Vehicle is burning an extreme amount of oil between regular oil changes. We are having no help from our local dealership in Tuscaloosa, AL where we purchased the car to resolve this issue without first spending a lot of money to diagnose an issue we certainly already have. Long before it was due for routine oil change, we checked it and it was COMPLETELY EMPTY of oil. NOTHING IN IT. We have to put
... oil in it three times before its next routine service. We have always had the vehicle serviced, on schedule, by our local Hyundai dealership and are the only owners of the car.Read more

This vehicle was purchased from Audi Fort Lauderdale on July 31, 2025 and on the drive home, 9 safety systems were reported as not working. This has continued for 7 weeks and the dealer has attempted repair 5 times including software updates, front camera replacement, camera alignments and finally the major ECU replacement to no avail. There are many people on the Audi Etron forum complaining of
... the same or similar issues. My car has not functioned safely for a single day since purchase and Audi is dragging their feet on a buyback. Safety was compromised by drivetrain instability and a federal recall involving a starter motor defect that poses a fire risk. Despite this, BMW of Arlington has refused to authorize repairs or allow BMW of Austin to complete the necessary work—even after a $13,565 drivetrain failure diagnosis. On October 4, 2025, our 2022 BMW 840i became inoperable due to worn splines in the rear differential a
... nd drive shaft. BMW of Austin confirmed the failure was consistent with prior service-induced damage. The component is available for inspection. The issue followed a July 24 oil change at BMW of Arlington, after which the vehicle became undriveable. Staff verbally admitted damaging a plastic part but provided no technician report. A loaner vehicle was issued, implying acknowledgment of faultThe problem was confirmed by BMW of Austin. BMW of Arlington has not inspected the failed component and stated they “do not know what caused it.” No inspection has been performed by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Prior symptoms included persistent tire pressure issues, a visibly bent rim, and a failed emissions test dated October 28, 2022—before our purchase. The vehicle was titled at 21,248 miles but listed days later at 41,418 and 48,290 miles, triggering a NMVTIS “possible odometer rollback” alert. Following our escalation to BMW Group CEO [XXX] , our BMW app was restricted and warranty data—including federally protected emissions coverage—was removed. This suggests retaliatory suppression of coverage visibility. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

AC did not work at all when the outside temperature was hot. Service Bulletin 19-091 performed. AC blew cold after the repair. 1 year later AC did not work at all again. Dealership said the extended warranty will not cover it because it is an evaporator leak. This is a known issue and many have complained. If there is a leak in the evaporator then I would assume the refrigerant is leaking into
... the car and not outside the car. Risks of R1234yf Refrigerant: Flammability: R1234yf is classified as mildly flammable (A2L), meaning it requires a significant heat source to ignite but can burn. Car engine sometimes does not restart when the auto start-stop feature is engaged. Car engine is also sluggish to restart when it does work. My local Acura dealer evaluated the car on 10/15/25, found battery was low. Battery was replaced that day, and things seemed okay for about a week. Today (10/21) when I was stopped at a traffic light, the issue returned and my car would not restart after goin
... g into auto start-stop. The car had been on for about 30 minutes. When I tried to restart the engine, it took three tries before finally turning over. Fortunately, this has only happened thus far for me at stoplights, but safety could definitely be impacted if the engine does not turn back on and the car needs to be maneuvered quickly. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to the issue. This started for me about 3 weeks ago. No accidents or known issues with the car prior to the issue. There does not seem to be a predictable pattern to the auto start-stop feature failing.Read more

On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, while driving in regular city traffic, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion without any warning or dashboard alerts. There were no warning lights, messages, or abnormal sounds before the failure occurred. The vehicle instantly shut down while in motion, causing a total loss of acceleration power and leaving me stranded in the middle of traffic. This occurred the
... second time I was driving the car after prior service, and the vehicle again stopped completely, forcing me to pull over and contact OnStar roadside assistance. This was the second major propulsion failure in a short period, each time occurring unexpectedly while driving. The repeated sudden shutdowns without warning present a serious safety risk and indicate an unresolved defect in the vehicle’s electrical and propulsion systems.Read more

