SHIFTS OCCURS AFTER WHAT IT SEEMS TO BE A PAUSE IN ACCELERATION THEN ENGINE REVS FOR 500 TO 1K RPM BEFORE SHIFTING, THEN THE CAR WILL LUNGE FORWARD. ACURA HAS PERFORMED SOFTWARE UPDATES. IT REDUCED THE HARD SHIFTS BUT IT IS STILL THERE. I HAVE TO TIGHTEN MY NECK AND BRACE FOR A HARDSHIFT I KNOW IS COMING.

THE TRANSMISSION DOWN SHIFTED THEN REVVED UP TO 5,000 RPM AND STAYED THERE, EVEN AFTER I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL! I HAD TO FLOOR THE PEDAL AGAIN TO COAX THE TRANS TO UP-SHIFT. I COMPLAINED TO ACURA HQ. THEY TOLD ME TO TALK TO MY DEALER. I SPOKE TO MY DEALER, AND THEY SAID THAT'S JUST HOW THE TRANSMISSION IS. SO DISAPPOINTED WITH CAR. AFTER RECEIVING A NOTICE FROM ACURA REGARDING HIGH ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION I WAS DIRECTED TO TAKE MY CAR INTO THE ACURA DEALERSHIP FOR AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. I PAID A PREMIUM PRICE TO HAVE MY OIL CHANGE COMPLETED BY THE DEALER, I HAD MY OIL LEVELS MARKED AND WAS TOLD TO BRING THE CAR BACK AFTER 1,000 MILES SO THEY COULD TEST MY OIL CONSUMPTION. AFTER THE 1,000 MI MARK I RETURNED BACK TO THE DEALER TO BE TOLD THAT I HAD USED OVER 1 QUART OF OIL IN MY 1,000 MILES DRIVEN AND THAT THIS WAS CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE TO ACURA AND THEY WOULD NOT BE EXTENDING MY WARRANTY OR FIXING MY PISTON/ENGINE ISSUE. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE OIL CONSUMPTION RATES FOR AN AUTOMOBILE. AFTER EACH OIL CHANGE I RECEIVE AROUND THE 2,000 MI MARK MY ENGINE MAKES A VERY LOUD NOISE WHILE CHANGING GEARS. AFTER I PASSED A TOLL BOOTH, I HEARD A HUGE "GUNSHOT" LIKE EXPLOSION FROM THE ROOF AND REALIZED THE MOONROOF GLASS GOT SHATTERED. VERY SCARY! IT WAS VETERAN'S DAY, SUNNY AND NO TRAFFIC. I'M PRETTY SURE NO ONE HIT ME OR I HIT ANYTHING ELSE. AND I DID NOT SEE ANY ROCKS FALLING/BOUNCING AROUND
