but for other Nissan owners who may be facing the same issue without recourse. there is a know design defect in the cam phaser on the 3.5L EB motors. Ford knows this exists. They have since redesigned the Phasor system to correct this defect. This isn't wear, or use related. It is completely a byproduct of a defective design. The issue is that the repair costs over $7,000, none of which Ford will cover. IT is a known design problem. It is not due to wear, or accident, it is
... simply an engineering problem. Ford should be required to at least partially compensate owners for this known problem. My motor has less than 50,000 miles on it, and I just spent $7400 getting it repaired. That's about half the cost of a crate motor. It is simply not right for ford to sell a motor with defective compmonents, and expect the owners to pay for their design problems.Read more

See attached document for complaint. In June of 2024, we received a letter from the Honda Automobile Division concerning this recall. In the letter, a highlighted paragraph noted that if the vehicle was not exhibiting any symptoms Listed elsewhere in the letter, Honda would "ask for your patience while we prepare replacement parts" and that we should wait to schedule replacement of the recalled p
... arts until we received such a letter. It is now more than a year later, and we have still heard anything more from Honda about this recall and the availability of replacement parts. It is unreasonable to imagine that Honda would take this long to find replacement parts. We feel Honda is slow-footing this recall repair process, for whatever reason. Manufacturers should be required co cure recalls within a reasonable period of time, and if for some reason they are unable to do so, affected customers ought to receive follow-up letters explaining the unusual and unanticipated delay. We want this potential problem fixed, and it is unfair to us that Honda keeps us hanging when at any moment, the part could behave problematically. The entire point of a recall is to cure the problem before it adversely affects consumers. Honda's tactic of only handling recalls for customers who've already had problems flies in the face of why there's a recall in the first place.Read more

SUMMARY: Propane leaks from outside LP hose when factory zip-tie failed resulting in LP hose detached and damaged from rubbing against the tire. 2022 Winnebago EKKO. DETAILS: RV has a LP hose that routes above the passenger side rear tires from the propane tanks to other locations of the RV. This hose was held back from the rear tire at two locations each with a thin metal tab and a single plas
... tic zip-tie. One of the zip-tie failed, resulting in the LP hose rubbing on the tire when driving. The rubbing made a hole on the hose and propane leaked from the hole. I was cooking next to the RV at a campground when propane was leaking from the damaged hose. The leak could have caused an explosion and serious injury to anyone nearby. The design to use plastic zip-tie to keep the LP hose from the tires is unsafe. I have taken photos of the damage and reported this incident to Winnebago customer service via email on 9/11/25. This issue was not reported to the police or insurance company due to no injury. Prior to the propane leak there was no warning or message or other symptoms of the problem. Problem first appeared during a camping trip in late July 2025 when I was camping at White River campground in Mt Rainier National Park in WA.Read more

Vehicle Mileage - 87,200 In February I had the Fuel Pump recall completed after over a year of waiting for the parts to come to the Honda Dealer. I first noticed the recall being issued when I received my notice to renew my registration. Then, I received an official notice from Honda a few months later in the mail. I sent an online appointment form around that time and Bobbi at Honda told me that
... they did not have the parts and I should wait to check again in a few months as it was impossible for them to get the parts in. So I did - I periodically would call her directly in the service department to check and they still did not have it. FINALLY they got the parts in, and she let me know I could schedule to have the recall fixed. I came in about a week later in early February and had it fixed. Since then I've had issues with my emissions system light turning on randomly - usually whenever there was significant changes in the weather - very hot/much cooler. I just took it into the dealership on 8/4/25 because the light the last few days had stayed on. The dealership told me they needed to check the fuel pump for sure because when I explained the situation to them, it very well could be related to the recall being fixed. They informed me they ran several tests and discovered that I need to replace my catalytic converter. It is clear at this mileage on my Honda Pilot and the delays in having the fuel pump recall fixed caused the damage to the catalytic converter. I spent almost an entire year calling the dealership every few months to see if they had the parts in to fix the fuel pump recall, I was told that they did not have the parts in stock and that there was a significant backlog in getting the parts, that it was out of the dealership's hands and that they would let me know when the parts were in stock. After over a year of driving with a defective fuel pump that Honda knew was faulty without any advice received about potential secondary damage.Read more

My 2017 Honda HR-V in White Orchid Pearl (NH-788P) has severe paint peeling on multiple panels (hood, roof, door). Honda issued Service Bulletin 19-064 covering this exact defect. However, I have been informed by Honda customer service and Honda dealers that my vehicle is no longer covered because it is 1 year beyond the 7-year extension period, even though the defect matches the exact conditions
... described in the bulletin. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, not normal wear. A consumer fairness concern, as the defect appears years before what should be the normal paint life of a vehicle. A potential safety concern, since exposed bare metal can lead to rust and structural weakening. I suggest an investigation into whether Honda should expand the paint defect warranty to include affected vehicles beyond the 7-year cutoff. As I believe paint on those defect vehicles don’t usually start peeling until about 7 year old or later and once they start to peel, they peel rapidly. I have attached photos of the peeling paint for your reference. Thank you for your attention to this matter!Read more
