I called GM and the lady I talked to just kept repeating how my van wasn't included in the VIN specific group, and offered no help other than to go to a dealer and pay them to fix the same problem that is covered by other cars of the same year, make, and model. I asked her if it was possible that maybe their VIN groups should be expanded, especially because it's an 8 year old car and the recall just happened like 6 months ago, so maybe they didnt have all the data or info when they made the group of effected vehicles, and she hung up on me. Over next 3 -6 months I spoke to numerous Customer Service employees & Supervisors. I was referred to a Certified Chevrolet Dealer, Dave Gil Chevrolet. I had to use a Large Wedge Pillow & Bed Pillow since the seat was flat back. My car was UNSAFE, difficult to drive & caused concern on whether the seat belts & Air Bags would work properly in the event of an accident or collision. The certified Dealership said that of the 3 motors in the seat, they could get the front one in 2weeks to 3months but not the motor for the rest of the seat. These are the part #’s unsure which is which: 1352-6511 & 1352-5388. I emailed & sent Certified Letter to GMC’s CEO. No response to my email but someone acknowledged my letter. All I ever wanted was my 2019 Equinox repaired properly. Note: Car payment, Insurance, Registration were still expected to be paid & they were by me. I was given a Customer Loyalty Certificate smaller than what I was quoted but not for a new Equinox, for a 2025 Trax which is much smaller! I was told my Equinox couldn’t be repaired, sizable bal due ( I had only purchased 2 yrs prior.) In June 2025 I was mailed a copy of the “California Repurchase Agreement” that GMC was adopting. The electronic instrument cluster and all gauges (speedometer etc.) goes blank while driving the vehicle. The instrument cluster comes back on in about a minute. This was a recall item on the 2024 Chevy Trax but apparently has not been recalled on the 2025 (same issue on the same car). This has happened multiple times on this vehicle.

Since then the car has only been in the dealership to get the car Fully checked out mutltiple times within 2024, 2025 and repaired by Mercedes dealership. On 9/25/25 this happened to me and it was a traumatic experiance when I pressed the break and the break got super hard and in a Locked position and would not come to a stop, there was no warning lights, no engine lights, nothing. (increased braking effort, and potentially I was inches of collision risk. I had the car towed to the nearest shop and was told this is a collapsed break booster Vacuum pump, and possibly the hose and lines and possibly further problems but they would need to replace the Vacuum pump first. My GPS, OnStar and all other cruise control features have stopped functioning. The telematics module has failed within the onstar system. It is preventative by me from getting from place to place safely due to the gps not tracking correctly. The part has been on back order for over a month for me already.