Vehicle: 2022 Tesla Model S Tire: Goodyear ElectricDrive 2 255/45R19 104W XL Date of incident: October 15, 2025 Location: Chambers Rd., approximately 1.7 miles from Cosmopolitan Rd., Colorado Speed: Approximately 35 mph (speed limit 40 mph) Mileage on tire: Installed October 31, 2024 — approximately 10,000 miles of light local driving Description of the Problem At approximately 1:30 PM on Octo
... ber 15, 2025, while driving my Tesla Model S southbound on Chambers Road at around 35 mph, the driver-side front tire suddenly exploded and detached completely from the vehicle. I heard a loud thump, then saw a tire rolling ahead of me on the road. The car’s display immediately showed “tire pressure 0.” When I stopped and exited the vehicle, I found that the tire had either blown apart or peeled off the rim and separated entirely from the car. Weather was clear and around 70°F, road conditions were normal, and traffic was light. My tire pressures had been checked earlier that day and were all around 42 PSI. I was unable to retrieve the tire because I have limited mobility and use a scooter. My daughter arrived soon after but could not locate the missing tire either. The vehicle was towed by AAA to a tire shop. The technician stated that the tire appeared to have peeled off the wheel, but could not explain why. The tire was less than one year old and had very low mileage. I drive short local trips daily (around 10–15 miles) and had only taken one 700-mile trip earlier this year. Goodyear was contacted, but they declined to investigate because the tire could not be recovered. This incident could have caused a serious crash had it occurred minutes later on I-25, where I planned to drive at 75 mph. I am reporting this because I believe the tire may have suffered a manufacturing defect, and I am concerned other drivers could experience the same failure.Read more

I took my 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiese to a Chrysler-Dodge-Ram dealership on 9/23/25 for the High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) safety recall. I was told a part had to be ordered to complete the recall and gave me a rental vehicle. After a few days I contacted the dealership about my repair. They said the wrong part was ordered and the new one was in route. After about a week, I called the dealership again
... and I was told "the truck won't start and they were working with Stellantis to figure out why." Several more days passed, I called again, they stated that after the new pump was installed and the truck was started it "blew a rod," but they had fixed it, test drove it, and it would be ready for pick up the next day. I picked up the truck on 10/16/25 and drove less than 50 miles (first trip home from the dealership.) While traveling at highway speed on interstate 77 at night, the truck suddenly lost all engine power, a “throttle” warning message appeared, I noticed a strong odor of burnt oil, and I was only able to get from the left passing lane across to the right truck lane, only getting 2 tires on the shoulder (see pic). The truck would not start again, it just made a click-click-click sound. I jumped out of the truck as there was a truck in that lane coming toward me and ran into the woods to escape. I and the truck were nearly struck by traffic. This was a life-threatening situation. Luckily, a Courtesy Patrol saw me and blocked the lane with road flares. Eventually the truck was towed (had to be dragged on to the flatbed). At that time I noticed engine oil was splashed all over the underside of truck. It was towed to the same dealership. This catastrophic failure occurred hours after I was told it was safe to drive. This incident placed my life and the lives of other motorists at extreme risk. A recall intended to improve safety appears to have introduced a new, severe safety hazard. The truck has been at the dealership since 10/17/25 and I have not been updated since.Read more

I bought the car brand new in 2021. It handled great, no issues, not even on extremely icy roads. The temporary fix for Recall 22S27 was done in July 2023 which was just a computer flash to set the park brake each time the car was put into park. Each time I put it in gear the car would make a loud noise as the park brake released. I immediately felt a difference when driving, it felt like the fron
... t end was "floating" and the car wasn't holding to the road. On dry roads it would be unstable if the road wasn't perfectly smooth. Driving in the winter on icy roads was scary, no control, it would fish back and forth. They performed the actual fix recall 23S55 in May 2024. They did not remove the temporary fix that sets the park brake. In January 2025 I was in a flat parking lot, icy and raining, I had NO control. There were 5 mornings with those road conditions that I couldn't make it 1/8 of a mile. Absolutely no control, it pushed me all over the road and when I braked, it continued to push me all over the road. It never showed warning lights on my dash. My local dealership pulled codes, told me it was a park brake module code but they couldn't do anything until they could duplicate it. I have spent the last 9 months arguing with the dealership and winter is almost here with no help, they treat me like I'm crazy and told me that I'm the only person in the world with this problem. I just traded it off yesterday, lost a bunch of money, but I couldn't go through another winter with it. It's way too dangerous!Read more

As I was driving the car on the highway, the engine light came on, then the "D" for drive gear started flashing and I could no longer accelerate or give the car gas. The only option was to "coast" across several lanes to the break down lane, put the car completely in park, shut off the ignition, and then restart the vehicle to drive again. This happened to me at least 7-8 times today (5 times wh
... ile on the highway and a few while on other roads leading to and from the highway). I was unfortunately already on a drive to drop my children off somewhere so I had no choice but to complete the ride to the destination, then drive back home to park the vehicle. Needless to say, it's a very scary situation when you can no longer accelerate with cars coming up quickly behind you and you are unable to do anything but try to coast to a safe place to put the car in park and shut it off. It also happened to me while crossing an intersection and oncoming traffic from the other direction that then had a green light was swerving around me. I tried calling Jeep customer service to ask if it's a widespread issue and after 20 minutes on hold, the customer service rep came on to simply say their system is down and they're currently unable to assist anyone. I was almost in several accidents because of the issue and hope they send out a warning to all of those affected, assuming it was more than just my vehicle, because this seems to be occurring every since there was a mandatory software update yesterday. This happened at different speeds, in both electric and gas mode, and once while stopped at a red light, so there appears to be no consistent condition under which it occurs. It just unexpectedly happens and you need to pull somewhere safe with minimal control because of the lack of being able to accelerate (esp. if it occurs while you're on an upward slope because the ability to coast is almost nil).Read more

The sunroof of the vehicle spontaneously shattered while driver was driving on I-5 South in Orange County, California. Driver’s safety was compromised due to the potential for glass to have entered the vehicle while vehicle was in motion. The safety of other motorists on the road was also compromised, as pieces of glass appear to have flown off the sunroof into traffic. The sudden shattering was
... also extremely loud and startling, which was also a safety hazard because driver could have panicked and lost control of vehicle. After calling to report the incident to Acura, owner was advised the vehicle’s sunroof has not been recalled nor is it under an extended warranty, despite evidence of a class action lawsuit against American Honda Motor Co., Inc. for related incidents in 2015 to 2021 vehicles. Per the lawsuit, which is a case out of California, the alleged defect in 2015 to 2021 model year Honda and Acura vehicles, referred to in the complaint as the “class vehicles,” puts drivers and their passengers in “serious danger,” as the sunroof explosions can cause “shards of glass to fly through their vehicles, sometimes while driving at high speeds,” and “the loud explosion and flying glass distract drivers and create a hazard to the people in the Class Vehicles and those around them.” The complaint alleges that the sunroofs in Honda and Acura vehicles are made with tempered glass that, because of the pressure created during the tempering process, has been known to “explode suddenly” if the outer layer is compromised. The lawsuit also claims Honda’s use of thin tempered glass for its sunroofs is “substandard, dangerous, and inadequate” given the material’s propensity to shatter or explode.Read more

Incident # 1. June 2025 Vehicle has approximately 3400 miles on it. I was driving southbound on I 35 freeway in the Lakeville Minnesota area. I was in the center lane of the freeway traveling at about 65 mph. Traffic was light. There was no one in front of me. Suddenly, the car broke hard. I was thrust forward against the seatbelt with my hands, pushing against the steering wheel as the car slo
... wed rapidly and came to an abrupt stop from 65 miles an hour. I had no ability to get the car to go. The gas pedal had no effect as this car came to a rapid stop. I found myself stopped in the center lane of the freeway frantically looking around to see what cars were coming, can I find the four way flashers. A car passed me in the right lane and a car passed me in the left lane. Then I was able to limp over to the shoulder out of the traffic lanes. I shut the car off immediately and tried to compose myself. After a moment or two, I turned the engine back on and the car operated normally. At the dealership they fixed some things but they said they didn’t find anything that was directly related to the unexpected rapid braking. Incident #2.
